The staff all speak with very thick accents, even the nurses. The aides are not friendly and called a nurse to accuse me of smoking in my husband's room! We are both non smokers. My husband had a private line for 1 week and then it broke. They replaced it but took away his private line and I haven't been able to call him to say goodnight every night in 3 weeks. I call every single day to complain and ask them to fix it. The 2nd floor unit manager never answers her phone or returns calls. The clock in his room has been broken since he arrived and they never know what time it is. I've been complaining for a month and they haven't fixed it. My husband is miserable there.

Would like to show my appreciation to Ines for going above and beyond what is asked of her. She is one of the high quality employees working at the Guardian Center. She will go out of her way to help you with any problems you might have. Ines is very polite and never has anything negative to say about anyone. The Guardian Center is so lucky to have her under employment. She is definitely a keeper. Thank you Ines for all you do. Mark

As I was coming close to the dining area to visit my mother I observed a nurse speaking very rudely to my mother and when she asked a question the nursed marched off and commented nastily " Don't start with me" Several of my mother's belongings have gone missing including her winter coat and purse. I have made several inquiries with no answers

I visited The Guardian Nursing Facility recently. I found the Staff very friendly and helpful. The building is clean and taken care of. It is bright and cheerful. All my questions were answered and I felt very pleased to feel comfortable there.

Walking into your facility I was very negative looking for every reason to not place my loved one in a long term care. I walked out after our tour with a different view which was how could I get her into the Guardian Center .The building was beautiful and the staff we ran into had a pleasant greeting to us with a smile. The Administrator is amazing, she spoke to us as if we were family and all her kind words and we never felt rushed even with all of our question. One of our hardest days was that tour has turned into a relief seeing staff interacting and the way the administrator treated us. THANK YOU

My older friend seemed to be neglected and staff did not try to understand his needs. I found him the first time alone in a very hot room without A/C and without a phone, water, or anything within his reach. He was not able to walk at this point so he relied on what others placed near him. There was no calendar or white board to indicate when his therapy was and the names of his staff. He fell twice while at The Guardian and there were no signs of measures to identify people at risk of falling and to prevent that. One fall led to a rehospitalization. The second time I found him during the day in a dark room, alone, again with no calendar, and this time not even a clock, which is not acceptable for elderly people who can "sundown" and become confused without these. Several staff on the unit seemed uninterested in the patients, although at least one of them was attentive and tried to be helpful. This place gets only 1 out of 5 stars in the Medicare rating system of all nursing homes. Please try someplace else for anyone you care about.
