"We toured Woodmont Health Campus. The staff was definitely the thing I like the best. The thing I like the least is that it was a bigger facility. I like the small facility. The staff had a lot of responsibilities, so they were managing quite a lot. The food was amazing. There was variety, quality, and nutritive value. The facilities are well-maintained and spacious. They have tons of activities that go on. The activities director is constantly working to bring new things in and make it exciting for the residents."

"My sister moved into Dogwood Retreat and it's very good so far. They are kind, caring, professional, clean, and trustworthy. They do what they say they're going to do and you can count on them to remind the residents to take their medication on time, they don't steal, and they don't bully. The activities inside the facility are a five."

"I have several friends who are at Primrose Retirement Community of Newburgh. I like it very much. I like the choices and sizes of the rooms. I like the manager, and I'm impressed with her. I also like the layout of the dining room. I don't feel like I'm in a hospital; it seems more like a nice dining room where you can go to eat. I've been there when they had people come in for entertainment. I like how the rooms are laid out. The food was good, and their food is the best among all the facilities I've visited. I think the value for the money that they get there is good."

"The Heritage Woods of Newburgh looked like a hotel on the inside. Everything was clean. Everybody was friendly. It just looked so inviting. The maintenance man was the one that gave us the first walkthrough, and he was really great. His wife happened to be the director, who was the head of everything. They were both very nice, respectful, and helpful. They have like an open restaurant, and you can see them preparing food and stuff like that. It smelled good, and everybody was happy. They go on outings. They have game nights, a full movie theater with a popcorn machine, a pool table, a library, a computer room, bingo twice a week, and all these other activities that would keep them busy all week long."

"My mother was a resident at Oakwood Health Campus for 13 months. The entire staff went above and beyond in the care of her. They had special entertainment, games, and plenty of things for her to do. They catered to her requests as much as possible. She was able to stay in a private room, so she was able to have her own rocking chair, storage cabinets, and stuff from home. They took care of her in the best way they could. My mom passed away while in there. They were very respectful of our wishes and our privacy. If the time comes to have to put another family member in a home, I would definitely use Oakwood again. "

"Colonial Senior Living is very nice and new. It has been open for two years now. The staff members are most accommodating and very kind. The food is magnificent. It is home-cooking; it is excellent. I have a 2-bedroom where I have one big bathroom and a patio. Our breakfast is served from 7 to 9 a.m., lunch is served from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and evening dinner is 5 to 7 p.m. We have exercises, Bible studies, bingo, and cooking activity. A girl comes around in a van and she brings us books from the library. She comes every week. She finds out what you like and provides books of your selection. Once a month we go out and have dinner some place, and they provide transportation for us."

"This assisted living facility is of good quality. The grounds are nice with a walking path that my grandfather uses frequently. His room, although not too spacious is big enough to hold his queen sized bed and has a small living area which holds his lift chair a loveseat, and a TV. Across from this area is a kitchenette which has a small sink, cabinet space, and a medium sized refrigerator. The room is always clean and free of dust or soap scum in the bathroom. Staff is friendly and not too intrusive. His laundry is done well and to his liking. The food is very good by his opinion and he eats almost all meals served. Overall my grandfather is very happy living at Colonial Assisted Living and I am happy knowing that he is safe and is getting his medications on time. He can have his independence with support. "

"My mom stayed at The Homeplace of Henderson. I would highly recommend them. I was very, very pleased. It's an excellent place. The facility was exceptional, very clean, and well-run. They had exceptional management. The food was very good. My mom was quite happy with the place. The activities seemed to be pretty good."

"My mom is in Oasis Dementia Care. It is wonderful, small and intimate. The ratio of caregivers to residents is very low. So far we are pleased. The rooms are beautiful. The facility just recently opened in January. Everything is clean and nice with soothing colors. They have activities like exercise and puzzles. They have a game room, a TV room and a large area meeting room. The security is excellent. "

"Redbanks Nursing Home is a great place for your loved one to reside. My husband's grandma is a resident there and the first time we visited we were very happy with the conditions in which she was living. They have an excellent and friendly staff and the facility is of top quality. The residents are provided with many day to day activities to keep them active. They have a movie theatre,bingo hall,dance room and much more. They have trained therapy staff and nurses dedicated to providing quality care and making sure the place feels like home. The have private rooms as well as semi private rooms available. The food is very healthy and of good quality. The facility was clean and neat and there was always someone nearby to answer any questions we may have had. I would reccomend this place to others looking for a perfect place for their loved ones. "

"Having never visited or had relatives live in an assisted living community before, I really wasn't sure what to expect. After the first visit however, I was blown away by all that this place offers. First, they have 3 "tiers" of support that they offer to their residents. (1) Complete and total care, (2) casual assistance like a dorm/hotel room where it is kept clean, but you still have independence and (3)a full apartment for those that require little to no assistance.My grandmother lived in the level 2 area. She had all of her personal items, television and clothes right there with her, but was also able to notify the staff at any time, 24 hours a day, when she needed their help. They would also check on her a few times a day regardless for food and medication needs.The biggest surprise I had about this facility was the amount of activities that they offered. My grandmother used to talk about all of the fun things she got to do on a daily basis. This would include bingo, church services, card games, musicians/singers, movies, holiday dinners, and even Wii Bowling! She would always be excited to show off the small prizes (little trinkets and whatnot) that she would win.She was extremely resistive to the thought of moving out of her home, but once she was there, I don't think you could have pulled her out. The food was good, the staff was genuinely caring and compassionate, and the events kept her active and were fun. When she passed away, the Protestant Home even sent flowers.I have no doubt that had she gotten better off, that she would've wanted to move into one of the apartment buildings instead of back into her home just so she could still be apart of the community and friends she had made. She loved it there and we were blessed to have found a place to take such good care of her in her final years. "

"River Pointe is more like independent living. Their apartments have their outside entrances. Residents have their own cars and things like that. The facility is overall nice. I probably would recommend it to others. It is just not for my half-sister. It is also expensive. "

"My relative has been in the Silver Birch of Evansville since December and we're satisfied with them. It's a nice place and the staff is very good. He's got a one-bedroom and someone comes in, cleans up every day, and does everything like washing dishes. They prepared his meals, and they got a washer and dryer on the floor, a theater room, a pool room, and everything really, so he's very happy with it. The facility has only been built for about two years. It's practically new and they're not only located in Evansville but around the state of Indiana. They have a van that takes them to doctor's appointments, and they have an RN and a case manager on staff, so I'm pleased with that. He says the food is really good and they eat three times a day, but since we've been into COVID, they've been fixing their breakfast, lunch, and dinner into their rooms in styrofoam plates. You can't just walk in there, you need to have your temperature checked and all of that. They have a nice little garden area, an exercise room, and they do crafts."

"Riverwalk was very nice and I was ready to move in, but they didn’t allow my cats. It was very clean and it has big dining room. I heard the food was good and I have nothing bad to say about them. "
