I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

A friend has been here for years and loves it. Her family is really happy to. We needed a place for my mom for a few months and we took her to the Crossings. The staff was really good to her and she liked the food. When she is ready, she wants to be there full time. Thank you Crossings!

The food was really good at The Crossings, and the price was reasonable. I had mother's room decorated; it's small, fine, and laid out well. The staff seemed really nice, they all love my mom, and everybody seemed to like her. However, mom had several problems with the heater in her room, and she's only there a few months when they raised her rent.

I visited this facility

We went to the Crossings at Ironbridge. All we did was just visit it one day, but I thought it was nice. I didn’t have much of a visit there because my car broke down, and I had to wait for a tow truck. My sister did more of the visiting than I did. I went inside, and it seemed to be well-maintained. I believe they had activities daily. Their facilities looked nice. They do have a barber shop and salon.

The Crossings is reasonable but not excellent. They had a bathroom drain into the dining room facility which took them seven days to repair and closed half the dining facility. I appreciate the staff in the dining room, though. They need to have a full-time maintenance person to maintain the site. They haven’t washed the windows inside or out in the four years my mother-in-law has been there. The inner courtyard needs to be pressure washed at least three times a year. They need to update the bathrooms. The staff should be readily available and not sleeping during working hours. I worry about security, and my mom-in-law complains that her things disappear.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My mom has been a resident here for the past three years. She really enjoys the friendships and the activities---shopping trips, bingo and the music programs are her favorites! I eat dinner with her a couple of times a week, so I can certainly say that the food is good! The facility is pretty, clean and neat---and the staff is courteous and caring. There is always someone to greet you at the lobby desk (the other reviewer’s experience was unusual, from what I’ve seen). The have recently had a nearly complete change of upper management, new facilities renovations and a new computerized medication dispensing system put in place. It’s been a bit of a bumpy ride in the last few months, for sure! I do miss the relationships I had with the former staff, but the new staff seems nice. All in all, I definitely recommend it.

I visited this facility

Someone recommended the Crossings, and it was a nice community. The people that work there were okay. I like that it is a house and not a tall building. It was clean. They need to have someone there to greet you.

My uncle has been at the Crossing at Ironbridge for two years. It's a very nice facility. It's a warm, inviting, and friendly place. The décor and the appearance was wonderful. It was homey. And one of the things that really impressed us, they took us to a model room, it was a studio and it had a mini little kitchen. We liked everything. They had a cut out in the bathroom so you just step in and all of the safety features. They have big window to look at which was wonderful. It's nicely painted and carpeted. We didn’t get the feeling that it was all about money. They had crafts, exercises, bingo. They have a large size TV where people can watch. They did have a little pub area too. They were all in one floor and very concentrated. The biggest problem they have is the facility wasn’t a big place to begin with and most people were either in wheelchairs or etc.

Clean caring environment, with many activities and local entertainment. The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. I like the fact that meds. are administered to residents that may have a memory problem, reminders for meals, hairdressers and hygiene are a help if you can't be there on a daily basis. Meals are fair to good with a variety to choose from, and will accommodate requests if possible. Am very pleased with the facility at this point of my aunts care needs.
