My mom is staying at Hamilton Manor. She was doing well there. She has made some friends, and she plays bingo. They have activities for the residents, and her roommate is a very nice woman. She was enjoying it until she took a dive. Her oxygen levels went down, and all that. So that's why they sent her to the hospital last week and went back there. It seems very caring there. The office people are magnificent. They're so nice. The social worker there is special. She has to share a room, but she's okay. She's fine. They have a big dining area. They have bands or musicians come and play. They have all kinds of activities on their board. It states what's happening every day, so it's very nice. The staff is great. The facility is very nice, clean, and open, and all the residents look very happy there. It's wonderful.

My husband was a resident here for a short time. We had very few choices when he was released from the hospital. He suffered from vascular dementia. Needless to say, he didn't care about the looks of the facility. As a family, we were happy with what we were seeing. The furnishings looked like they came from the curb. The outside of the building needed painting. The care was less than I would have expected. All in all I was very disappointed with this facility. When we met with the staff they made us feel very uncomfortable. I don't like writing this review, but I feel it is important. None of us wants to place our loved ones in a nursing home. It is unfortunate that we have to make decisions based on a system that seems to be broken.

Three weeks now with mom here after having spent fourteen months at another facility ,we are ever grateful to have transferred her here. The most important thing for our family and mom is that the employees work very much as a team . Call lights are answered promptly . Employees are courteous and there is always someone to approach should your concerns for your loved one need a bit of urgency .. feeling confident mom is in good care ..thankful for the hardworking staff.... Knowing their job is surely not easy ... They have this teamwork set up that works really well. Residents all look well cared for and peaceful ...and not in distress ..

My mom has moved into Hamilton Manor Nursing Home. It's way better than the place she was at, it's ten times better. They've got a call button, people come and check on her, and they're trained in feeding tubes. It's a total opposite of where she was. It's a ten out of ten. I am very pleased with it, and I am more comfortable knowing that she's here and safe. The staff are very well trained. Everyone's been very friendly and helpful since we've been here for a couple of weeks. In terms of value for money, the service I'm getting is more than the cost. They've got pet therapy, and they're bringing in musicians. They said they used to do field trips before COVID, so it's a lot of activities. They have bingo, and I've seen them bowl. The facility is clean.

If you decide to place your love one at Hamilton Manor you should visit them everyday during difference time. They will lie to you about things but you can confront them face to face. It's small so it's easy to find out who does what. The building need updating and they are under staff.

This facility is very outdated. Everything is old and dirty. They have updated and built new offices for the staff but have not updated any areas occupied by the residents. Many of the staff are very kind to the residents but are overworked and understaffed. The activities program has improved but there are still periods of time where residents are left sitting alone in a room in front of a TV. Residents are frequently left unsupervised in common areas. My biggest concerns are the day to day care of my family member and the overall cleanliness of the facility. My family member is often unkempt despite my voiced concerns and being told a plan is in place. There have been multiple safety concerns. Despite being told that things have been taken care of, they are not and continue to recur. If you have a family member here you need to be a strong advocate and keep your eyes open. Other unsanitary conditions observed have been bugs in the dining area crawling on the floor, urine being mopped up with a dry towel, soiled clothing and diapers being left on the floor. There are no "amenities" at this facility. There isn't even a room for family members to visit with their loved one more privately. The food has gone downhill as well.

Hamilton Manor Nursing Home is rundown and older. It doesn't have the same rating as the other places, but the care for the most part is OK. My mother is in a semi-private, which is very small, but she doesn't spend any time in the room, because she has to be watched. The service is slightly below average, and they are way too understaffed. They have plenty to do and they have an excellent activities coordinator; she just can't participate. The food is OK. They should update the facility and have better staffing.

This is a very caring & compassionate home but the decor and facility is extremely outdated. Although my mom was in only for rehab, it was obvious they were trying to keep her. My brother & I were able to bring her home where she is much happier and content.
