They have a lot of activities. My wife likes the food. The staff is pretty good. They go well. The value for money is good."

"The staff are caring, supportive, compassionate and giving. The rooms are large and the entire facility is clean. The food and good and plentiful. Despite the difficulties due to the pandemic, the staff has provided activities and materials for me to self direct on my own. I go to the lounge and play games with some of the other residents here. My family visits in person and through the computer. I am very happy that I chose Sands Point as my permanent home. "

"my mom had a excellent time there. rehab and nursing were great. dietary was ok for a nursing home but, she wasnt there for the food. would recommend again. the administrator was very friendly and has a open door policy, even goes as far as to give out his number and also picks up the phone when you call him. the facility beautiful and clean. "The only other facility that I have visited is the White House. The place is immaculate and the building is white. That's why they call it the White House. It's a very busy building. The grounds are kept beautiful with green grass and flowers. There is parking in the back of the place where visitors could park. The security is excellent and it is extremely clean. You can't cook there, they feed you. The staff is excellent and they take up time with their patients. They make sure that their patients are clean. They give them snacks. They have a day room where they can go and do anything like color or draw or crochet. The patients seem very happy. They let you take patients out. If you have a friend there, you have to sign them up and you're responsible for them as long as you're out. They don't have to stay there all the time. "

"My father is a resident at New Community Extended Care. I wanted to take my father out of there, because I'm not happy with this facility. I don't see it being safe and sanitized. I'm just not happy with it. I need to get my father out of there, and put him in a better facility. And to the point that I can actually go see my father. I shouldn't have to sit here and have this nurse practitioner timing me for me to see my father. He's not capable of me physically going to see him through a door; my father has Alzheimer's needs, it's not gonna work. The only person that I honestly trust is this nurse practitioner. She's amazing, but that's it. Unfortunately, I never got the opportunity to actually sit down and have lunch with him. 'Cause I was working at that time, I used to bring him food and he always seemed like he was starving. He would eat it all up. Every time I walk in there, it smells like urine. And I understand that. I understand that they are all with diapers, or whatever, but I was going to his bathroom and the bathroom floor was sticky. It was not cleaned. The money that they're taking is his social security."

"I visited a friend at New Grove and I was extremely impressed with the care the staff show. I’ve been here years ago and they really stepped up their game. Food looked great, floors clean, building looked nice! Great job!"

"This place is topnotch. It truly is. The people are very professional. I go to church with mother every Sunday morning and I usually go by three times during the week. The room is immaculate, never dirty, never smells. Unfortunately she has dementia and she's hard of hearing but besides that, they try to give her as much as she can comprehend. They always work with her. I think I found one in a million to tell you the truth. I've heard so many nightmares of other places. I've been to where people don't take their job seriously and these people need a lot of care and continuous monitoring. Alaris is a hundred percent; I have no problem with this nursing home. They always have ample staff on hand. They have a nurse, a supervisor and technicians that are on the floor. There's literally I would say three to four aides at any point in time. "
