My parents are at San Martin Senior Living. It's a 24/7 care place for the elderly. I enjoy the fact that they have a nice community within the community. The fact that we have a very cultural Filipino background, and a good number of Filipinos are represented in that community, helped out a lot for my parents. It's not to say anything about the other ethnicities or the other races, it's more of a cultural thing where we're used to certain things when it comes to our background. With that being said, it was more comfortable knowing full well that they understood it because they were Filipino. The concepts behind that are more cultural than anything. It has nothing to do with their performance level, although the performance level is up to par, no worries about that as well. We were more seeking out the cultural aspect of the senior living. As for activities, they were singing karaoke, they were doing poker night, and they took them out to some of the locations around here. Their room is ample and comfortable.

Management is disorganized and does not communicate well with their staff. Constant change in supervision and management is occurring. Security at night Is almost nonexistent. Activities are rare. Understaffed yet those unstaffed try very hard. This is an impossible situation that appears not to be resolvable

My mother has been here for more than 6 months now. It is a very good place. I like the staff. They're friendly, nice, and supportive. They help my mom a lot and she's happy there. The place is nice. They have elevators and stairs for the more active residents. They bathe her. They take her to breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They wash her clothes, brush her hair, help her in and out of bed, help her in and out of her chair, and help her to the bathroom.

I chose to move here because they had a one-bedroom on the first floor available when I needed it. The price was also a little less than some that I had been looking at. The service in the dining area is just very slow and the experience with the housekeeping has not been very good at all. They had things scheduled, but they never happened. However, I've just been here a few days.

It was great. It was a beautiful building, and it's in a very nice, quiet area. Even though it's next to a hospital, it's still very quiet. I visited three times. Two times to tour, and one time just to double-check something. Cheryl was the person who toured with us and she was lovely. She just showed us everything. I felt comfortable talking to her, so she had some idea of what my mother would need. I gave her some idea of my mother's personality to see if that would be a good fit there. She showed us several different options for living, from the low end to the high end. As far as affordability, it was nice to see the different options. The place had tons of amenities. It's perfect for senior living. It's beautifully landscaped. I loved the design of the place. It lends itself to being social. If somebody is lonely in this place, it's their choice because there's just so much to do and to see and lots of people around. We went during the holiday, so it was decorated beautifully for Christmas. It's very festive and just a really pretty place. My husband and I were joking and we said when we get to this time in our lives, we wouldn't mind going there ourselves. I didn't taste the food, but it looked nice. What I liked about it was the fact that the kitchen staff was willing to work with the residents. I liked the fact that the residents were given options just like a restaurant. If you were craving something special and you didn't see it on the menu, the kitchen (from what I was told) would do what they could to make sure that you got what you wanted. Whatever you were wanting, they would try to make it for you. The women were dressed, walking around, and had a little bit of makeup. They weren't sitting in a wheelchair with their head held down with no makeup, no hair done, and just existing. Even though they were using walkers, maybe even wheelchairs, everybody seemed very happy and active. It was a little bit more social. There's a little bit more chatter going on. Not everybody was sitting alone. They had tables with people sitting together. It was nice, but it was pricy and that was a dealbreaker.

My mom is here. They have a lot of med techs and caregivers there. They're very attentive. Their meal plan is good. They offer several different options with each meal so my mom can choose what she wants. There's always someone there. They have a lot of caregivers per resident. It's clean. They provide entertainment for them. They have activities for them. Sometimes they take them on bus trips around the city. I was just impressed with their attentiveness. However, their housekeeping needs a little help. My mom is in the memory care. I have not personally eaten their food, but I've been there when they serve her meals, and it looks very good. They have different selections every day and they always offer her soup. There's always soup every day if she chooses not to have anything else, which unfortunately she does a lot now. They do bingo, they play cards, they have sing-a-longs, they do exercises, and they have a bowling set that they set up for them. They seem to provide a lot of activities for them. They have a nice courtyard outside, too.

