"My 93 year old mom has only been there a few days and already I can honestly say that she is getting the best care we could have hoped for from an assisted living facility. The one on one quality and quantity of care she is receiving is beyond our expectations. In addition, meals are home cooked meals, prepared with care using natural and non processed food. Some disadvantages of being in this small facility far outweigh the few advantages of being part of a big but less caring corporate large facility. Brian, Donna and their staff are qualified professionals with the skills we look for to care for our mom."

"Our grandfather stayed there for a few years and he was well cared for. They made him very comfortable and always had activities for him to do. The staff are very friendly and care very much about the residents. The rooms are well kept and many areas have been renovated. Overall this is a great place for elderly family members to stay and feel safe."

"My mother-in-law has moved into The Terraces at Brookmeade. We visited a few others, but we liked this one. It's small, the people are very caring, and it's assisted living, which includes memory care of some sort. We've been very pleased. We also live very close to it, so that was another factor. The food is very good, but they repeat the same thing. Older people don't like to make choices, so they always get what's served and it gets monotonous, but it's still good. The activities are not bad, but not great. They have a bus trip that goes to the supermarket or something. They have a beauty shop. The Baptist Home is the nursing home, which is also right next door and my mother-in-law is receiving physical therapy there. She has a one-bedroom with a little kitchenette, a microwave, and a refrigerator, a fairly large living room, a bedroom, and a very large bathroom with her own walk-in shower, and a huge walk-in closet as well as a large coat closet. She gets personal laundry service once a week and they have regular home-sized laundry so that only her clothes are done in the washing machine and dryer at one time. It's not mixed in, in those humongous machines. She gets trash done at least once a day and vacuuming and basic stuff once a week. If something else is needed, it's taken care of, and they take care of her medication."

"I've moved to Red Hook Commons. They have a movie night, and they have a library that we can go and use. We cook our own food, there are almost 20 apartments here and everyone does for themselves. Some have wheelchairs and some have walkers. The staff is very friendly and nice, they keep up with everything. The foreman is very helpful and he does his job well. One of the residents likes taking care of the flowers and trees around the area so he does that in his spare time. As far as I know, there are only two activities. They have a veterinarian close by, and they allow small dogs here. There's also a library nearby, there's an ice cream place near here, and a grocery store, and it's not too far from the hospital. So it has everything."

"They reached out to me. We stopped in and visited my step daughter last month, a couple of days after I put on for the website to get information about her. I did get a hold of them and was able to go down and see her. Everything went well with the visit. The staff was friendly and accommodating. My step daughter's room was very nice. It was spacious. I believe they take good care of her there. There's nothing more I can ask for. They're doing their job. It seems the residents there are well taken care of and it was a clean facility. "

"Well when I first found out that my friend would now have to be admitted to a nursing home I was very skeptical that would adjust in such a positive way. I visit my friend on a daily basis at different times of the day. On all occasions I have been very impressed with the care and kindness of the staff. I was just there today and they had a wonderful celebration for fat Tuesday with a special dessert and a great singer and the people were having such a great time. You can see the people that work there are very genuine in there feelings for the residents. This is not the first time that I have enjoyed the activities. They have many activities that the residents can take part in every day if they care to, When I ask my friend how she is doing, she says I can't complain.. she's 94 and and been my friend for over 30 years. When I leave her it makes me feel so happy that she's happy and well taken care of. Is it perfect, well when you hit that age and there's a loving smile thats the closest you can get to perfect.
