"I was very impressed with Morningside of Bellgrade. I did not get the dimensions of their rooms or anything. I haven’t really looked at it. The whole place was absolutely gorgeous, and I was very impressed with the accommodations and everything. The only thing I didn’t like was the woman that I talked to. She was very snobbish, and that’s the only thing I didn’t like about Bellgrade, but that would never stop me from not going there. When the time comes, I will then figure out money-wise and everything else. I liked the location. "

We were impressed by the physical appearance and cleanliness of the facility and all it has to offer residents. More importantly was our positive impression of the staff. Everyone was pleasant, friendly, and greeted us with a smile and welcomed us. We like the family culture that is evident there. We believe this facility will be a good fit for our family member."

"My mother was in the assisted living of Spring Arbor Cottage of Salisbury and just transferred to memory care. So far, they're very professional. They matched everything we were looking for. They've got an in-house physician and a pharmacy. They've got activity coordinators and cleaning people. They have well-stocked cafeterias and kitchens, and they do great meals. So far, we've been very pleased with the service that we receive from them. I have tried the food. It's very good. It's more like a dining room, not really a cafeteria. They actually bring the food just like they would at a restaurant. We've been very pleased. There's nothing that they haven't been able to handle at this point in time. They've been really good. The staff is excellentL the nurses, the aides, the administration, and the health department. They are all very, very good. The activities are fine. They have them all day long every day. I think any family would be very, very satisfied with this facility."

"I went to Spring Arbor of Salisbury. It was clean, and it was very nice. It's a little bit older than the other place we visited, but it's not dated. The dining room seemed to be nice. It was just priced a little higher. The staff was very friendly. There were lots of things for them to do. The staff was very pleasant. They gave us a muffin to go and it was very good."

"We toured Brookdale Midlothian. We liked it. Once you got in there and the tour started, it was great. We are looking for a smaller place because we've now toured two larger places and we've realized that my mother-in-law probably couldn't navigate the larger places very well. She gets tired easily. She's 90, so even using a walker, she gets tired. We like the fact that it was smaller, so she wouldn't have to go very far from her room to the activity area to the dining area. The people seemed very friendly. I liked the rooms. I think it's amusing, but my mother-in-law wouldn't think it's amusing. The empty rooms are named after famous people, so I thought that was an amusing touch. That would appeal to everybody, I'm sure. They had some music, but not as much as she would like because she'd be perfectly happy if somebody was playing the piano for like 12 hours a day. They have a garden area. I remember some books, but I wouldn't call it a library. We met the maintenance guy because nobody was ready to meet us at our scheduled appointment time. The other thing is, though, they've never called us back and given us rates. My wife specifically asked for that and we never got that. Their follow-up is a little iffy. The lady was very nice, she did call back, but then she never called back again to give my wife rates. So, it's a little strange."

"The people were friendly when I visited. They spoke to all the residents. The facility looked nice and clean. This one had an outside yard that residents could go and sit outside, and that would be important to my dad when the weather gets better. They had planned activities also. Overall, I was impressed with it."

"My mom has been in Commonwealth Assisted Living at the West End for 2 years now. It is a very clean and very nice. The people are very good and caring. She has a private room, and it has a good amount of space. She was able to take some her stuff with her. The food is very good. It is personalized and very well done. "

"We chose The Harmony Collection at Hanover for my parents because they have both independent living and assisted living. We are also very pleased with the staff and the apartment they moved into. It just seemed like a good fit. Luckily, up until this point, they've been very happy. They are there under independent living care. The place is large, very spacious, and probably the nicest apartment of all the ones we had the chance to look at. One meal a day is included. My parents usually have dinner, and they're very happy with the food. I have tried it, too, and it was very good. They have activities daily, and my mother has been able to partake in some of those activities. My father doesn't have quite the ability, but he has participated as well. They have happy hours twice a week, and they have additional celebrations. They're having a formal celebration this evening, where they're all dressed in formal attire. It's been very good and very pleasing."

"Sancerre Atlee Station is brand new. It's within three miles from our daughter's home and also about three miles from a local medical facility hospital in the area. We liked the apartments that were available. We liked the size, what they looked like, and all that. The staff was very informative and answered our questions. The facility was very clean."

"I toured Spring Oak at TriCities. I saw their whole facility. They have activities and stuff for memory care. It's a very small facility, but it was very clean and very well done. I liked it a whole lot. I liked the people there. I thought it would be a good fit, except that my husband is not settled down. They hadn't come up with the proper medications and stuff, so they could not take him because he was too volatile. They have nice outdoor spaces. They were very cordial, listened to everything I had to say, and explained their whole program very well. They were professional and very polite, and I could see myself putting my husband there."