We were very impressed. It was very clean. They had a lot of amenities and the rooms looked great. I just really liked it. The person that was supposed to give the tour wasn't there, so one of the ladies took us around. She was really good, but she couldn't give us any technical information. All she did was show us the facility. That's all she could do, but she was great. She told us one thing that we did not know about respite care though, that we could bring my mother-in-law there to stay for a week/two weeks and see what the facility is like. I would like to go back there and talk to somebody, because I think my mother-in-law would like it. I also liked the dining facility. The way that they made it look like you were at a restaurant and you were out eating. They have a menu that they can choose from. So, that was kind of good.

If you were a person who was totally independent, it might be a good venue for a person to live. However, if you require any care whatsoever, they are lacking sorely. They make promises that they can't deliver consistently. For example, checking on people that need to be checked on regularly every two hours, even though they say they're going to, they do not. I personally found my mom in very difficult situations where she'd been on the floor Lord knows how long, and I would have to go and find staff to help me. I do not recommend them for anybody who needs care. As far as socialization, if you are totally independent, it's probably a very fun place. They have activities and they have an open kind of happy hour on Friday nights. Their food is mediocre. As far as my mom, it was absolutely the wrong place for her and I was horribly disappointed in the care that was given to her, which is why I pulled her out. They had activities but my mom did not participate. If you need care, I do not recommend them at all.

It was incredible, and I wish my parents were open to moving there. It was wonderful. It would have been a beautiful place for my mother to stay and live out her life after my father passes, but they did not want to move out of their home yet. The staff was great. Shannon, who showed us around, was friendly. I would live in there if I could. The apartments were nice and some of the ones we've visited were not so nice with the painting and the carpeting and stuff, but this one was very, very nice. The carpeting was nice, the painting, the cabinets, and all of the interior look of the apartments and the layout were really nice. The dining room was beautiful. The place was clean. They had a beauty salon, movie room, they do games, and they have puzzles sitting out that people just come over and participate in for as long as they want. It was a beautiful place. The hospital was right across the parking lot. For me that was a great location. It had lots of things around it.

My parents just moved into this facility yesterday so I can't say much yet but what I do know is from the woman who helped us get into the place Jackie to the caring sweetest medtech Anna, even Daryl and Vicky helping the residents with the day to day , minute to minute needs, heck even the woman greeting you at the door Nancy is a doll. I feel like my parents will get the care they need here because there are very caring people running it. If anything changes I will let you know But I have a feeling I will just be writing better and better updates.

The facility and rooms are really nice. The most spacious 1 bedroom apartments in the Las Vegas valley. The staff who has day to day interface with the residents that I came into contact with where extremely nice and helpful. My sister moved into this facility July 31, 2020 and unfortunately passed away on August 30, 2020 so she did not enjoy any of the activities they offered during the pandemic. She did have her meals mostly in the dining room though and would rate the food as average to good. We had a rocky beginning to her stay as I had to insist many times that she be taken (she used a walker and wheelchair) to the dining room for meals. For some reason, they initially took her meals to her apartment even though she tested negative for Covid-19 before taking up residence. Even after a discussion with staff that she should go to the dining room, she had one or two meals still in her room. She was also under hospice care while there and a hospice aide and nurse visited her a few times a week. On at least one occasion, I was notified by the hospice aide that she still had her clothes on from the day before (my sister also suffered from the very beginnings of dementia) so it appeared that no one helped her get ready for bed nor changed her clothes. I am not sure what her level of care would have been had she not had vocal advocates. There was a significant staff turnover that occurred there during July and August. The new executive director had just started and they had to hire a new maintenance person and a new business person. So some of the turmoil I experienced could have been the result of this staff turnover. In addition, mistakes were made in the initial payment calculation which took until mid October to finally resolve. Again this could be because of a new financial person and lack of financial processes. My interface with the executive director and business office was very pleasant but should have been avoided by better business practices and follow up by management.

