"Right now, my mom is at Park Crescent Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center for rehab. They are helping her with speech, and they are helping her to walk. I was there for one of the sessions, and I got her motivated a little to take a walk and stand and stuff. I like them. They're very pleasant, and they keep me posted. They call me if they give her any kind of medicine. My mom was dehydrated, and they called me about that. She has a UTI right now, and they called and told me that because they did urine and blood work on her. They don't just do things, they call me and get my permission to allow them to do whatever. They're very good. They're very caring. I've even noticed that with the other patients there. I like the place. That's why I want to try to keep my mom there as long-term care. I'm very pleased with the place. So far, they have been excellent to me as far as taking care of my mother, and I'm very, very fussy about my mom and how to take care of her. But they're very nice, very thoughtful, and caring. My mother was sleeping over in her wheelchair, and I went to straighten her up, and they said, 'No, no, no, no. We'll do that.' They don't even let me touch my mother. I can't even roll her from her room to the lunchroom where they have lunch, they have to do it. They do everything. It's nice very facility. They're clean. They keep my mom clean. Sometimes I bring my mom food in because she won't eat. She doesn't like it. I looked at it and I could tell it's not that great. The room my mom is in is nice and clean. It's warm and comfortable in her room. She now has a roommate, but it's nice. Right now, I have no complaints about them. The staff members are excellent. I came in here, and I had been crying and they had been good to me, calming me down and everything. In terms of activities, my mom doesn't care about doing anything, but I did get her a little bit interested in it. We played Chinese bingo, and I thought it was fun. It was my first time playing it. She got into it, too, and she seemed to like it. But they were like, 'If she doesn't want to play, she doesn't have to.'"

"South Mountain Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center has been great. They've been amazing. The staff has been very helpful in this journey, and they've made her stay very pleasant. She does like the food there. The facility is very nice and comfortable. They are very well taken care of, I would say. She's not in a position where she can use those facilities at this time. The staff has been great from the admissions to the social worker, to the physician assistant, the physician, and the nurses, they're all great."

"My mother is in Lincoln Park Renaissance Rehab & Nursing. It's excellent. I'm very happy with them. It's very clean. The staff is awesome. They take very good care of my mother, who is hard to take care of. They're always friendly and always smiling. They have little concerts, they play games, they have art classes, and Zumba. It's very active. There are a few things every day. My mother said the food is very good. The choices are good, and it tastes good."

"While looking for options of senior citizens assistance for my parents I got to Livia. Customer agent via web chat was kind and helpful in providing answers to my queries. As son of senior/ederly parents I want to provide them a wonderful and more enjoyable life for the rest of the time that GOD may have planned for them. Customer agent was very attentive, so I hope the rest of the personnel is as good as him or even better. That would provide a sense of trust and confidence that your love ones will be in good hands."

"I toured Harbour View Senior Living. The rooms are big enough, and everything is comfortable. Also, I got the opportunity because everything is included, including the meals, medical attention in case some emergency shows up, and nursing service in case I need it. A parking lot is also included. I can park my car anywhere because there are a lot of areas to park my car, so it's very convenient for me. There is a social room where people can meet and make a program. The price is not very cheap, but it's correct because everything is included. The people were very kind and nice."

"I toured the Hopkins Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare. It was good and very respectful, nice, kind, and clean. The dining area was good. They keep the residents occupied with events every week and try to make it so that everyone is comfortable, which is very helpful. The staff member who gave the tour was very kind."

"It is truly a difficult decision to have a parent reside in a Nursing Home instead of at home but sometimes there is no choice for the family based on their needs. I feel so incredibly grateful that my own mother was a resident at Dry Harbor Nursing Home since the summer of 2022 until her recent passing in March of 2024. In her final years my mother was on the tenth floor of Dry Harbor and was in absolute excellent care. The staff lead by Managing Nurse Tamara was hard working, dedicated, kind and patient with my mother putting my siblings and me at ease knowing our mom was in good hands. On my daily visits I asked questions and showed concern for my mother's health and spirits. Tamara, the managing nurse kept me posted on any new developments in my mother's health or any change in her overall well being. If she was unable to call herself for any reason she directed and left notes for other staff members to notify me of anything that seemed concerning. This gave me such peace of mind. Janet, Lucy, and Pauline just to name a few of the staff, I wish I could mention everyone, were absolute angels in my mother's life during her time in Dry Harbor. Zyrra the social worker was so sweetly kind and patient whenever I have needed her assistance and when reaching out to me in need of information or to provide me with information. Eva the dietician was always willing to try different foods that may help my mother continue eating as her tastes and appetite changed and diminished as her health declined. I went to the home right after a long day of work and considering my fatigue I always felt relieved to be greeted by the smiling faces of the reception staff. Their kindness was truly welcomed and appreciated. The employees of the business offices were also kind, patient and so helpful when it came to the task of filling out paperwork and securing insurance and such which we all know can be tedious but necessary. So overall my family and I were pleased by the care our mother received at Dry Harbor but personally I would like to address a special thank you to the tenth floor staff as they truly helped to give me peace of mind with the care my mother received in the final days of her life. To Lucy trying to help convince my mother ever so kindly to eat to keep her strength up and making sure she was comfortable and calm. To Janet for answering all of my questions as soon as I stepped off the elevator and always with patience, respect and empathy for my concern for my mother. Also for not hesitating to call the managing nurse whenever either she or I believed my mother needed specific attention or help. To Pauline the miraculous angel who called me the morning my mother passed because using the judgement of her experience and the mutual opinion of Tamara predicted that my mom may not survive that day. Their intuition and professional assessment was correct. I will always be grateful for that phone call in the morning that made it possible for my siblings and I to be with my mother at the moment of her death. That was a precious gift. My mother passed away and even after the staff at Dry Harbor continue to be kind and patient and helpful. Thanks to all the staff members that made the experience a little easier during a difficult time for our family."

