The staff was helpful, considerate and informative. The rooms were spacious and clean. My aunt said the food was good and always enough for her to eat. Administration called you back whenever you left a message. Everyone was very helpful

I was at Norwegian Christian Home & Health Center last year. I was very happy there. Very nice place, and very, very caring staff. They provide physical therapy, and it's good and adequate. I liked the food, they were nutritious, but they weren't appealing. I was in a shared room. It's very clean, very comfortable. The staff was responsive to my needs. Beautiful outdoor area. There was a garden, a gazebo, and a pond. It was lovely. It's well-maintained. There's a gym for physical therapy. If you needed to go, you could pay for a van to come and get you in a wheelchair.

I am a daughter of a current resident - my mom. I think that her room is very nice and I feel like she's happy in assisted living. The staff is very caring and helpful and they are easy to interact with. They have plenty of things for the residents to do and a beautiful safe garden where they can sit and enjoy themselves. Every once in a while they are understaffed but that is expected at times as people call in sick, etc. Overall I feel comfortable with my mom being there and I feel she is being treated well. I would recommend the Assisted Living facilities.

Norwegian Christian Home & Health Center is very nice. It's like a home and had a very warm atmosphere. The people, the tour person was very nice and the staff was nice. It was a nice facility, they had a garden that people go out into. They also had activities somewhat limited due to Covid, but the people seemed happy. And in assisted living, they had the freedom to move around so we also liked it. The person who assisted me was helpful, friendly, answered my questions, was happy to show us around, and gave us good information. The facility wasn't as modernized as the other one we toured, but it was clean.

I will start off by saying that there are some good people who work at this facility and they actually try on their own and they want things to get better but sadly there is NOTHING any of these people can do on their own to accomplish this. Let me say that we could not get my father out of this facility fast enough and my father and family were beyond relieved once we did get him out of Norwegian Christian Home and Health Center .My Dad was very alert and very aware of his surroundings ,mentally he was very sharp but physically he had issues. He had 2 very bad shoulders and almost no arm strength so he had very limited use of his arms and hands ,I Thank god he was able to dial his cell phone to call me so that he could make our family aware of what was going on , as I can only imagine what happens in this place to people who cannot speak or who do not have family to speak up for them ? Our dad was legally blind so he needed help with each meal as he had an incredibly difficult time feeding himself , which BTW he had to do with each meal because this place is so under staffed especially on weekends that no one would help feed him, FYI they have one aid or nurse taking care of 35 patients on weekends = fact But they will swear to you that this is not the case and that they are not understaffed as I was told this many times. Although my dad originally was admitted with wounds on his feet he also had developed bed wounds / sores on his tailbone and back and while at this facility those only got worse. I made countless calls to the nursing station as I Now know the number by heart and I went thru all the proper channels from calling the nursing station to social worker to nursing administrator to administrative secretary to administration themselves ,an administrator BTW who still to this day has never returned my call. The one day that I showed up at the front desk and asked to see him ,I was told he was in a meeting all day and again “ someone will get back to you “ so for that I say thanks again Tony I hope you enjoy this glowing review of your place. I could write a book on this place and my Dad was only in Norwegian for 2 weeks but sadly it was 2 weeks too long .Dad had to feed himself and he sat in feces ,on most days for hours at a time and especially on weekends, ask me about his Father’s Day last year where he spent hours ( not an exaggeration) on a bed pan or ask me about the days when he literally laid in crap for hours despite ringing for a nurse or how my phone calls to the nursing station went ignored. The worst part about all of this is due to Covid my family and I were not allowed to go in and visit our dad and take care of these things ourselves or we would have done so in a heartbeat and we would have held the staff accountable face to face rather than by useless phone conversations. Maybe if Tony had returned my phone call or if one of the many promises by his staff of “ I am so sorry that this has happened and it will not happen again “ had not been broken I would not of taken the time to write such a lovely review on this page. In a nutshell if you are considering this place for a loved one or family member, it is a HUGE mistake and try somewhere , ANYWHERE else as if I could have given this place zero stars I would have. Let me close with this , In a perfect world the administration of this place who never returned my calls should IMO Before their life is over have to spend a few days in a place such as this and endure what my dad and my family experienced,,,we can only hope that Karma is a real thing.

It has been one year since my aunt was in the rehab facility. It has taken an entire year to heal the bed wounds she received in this place. She was left on her back a good part of the day and not given the rehab attention required. Once I removed her from this place she improved greatly. Look I know these people are over worked and you could see some we’re doing their best. If this facility can not meet the needs of their residents, they should hire more help or take on less residents. The only good thing about this place was that it was very clean.

My sister seems happy at Norwegian Christian Home & Health Center. They're very courteous, but they could use more help or more healthcare aides. They seemed a little bit shorthanded. Other than that, everything else seems very nice. They give them plenty of food, and it's very good. The dietitian is very good. They had the food chopped when she needed it chopped and pureed it when it needed to be pureed. They're very accommodating when it comes to my suggestions.

I went to Norwegian Christian Home, and my girlfriend tells me that they're very caring and attend to their residents. It was very immaculate and the staff was unbelievable. I saw the administration who was in charge, she took me through the tour, she was awesome, and explained everything to me. Once the application is all filled and I have all the paperwork, I'll go to her to set up the appointment. She's been very helpful.

Norwegian Christian Home and Health Center was very nice and very clean. We were very impressed by it. The staff and the rooms seemed to be very nice. We’ve heard from other people that had used them, and they were very satisfied with them. Location is a little far away from where my mother is now.

Norwegian Christian Home and Health Center felt more like an old-fashioned type of nursing home, and it wasn’t really accessible. They had a beautiful courtyard with a beautiful pond, but it didn’t seem to be very well utilized. The rooms were almost like hospital rooms. They were larger rooms but not very well appointed. They had a little café area that was nice and pleasant. There were people eating there; they could get snacks, too, which was really nice. I think the staff had a good deal of longevity there. Most of the staff had been working there for easily 20 to 30 years.

My family was extremely lucky to have been given a room at this facilty for my mother. We did not realize until she was in, how much her AD had progressed. At home, she was able to function better because she was familiar with her surroundings. The administration and staff of Norwegian were always there for us. The only thing I wish that was told to me personally was how the end of AD can be so brutal. Also, I believe there should be more facilities that cater to the middle stages of AD.

The staff are okay; they are not very attentive of the residents. They can be rough with them and withhold residents' possessions, like glasses or hearing aids. The living conditions are acceptable and clean.

Wonderful and clean facility. Very nice people. My mother-in-law started out at the Assisted Living Facility because she needed people around her all day and more care. Unfortunately, family worked and therefore, we had to put her in this Assisted Living Facility. She did well for a while and then she needed even more care because she said she couldn't do certain things, etc....we then eventually got her into the Nursing Home section of same facility. The only negative was that within the first week, the Aide either forgot or neglected to put the bars up on my mother-in-law's bed and she wound up falling out of bedand breaking her hip which required surgery. Additionally, she has not walked since and was afraid to do so following this incident. She is still in the Norwegian Christian Home and and we consider it a terrible accident and something that cannot be undone. She is getting good care and doing relatively well considering her age. Our family WOULD recommend this Facility.

There are many reasons why I rated this place only 3 stars instead of 5. Most of the staff was nice while others were very lazy and did not want to do anything, but for the most part they were decent. Her room was kept nice but I always had to remind rhe aids to change my aunts bed. There were not many ameneties and the food was horrible.I always had to bring food. Five times they gave her the wrong medicine, which was why I transfered her out from there to another nursing home which I think is much better and my aunt enjoys it better there.
