I toured The Brant at Gretna. It was beautiful. I would have gone there had it been closer. It's not that far. It's just off the beaten path, the way my kids go. I did have food there, and the food was very good. It has a meal plan similar to the other facility, where you're allowed so much towards meals every month with your rent. And then, if you have more, you pay for some. You can get two meals a day. They had a washer and dryer and a smaller kitchen, not as big, which was fine with me because that's part of my problem. I'm tired of cooking, but the apartments were about the same. The person who took me around was good. She called back about a week later and wanted to know if I wanted to come and see it again. She was very good at her job.

I was really disappointed with our visit to this apartment community. The apartment seems small for the price, and there were very few extra amenities or activities. We also checked out the food, and it felt pretty basic for what they were charging. While we were there, we overheard some residents, expressing concerns about the food quality and the portion size. One major issue was that the elevator wasn’t working during our visit, which race concerns for my friends, family, as they have loved ones in a wheelchair. This made me worried about the accessibility and whether it would be ongoing problem. Overall, the place felt disorganized and didn’t seem to provide the care and attention. I was hoping for. I’m really concerned about my friends left ones being comfortable and taking care of here.

We toured The Brant at Gretna. It's beautiful. They offer everything. They have a wonderful place and the price was right. Everything about it was right. We just chose the other one. The staff, I thought, was great. We didn't spend a lot of time. We didn't have a meal. They were kind. They were very well educated about the building and that sort of thing. The rooms were beautiful and had a large kitchen area, a laundry, and a nice big bar, so you didn't have to bring a table and everything. I thought the bedroom and the living room were a little small for what we desired.
