"I’m a granddaughter of a resident at Paramount and my grandpa is new to the Dementia wing. I have worked for two other facilities so I had concerns. I’m telling everyone now how incredibly grateful I am to Paramount Secure environment. Rooms are huge and brand new, outings are fantastic and activities are great, not a child like thing like most. Music, one on ones and more!! Congratulations on a community well done! I am shocked at how much the residents are doing everyday. Happy, laughter and conversation is throughout the unit. My family leaves with tears of joy every single time, my grandpa is engaged in activities and never sad to see us go. Please do a favor for everyone you love and check out this place. Clean, beautiful and cheerful. The care staff are on point and I cannot say enough. Thank you for the love and gift of time and attention that you give everyone on everyday. "

"I toured Brookdale Grandon Farms. It's part of that Brookdale group, but it was newer, so just a feeling of being more updated. The setting was lovely. It just seemed more pleasing when I walked in. The staff was great."

"My husband and I went to tour Harmony at West Shore. The facility was very well cared for. It was clean. They had all kinds of activities that you could participate in. As well as if you're interested in bus trips or going to the grocery stores, they had all that. I believe they were dinner only. I guess you're on your own for the rest of it, but they did have kitchens in their independent apartments. The staff was very friendly, very knowledgeable, showed us everything that we needed to see. We're just not interested in the group meals that you have to be there at a certain time. We didn't try any meals, but the dining area was very lovely. It was very, very nice. They have a chef there who cooks all the meals, and you pick a menu for what you would like for the evening. They also have snacks, coffee, water, tea all day long. Whatever you need, they have available."

"My Great-Uncle has been living at Oak Leaf Manor (Landisville) for about a year. I have visited him at least twice a week since he has been there, so I am very familiar with Oak Leaf. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and well maintained. There is plenty of outside seating including two gazebo's. There is also an outside picnic area and nice walkways for the residents. The interior is wonderfully decorated for whatever season it happens to be. There is also a water fountain inside that is quite nice so sit around and relax. The dining room is nicely laid out and the food is good. The residents rooms are spacious and clean. The staff at Oak Leaf Manor is very friendly and caring. If any problems arise, the staff do their best to accommodate you as quickly as possible. There are a lot of activities for the residents, including BINGO, a theater room, scenic bus rides, crafts, and veterans activities. Overall Oak Leaf Manor has a very comfortable friendly atmosphere. If you are looking for a home for a loved one who can no longer live alone, I highly recommend Oak Leaf Manor. "

"The rooms were super clean and once you walk in the building smells good and has no foul orders. The residents seem so happy and full of smiles and laughter. The staff was super friendly and helpful when I came in and I have no complaints with that department. I would move my family in this building in a heartbeat based on all I seen and witnessed with my own eyes. I got to talk to some of the residents and they all said how much they enjoy living there. Also, I saw some activities they have, and they are very engaged in them."

"My tour at Autumn House West was a nice experience. It was a nice community, well-kept, and very organized. They explained everything in detail as far as everything they have in the rooms for the person living there. And about how they take them shopping, that they have an in-house doctor to help them in case they need help. They take them to doctors' appointments. So everything is pretty much there to help residents have a good living there. The person who gave me the tour was pretty good, she showed me the entire area, where they eat their food, wash their clothes, and the entertainment section where they can gather and discuss things. She finished it up by showing me one of the rooms, which was like a hotel setup and very nice. The dining area was nice. Everything was well taken care of, I didn't see anything negative at all."

"My mother is happy at Oak Leaf Manor South. It's a small facility and they're very good with her. The facility looked very nice, her room is very nice, and none of the rooms are that far from the dining area, so it was easy for everyone to get to. It's a small facility, so a lot of care is taken. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful, since it's a small facility, they know all of the patients. I haven't tried the food but my mom said it's wonderful. They cook their food, it's not like processed food. They get a menu so there's more than one option available for any given meal. They also have a memory section in another wing of the facility. They have several activities each day, there's always something to be done. They have musicians come in. There's bingo, aerobics, and physical activities that you can attend in the morning, though you're not required to go to them."

"Victorian Villa was an excellent facility. It was about an hour from my home. It seemed professional but yet home like. The people were extremely friendly. I could sense a secure atmosphere, and I would recommend anyone to visit if they were looking for a personal care home as opposed to a larger facility. The rooms were spacious. The facilities were excellent and well maintained. They had an elevator for residents who needed walkers or scooters. They had exceptional cognitive activities which I really liked. "

"We visited the Country Meadows of Hershey. It was a very lovely facility with a lot of amenities. They have art and painting, they have a library and they do exercises. They gave us a wrap sandwich as a sample of their food, and it was a very nice sandwich. I don't think that the people were eating wrap sandwiches that day, it was just their attempt to let us taste their food. The staff members were very pleasant and very helpful, any question that you asked, they would go out of their way to attempt to answer it. The thing that I like the least about them is the price because it's one of the more expensive facilities. The thing that I like the best was the physical aspect of the facility. I liked the building the best."

"My wife and I have been looking at assisted living communities and there are many to look at. I must say our visit to Ecumenical was very positive. The vacility is very clean.The rooms were very nice and the entire campus gives you a private resort atmosphere. We were invited to have lunch on our visit and I must commend the hospitality and quality of the menu and the dining area. We plan to visit again in the near future as Ecumenical is high on our list of assisted living communities. R.Mahan "

"We visited the Ecumenical Retirement Community and my dad liked it. It's very nice and we're very pleased with it, so we stopped looking. Everything there was nice and the people were extraordinary. The staff who gave the tour was great. The room they showed for assisted living was very nice. They had lunch for us, it was really good, the food was delicious and my dad liked it. Their dining area was very nice, and clean, and it looked well-organized. They have a few gardens as well. The staff members were very nice, that was one of the things that my dad liked, that everybody was so nice to him."

"My mom has moved into Butler Street Senior Living. It's a brand-new facility, and they have 24-hour security, round the clock care. They have a doctor and a nurse on staff. The nurse visits twice a week. The doctor comes, either once or twice a month. If there's something needed, they have transportation to all the surrounding hospitals. The staff so far seem nice, pleasant, professional. I said the facilities are brand new, so the rooms are brand new. There are residents already. There have been residents in the community since, I guess, June or July of last year. The facility is only about six months old. The dining area was large, clean, and nice. They have TV and telephone. They have a hair salon, game room, library, and chapel. So far, upkeep and maintenance seem good. It seemed like a reasonable rate for the room and the services provided. They have activities. They have daily activities, and mom is already involved in a couple of things."

"I toured Columbia Cottage Linglestown. This one would not be good for my mother being that it is for people that have greater memory loss and have more needs than where I feel she's at. It is a highly skilled level of care for the residents. They have 10 different levels of care for their residents, and they have LPNs and RNs. I have a friend that's living there, and that's why I went to visit it. It is a new facility and it's beautiful. The rooms were very posh and very nice. They have beautiful cabinetry. Very nice and very clean. They have a phenomenal number of activities. They have a salon, and I talked to a lady who was getting ready to go in for a salon appointment. I got to see some pictures of my friend in different activities he had engaged in. Their calendar is full of activities. My friend at that time was watching TV, but then in another room, they were watching a movie. However, there are no pets allowed. There were quite a few amenities. Regarding their menu, they offer several options. They have several different walking paths and things like that. So they do have a lot to offer. "
