Colonial Assisted Living and Independent Living was much older. It was very nice, but it was not as new. The staff who accommodated me was very knowledgeable and very kind. The dining area looked nice. They had more people, too. However, the rooms were smaller. The place was very clean but it was older.

Colonial Assisted Living is in my hometown, that's number one and he knows people out there, that's number two. I think the level of care is really good so that's what we like. We'd eaten there and the food is great. The facility is very well maintained. They had a lot of options and the staff is very good. We are all satisfied.

The Colonial Assisted Living Complex has been my Grandma's home for the last 4 years. It is located in Henderson, KY. This facility is a very nice and clean assisted living facility. There are several events for the residents located in the commons area on the main floor. These events are held once or twice a week. One of the neat things is that they offer assistance to residents in helping them get to nearby grocery stores, restaurants, and even the mall to have a little leisure time. The staff here is very courteous, helpful, and understanding, they do a fantastic job taking care of all of the residents. The amenities here are fairly nice, but could be better. The rooms are basically little apartments, with each containing a tiny kitchen area, a living room, bedroom, and bathroom. There is also a commons area with a big screen television located on the first floor, as well as a common laundry area room, vending room, and a chapel. This complex also offers residents storage bins located in the basement, completely free of charge. I think the Colonial Assisted Living Complex is a very nice place to stay, and I know that my grandma is enjoying her time spent there.

This assisted living facility is of good quality. The grounds are nice with a walking path that my grandfather uses frequently. His room, although not too spacious is big enough to hold his queen sized bed and has a small living area which holds his lift chair a loveseat, and a TV. Across from this area is a kitchenette which has a small sink, cabinet space, and a medium sized refrigerator. The room is always clean and free of dust or soap scum in the bathroom. Staff is friendly and not too intrusive. His laundry is done well and to his liking. The food is very good by his opinion and he eats almost all meals served. Overall my grandfather is very happy living at Colonial Assisted Living and I am happy knowing that he is safe and is getting his medications on time. He can have his independence with support.

My Aunt lived at Colonial Assisted Living for three years. In the beginning we thought she just had dementia. But after meeting with the doctors and the facility staff they diagnosed her with the beginning signs of Alzheimer's disease. This was so devastating to my mother. MY Aunt was her older sister and she was starting to forget my mother. The Alzheimer's unit was very large one and had great memory classes for the residents each day. This really helped my aunt with keeping her current memories and remember old one. I was happy to visit her with my mother because she always knew my mother. I was okay with her not knowing me, but once I would introduce myself, the memories would come back to her. Every time we would visit I would notice how impeccably my aunt dressed was. I asked the nurse how they kept everyone so clean, and they said their cnas's were always busy working with the residents.