My husband is in here. He's well taken care of there. They helped us move the furniture into the room, and we saw everything. They were extremely helpful and friendly, and they bring in things that he wants. Everything is perfectly fine and we're extremely happy. Under normal circumstance, they have a gym, games, entertainment, and a snack bar. It's a very nice place. It's a little pricy, but they do everything for me and the only thing I have to do is make the doctors' appointment, they take him, and they pick him up.

Staff is great, meals that are included in the cost of living here are poor, sometimes cold and service is slow. Sometimes an hour before placing or getting your meal. I am actively searching for alternative locations to move her.

This place is awful. I am a very diligent daughter of an elderly father who cannot move on his own or speak due to a stroke. I was fooled by the beautiful facilities but after poor care, VERY rude management and my father being injured in suspicious ways, I pulled him out.

My dad moved in, and so far, it's very good. He has physical therapy three times a week, they have socials, card games, movie theaters, and he loves the dining facilities. They serve three meals, but they have an open kitchen for sandwiches and salads. They have a nursing staff, and they deliver his prescriptions to his room if he needs them. They've been very good.

It is brand new, gorgeous, and beautiful with no hang-ups or issues. We didn't choose it because of the price and didn't have a swimming pool. The sales staff was very knowledgeable and friendly.

I lived here, but the rent had gotten out of line, so I moved on. When I went back this time, I saw a number of improvements, like renovations to the rooms. The staff was very friendly, quite responsive, and nice. They knew me, and I had a really nice, warm feeling there. They play bingo and a lot of cards. They’re painting and cleaning all the time. It’s a good-quality place. It would have been my first choice, but it was a little too expensive for me.

We went to visit, and we were seated in this comfy and cozy area. It had very pleasant furnishing, and it was very nicely decorated. It was very pricey, but I'm sure it was well worth the price because it was very ritzy.

Dad moved in 2 weeks ago. It’s the one he picked out of the ones we went to -- the one he felt most comfortable with. We like the employees, and the people there seem to be very pleased with the lifestyle provided. The food is adequate. The rooms are comparable to the market.

It was like a 5-star hotel and absolutely beautiful. It was apartment-style living with large and spacious rooms. It had a full restaurant with not only buffet but restaurant-style eating as well. It was really very nice. The staff was wonderful and very friendly.

Robert moved into here about a month ago. I like their waiters, and he likes the food. It was gourmet type, but it costs less than the others. The rooms were a lot larger, and they have a movie theater room, an exercise room, and a spa.

It was really nice and very beautiful with nice, high ceilings, and it was nicely furnished. The rooms, the people, and the dining room were very nice. They even had a salad bar that you could go to and choose whatever you wanted to eat. The staff was very nice. It was a very nice facility. They had independent and assisted living. You don't feel any claustrophobia in there. It was very spacious and attractively done up.

It seemed nice, but there's no way I can afford it. The lady that showed me around had started just that week, so she didn't know too much. But she did know the price, and it starts out at over $3,000, and I can't afford $3,000 a month. They showed us around the different things they had there, and I know they had church services and movies.

The staff at was very professional and caring, but not pushy, which was important to my boyfriend. We talked to about four of the residents, and we were quite surprised at how open they were about the things that they really enjoyed there. Everybody had wonderful things to say about the staff and the facility. They had a lot of amenities, like a gym, planned trips around the area, connections to cruises, and bus trips. They offer a lot of different classes, not just in physical therapy, like craft classes and other things that might interest elderly seniors. The only drawback we found is that they do not have covered parking. As a whole, I thought it was a wonderful facility.

