For other families to know: The size of the room is OK, not too big not too small. 2 people sharing a room. Some drawers do not close well, TV in a rooms are antique the one that still have a back and no remote control. Tray tables are sticky to the touch. Good view of the ocean if that is important to you in a nursing home. Nurses assistants staff is nice for the most part. A lot of the nurses including some head nurses like Ms. Johnson and Ms. Tatiana are clueless, know-it-all, rude, self absorbed, full of superiority complex workers that constantly trying to bring you down by their comments, instructions and lots of attitude. I would not leave my loved one alone in a place like Haym Salomon. I heard there are worse places than this one, but honestly I would look for a better one.

I am glad that I choose this facility for my mom. An excellent facility that meets your every need in a professional manner. The staff is good, attentive, and making you feel like a family. I would highly recommend this place.

Rehab and nursing staff are top notch, especially OT Anna D, words can't describe how much I appreciate how she worked with my mother and got her back on her feet, she is my Angel. She is so sweet and truly loves her job and all of the residents and it shows, she has a heart of gold. MJ, Anabell and Michael -PT were fantastic. This was our second time here and both times extremely positive and fabulous experiences. Thank you to all!

I couldn’t express my gratitude to this facility. This facility has made my father’s remaining days comfortable and happy. My father suffered from stage 4 cancer and the family decided that it’s best for him to stay at a hospice to live out the remaining days of his life in comfort. The facility did not only do a great job in managing my father’s pain but also provided him with emotional support. The medical specialists even included us when it came to his supportive care. Three months after he was admitted here, he died in his sleep. The facility has given us a lot of help especially when it comes to accepting the situation. And this personal approach is something that you don’t often find in other care facilities.

My aunt is presently at H. Solomon NH (6th floor). I wish I could find anything good to describe the facility or the staff working there. This place promises more than it delivers. It is making high profit on the back of the residents who get fewer and more terrible services. The staff spends most of the time to get proper documentation so that the facility can get payed from the insurance. Attendants are not available when attention is really needed -called to try to get some help for my aunt who in need of medical attention. Ringing the bell for help gets you almost nowhere- takes a long time (hours) until someone comes. Try to complain - everyone becomes very defensive. The staff is exceptionally terrible, poorly trained. The quality of care is substandard. Complete lack of professionalism! They are completely incompetent, uncaring, unqualified, and extremely rude as if they are forced to work against their will. I don't trust them when my relative is alone, my sister and I hired privately an aid. My disabled aunt’s condition got much worse, she became weaker. She was treated very poorly. This place is awful. Do not place your loved one at this facility!!! The Administration (including social worker) only cares about one thing -> keep the patient longer to get more insurance money. After my aunt is discharged, I will file a formal complaint with H.Solomon’s management and the Department of Health. Please, if you care about your loved one, avoid this torturous place. .

I really enjoyed my stay at Haym Salomon, even if it was short term to recover from heart surgery. Haym Salomon gives "excellent health care" a whole new meaning. All of the staff here are friendly and helpful, just like being with your own family. When in the future I might need rehab or skilled nursing, Haym Salomon will be my first choice. I would absolutely recommend Haym to anyone needing rehabilitation or long term nursing care.

My dad was at the hospital and he needed to go to the nursing home. There are not a lot of places to choose from in Brooklyn. I liked that it was nice and clean. There was no odor when you walk in. In addition, the staff is very welcoming and friendly. They're very good and caring with the residents. They have a lot of activities going on all the time. They do crafts and Bingo and people of all religions come in for services. When there's a holiday such as Father's Day or Mother's Day, they get stuff for the occasion. They have a big thing for the 4th of July, too. Out of what we have to go by here, I would recommend it to someone.

I’ve had nothing but a pleasant experience here. The staff in general is very nice and professional. There’s always a bad apple but any issue that came up was taken care of and dealt with immediately. There are 2 people in particular that you should get to know- David the assistant administrator and Jordin one of the CNA’s if she’s still there. Made my transition here very smooth. I’ll miss them and the others!

My mother was in Haym Solomon which is in Brooklyn, and I liked it. They were also good, and the upkeep of the facility was great. The workers were accommodating, my mother was happy with the facility, and that one was also a great one. The rooms, sanitation, and the location are good. It’s in a nice neighborhood -- definitely a very good neighborhood.
