I toured Lofts on Rose. I like the staff, living facilities, and community area. That part was nice. It wasn't as roomy as the other one, but there was enough room to move around. It looked very clean. I didn't see anything out of place. Everything was where it was supposed to be. Even the residents looked clean as well.

I went to Lofts on Rose for my 12 p.m. appointment. The lady gave me a tour, and I was very happy with how great the apartment looked. I'm like, "Oh, wow." As the tour ended, I asked to sit down while I waited for my ride, and I overheard the staff mocking me and making fun of me to a coworker about how I responded to the apartment I had seen. She said it was so funny. I'm like, 'Is this the type of person working for them? You're making fun of potential residents?' They are so unprofessional, and that really hurt my feelings. When I first arrived, one of the residents bused me in, and I walked straight through to the leasing office. I introduced myself, and that's when they told me they were going to rent out the last apartment on Friday. They showed me a medium-sized kitchen with a huge pantry. Right across from there was a refrigerator and a stove, and a nice-sized living room set. Right next to that, there was a full-size washer and dryer, side by side, and right next to the laundry facility was the bathroom. It had a shower with the rails for holding on. It was quite nice. We went to the bedroom, and the closet was very nice. It has a carpet in both bedrooms. The walk-in closet and the master bedroom were nice. The second bedroom also had a smaller closet. It had a total of about three to four windows in the whole apartment. The exercise room was nice but very small. We went to the community room, where you can have your coffee or tea and socialize. It was nice, and you can relax away from the fireplace. There was carpet all in the hallway, and there were three exits to go out of.

What we liked about Lofts on Rose - 55+ Apartment was the people in the building. It was a nice mix of races and income levels. We felt comfortable with the people that we ran into. The person who gave us a tour was fantastic. He gave us a thorough tour, and we saw many apartments. We were just a little concerned about the area. We looked into all that stuff, kind of rightly so, and apparently, there's been an uptick in crime in that area. So, we kind of just put the brakes on that and said we'd keep looking, but they were very nice, and the people were great. The amenities were what you would want. They offer meals, but we're not interested in that. They had the usual layout of exercise, library, craft room, and stuff. Then they had many sitting areas that were all easily accessible. It's quite nice. Unfortunately, it's built into the side of a hill so that part of the first floor is underground. That was kind of a non-saleable item for us. We didn't want an apartment that looked out onto a retaining wall, and some of them do. So, we were just kind of like, "Oh, that's maybe not exactly where we want to go." They were working hard to get their stuff together, but it's also a fairly new building. One of the other concerns I had was that in that building, they were requiring that exhaust fans be left on because they're trying to dry out something. That tells me that the way that they built it wasn't quite right, or else they wouldn't be doing that. They had all the exhaust fans in the bathrooms on some kind of a hookup so that they could control them, and then they would come on and off frequently. I didn't like that. It worried me about the construction. They've got some talented people doing sales in these buildings, and they're really good with small talk. They are good at understanding what you need, and they're good at giving you the information you want. That's what the person did there, in a very pleasant way. The facility was also very clean.

We saw Lofts on Rose. What I like least is the area. We're familiar with that area, and it is not safe. We saw a one-bedroom, that was very small, but the two-bedroom was a little bit bigger for a living room and a kitchen area. We liked it better. It had a washer and dryer in the unit, which is a must. Lofts on Rose didn't have a lot else to offer other than the apartments to live in. There wasn't anything offered. They had a room with a table for gatherings, meetings, or something. The staff members were great; they were very good. They don't offer food, though. The building was nice. It was good. It was new. It was quiet, and that's about it.

The tour I had at Lofts on Rose went good. The person who did the tour was quite nice. I didn't see too many other residents around at the time. There were a few people outside, but I didn't know if they lived there or not. The upkeep was good. They were pretty good-sized rooms. They have a gym on the top floor. I was mainly looking for a place that was comfortable and convenient, but the two-and-a-half-hour drive down and two-and-a-half-hour drive back home wore me out.

I visited Lofts on Rose's independent living. Everybody whom I talked to and dealt with was extremely nice, but I know my daughter would freak out if I lived in that neighborhood because it's in a bad one. That was the main problem. It's also a little bit smaller than the other place I visited, but it was still a brand-new and nice facility. It was well-made and well-staffed. They also had a little library. It was just a room where you'd be able to sit and read with a few books.
