VillageCare at 46 & Ten

We went to the VillageCare at 46 & Ten. It's very clean. There's a lot of space and there are a lot of workers there for the residents. They have meal plans as well, which is good. I didn't have any dislikes. I didn't get to meet too many staff face to face. It was just more like a tour, but I saw people around that were supportive. There was a physical therapy kind of center for much older people. They have a patio and a common room for different common activities and stuff like that.

My mother lives here and it totally changed both our lives. The facilities are great with a beautiful roof deck and library. The staff are professional, generous, kind and extremely conscientious. There is a weekly concert and daily events. It has made my mother's old age magnificent and taken a lot of worry off my shoulders. I can't say enough good things about the dignity and trustworthiness of Village Care. Everyone should be so lucky.

I had the opportunity to view this facility when I accompanied one of my residents who wanted to transfer there. The building is tucked into a block on Manhattan's West Side not far from the theater district and assorted ethnic restaurants and stores. The staff are professional and warm at the same time, making you feel welcome and well cared for. The facility itself is a small building but filled with all the amenities you could want - an outside garden, attractive dining room, home like rooms, activity rooms, computers. Residents looked happy, healthy and well cared for.
