Set in 75 acres of countryside, Arbor Ridge at Brookmeade is located near the village of Rhinebeck in New York, 18 miles north of Poughkeepsie. Northern Dutchess Hospital is nearby, and Rhinebeck has excellent restaurants and shopping. Arbor Ridge is one of three properties within the Brookmeade community. There are 54 senior independent living apartments with either one or two bedrooms. Spacious apartments are available with private patios or decks, two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The staff focuses on the health and happiness of the residents, providing access to rehabilitation services and everyday assistance, such as daily linen service and a 24-hour concierge. There is an extensive calendar of activities for seniors, including art and exercise classes. Arbor Ridge has an indoor heated swimming pool where water yoga classes are held. Residents can take weekly trips to watch concerts and plays and the facility hosts live music groups every month. Four-course meals prepared by chefs trained at the Culinary Institute are served in the restaurant.