My mother has been living in here for the last month, and it has been pretty rocky. She went there twice directly from rehab. She was about three weeks out from a significant stroke, and I feel that she was not as medically stable as they are used to receiving at that facility. I was over there all the time, and within eight days of her being there, she had another stroke. She was quite sleepy, and they did check on her frequently, but the fact that she just wanted to sleep all the time went rather undetected, and she got very dehydrated and that contributed to the next stroke. There was also some confusion around her medication administration. She was not medically stable enough that their system could respond to the quick changes in her medication regime. We were not going to give her a blood thinner dose for the day until we had the home health nurse come and check her INR. The nurse came, we got the reading, and as I went to find the nurse and tell her what the result was and what the doctor wanted them to do with her medication, my mother went to the dining room to have dinner, and they gave her the evening dose of blood thinner. The doctor had faxed over orders to hold the blood thinner and not give her any for that day because her blood was too thin. So, the system wasn't talking to each other in a timely enough fashion to prevent something like that from happening. A resident should probably be pretty rock solid stable medically before going into this kind of living environment. I feel like I was overpromised. The rooms are very nice, and the bathrooms are gorgeous. The facility itself is beautiful. It really does entice you to put your loved one there. The residents all appear immaculately cared for -- the ones that are out and about. Everyone is well dressed and clean, and it is a cheerful place. The residents seem to be real happy there. There are loads of activities -- movies, trivia, bingo, book club, card games, church services, a beauty salon on the premises, they had a lady that comes once a month and sings, a lot of musical activities, and shopping trips to Wal-Mart or to the drugstore. The quality of the food is very nice to even exceptional, but they're a little lax on their abilities to provide medical diets. The longer we've been there, the more I'm pretty convinced that she is not getting a low sodium diet, and that's something that I have to address. Also, there was a little bit of overpromise on the food availability. When my mom had her second stroke here, the medication tech had come to give her her morning dose of medication and as my mother sat up to take her medicine, she was struck with intense vertigo. Instead of the medication tech immediately calling a nurse to come and evaluate her, she said she'll come back later and give her her medicine. Two hours later, she came back. My mother was too out of it to even hit a call button for help. I went over, I assessed her, and I called 911 for her to go to the emergency room.

I am living now here. It is clean with beautiful windows, which I need for my birds, and my birds are my children. The staff is very nice. The people here are very nice. The food goes up and down. Sometimes it is really good and sometimes it is not good, but then, you have a menu that you can pick-up and you don't have to stick to what they are giving you. We have transportation that takes us to doctor's appointments, Mondays to Wednesdays. Thursdays to Sundays, they take us on trips to stores, casino, park, you know, they take us all over. They have a lot of activities here. I have been here for two and a half years here, and it will be three years in January. I love this, but right now we are having problem with the food going up and down and we just gonna have to see about that. I guess it has a certain supplier that they buy from, and it is tweaking getting the proper food here. We pay a lot of money and we expect to have decent food. They are working on trying to get the proper food in here.

This community was smaller, a little older, but more comfortable and more homey. Everybody is friendly. Everybody knew everybody's name. All the people and residents are helped in whatever they needed. There was a junior suite that's very nice that has a bedroom, a little sitting room, kitchenette and bathroom. It's very comfortable. They have bingo. They have a little library, a room dedicated to movies and a place to do hair and nails. The dining room is quite adequate for a fair number of people. Very nicely setup. They have a hot table and they make it into a buffet for salads. They have a pretty good menu when I looked at it. It looked clean. There are people working all the time making sure it's clean. It's so much better than all the others. There's a very large patio in the back just off the dining room. If they'd had it covered, it would be probably an improvement but that would be a big task.

In my opinion, this community was the best facility in the city. It had nice large rooms. It had the best dining room with the best menu. The food was the best I had tasted. The only thing that I didn't like was that they didn't have the room that I described where I could bake. But they had everything else and that was perfect. The staff was very nice. I couldn't find any better staff than them. I liked the architectural design of the place. I would definitely recommend this place.

My husband is here and I'm very satisfied with it. I like the way the facility was set up. He shares a room with someone but it is set up in such a fashion that there is like a stairstep partition between the two and it's plenty big. There is also a private bathroom, so you don't need to go down the hall to go to the bathroom or for a shower. He has his own TV, recliner and closet. We thought at first we were going to go to a private room, but it went out just fine. Besides that, it looks very homey. Their staff have a very caring attitude and disposition and for residents with Alzheimer's, that's not easy. I like the people first of all.