"I toured the Dumont Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare. On every floor we were taken to, I didn't see any discrepancies. We were taken to the memory care division. It looked like it was a clean place, so I have no complaints. The staff member who gave the tour was not knowledgeable, but the person they claimed we were supposed to see had something else to do, so they put another person on to take us around. He was OK. If we had another person who normally does it, we'd get more information on him, but it wasn't bad. It was OK. It looked like a clean area. I didn't see anything wrong with the rooms they showed us and that we passed through, but I peeked, and they looked well-kept. They showed us different rooms. They showed us one-on-one, and then we saw two-on-two. I mean two people in a room, and we saw one person in the room. So it was OK."

"Regency Heritage gave my husband tender loving care while he was in this beautiful facility. I am indebted to the staff more specifically to the dedication and kind regards of folk like Evette and others on the first floor. When my husband moved to the second floor we were met with another group of dedicated professionals. The expert professionals in the rehabilitation unit were phenomenal. They brought my husband back from immobility to satisfactory mobility in a shorter period of time than the family even expected. Forever grateful."

"My brother-in-law is now in Sands Point Center for Health and Rehabilitation. Right now, we're very, very happy with them. They show a lot of care. It's a very happy and caring staff. They have a complete monthly activity calendar that they use for anyone interested in joining any one of the activities. They have scrabble because he plays scrabble. It's a full calendar. The place is clean, neat, and well-maintained. They got a full staff all the time. The nursing stations are good; they're always manned. It's worth the money."

"My mom was at Family of Caring Montclair for rehab for a month. I love this place. I just wish they were bigger and that they had more beds available. The place was immaculate. They constantly clean the place. They constantly did things to make Mom feel comfortable. The place was spotless. The nurses were all so caring literally and figuratively. They treated my mom like she was family. They had activities for the residents. They brought people in to do different things with them. But mostly, it was geared towards their therapeutic recovery and occupational therapies. It was very helpful for my mom because she had to get acclimated to walking again. They made sure she always had something on her feet to make sure that she wasn't going to fall. They had nurses come in and check different things. Mom is going through dementia, so they had things in place for dementia care, too. It was just a great all-around spot, and I loved the location and the people there. The biggest thing was the cleanliness and that's important. It didn't matter what time of day or what hour it was that I was there, they always made sure that there was someone cleaning up. Whether it was cleaning the rooms, picking up food trays, making sure the patients were clean, or whatever it was, there was always someone doing that."

"Canterbury in Cedar Grove, New Jersey is a phenomenal nursing home. My grandfather was there for 2 weeks to 1 month. The place is very clean and the lobby is very trendy. The nurses take amazing care of their patients and are very friendly. The nurses were professional but grew to have relationships with their patients. They kept the patients and the facilities safe and clean. One of the perks to the nursing home was the location, it is off a main road and very private. The best part was the events and activates they offered to their patients. They had weekend events that included a Circus Day with petting zoo. The facility really took the time to protect, take care of their patients, and to make sure they had a good time. The physical therapy aspect was very good as well; nurses pushed their patients but not too far. "

"Job Haines Home was a lovely place. When I went there, we were looking at rehabilitation at the time, but I got to tour where the assisted living and long-term residents were, so I was extremely impressed with this location. It's very small. They don't have a lot of beds, but yet I was highly impressed with the overall care of the staff, the overall location, and how things were arranged. I was impressed with the neatness and the cleanliness, and the area where they serve food was spotless. The location where the residents could eat together seemed very accommodating to all the residents. It reminded me of a restaurant-type feel in the most caring way. They're highly engaging of the residents. I'm very impressed with that location. With regard to food, it smelled amazing, and I got to see the kitchen area. It was very clean. I'm very impressed with how things were set up."

"Waterview Center is nice. It's not a bad place to be. The only thing I don't like is on account of this virus they're not letting anybody out of their room. You can't go outside. I just feel confined being in my room. That's the only thing that I don't like, but I know why they're doing it, and I don't have a problem with it. The nurses and aides are all very wonderful. I don't really have a problem with that. It's just that sitting in this room day after day sometimes gets to me. I'm in a single room by myself, which I'm glad of, and it's enough for me for now. I can't complain about that, either. It's like a studio; there is no stove and no refrigerator. I've been depending on them for food. I have a TV, a dresser, a chest of drawers, a bathroom, and a closet. When I came here, they stopped the activities. The only thing that I was told was they had somebody come who played the piano, and if anybody wanted to sing along, they could. I know there were more activities besides that, but they had already stopped before I came here. They have a beauty salon, but they're not cutting anybody's hair now. They have a patio outside where you can sit, but they're not really bringing anybody outside to sit on the patio as far as I know. The staff is wonderful. I can't complain about the staff, either. It's a very nice facility. The building is very pretty on the outside. I'm kind of fussy with the food. There are some foods that I don't like how they make it, but that's not their fault, it's just me. I haven't done any activities aside from physical therapy."
