"I toured Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods. It seemed very well organized. The staff I met were friendly, and it was very clean. They had enough activities to keep my father active, which is important for him. It was a good facility. It was very spacious and had easy access for wheelchairs."

"My father-in-law has moved into Highgrove at Tates Creek. He's in memory care. It's been great so far. We really enjoy it. No complaints on our end. We were hoping he'd be in the assisted living, but he just needs a higher level of care. The assisted living area is beautiful. The entrance is very welcoming. In the memory care, his room is a little bit smaller, but he's got enough room for maneuvering in his wheelchair. It's got all the amenities. He has a mini-fridge and a little kitchenette area, and the bathroom is nice. The staff has been nothing but helpful for any questions we have, or any help we've needed while he's been there. They have arts and crafts time where they can do painting. They also have coloring books and puzzles and things of that sort. He has enjoyed all the meals he's gotten. No complaints on our end. We've actually eaten with them and it was pretty good. It's not like gourmet food, but for an assisted living place it's pretty good. We've got four kids and they offered all my kids free meals while we were there visiting. They've been great. They've been supportive in the transition because he went from assisted living into the memory care, so that was a pretty big adjustment for him. He seems to be doing pretty good with it. They've been nothing but helpful. I know memory care is expensive. It pretty much doubled in price from assisted living to that, so it was a bit of a shock."

"I visited Holiday Hartland Hills and actually quite liked it. They were very nice, and it looked like a nice facility. I had lunch there, and it was a nice meal. Everybody was very friendly and very welcoming. The facility itself was nice and located in an area that I'm fairly familiar with. It wasn't somewhere where I had no idea where anything was so that's one thing about it that was good. It seemed like it would be a nice place to live, and they made me feel very welcome. They showed me the independent living apartments because that's what I was looking for. I didn't actually go wandering around or anything like that but I could see out the windows and it looked nice. Lexington is a pretty town with a lot of nice green areas. It was the 1-bedroom apartment that I looked at, and I'm pretty sure they had refrigerators. I would think they would have to have them so that if you have leftovers or anything you want to bring in for yourself, you have a way to keep it from spoiling."

"My mother lived in the memory care community. While there she received compassionate, person-centered care from the entire team. The caregivers treated her like family and took her preferences into account. The life enrichment team provided her opportunities to express herself and have fun each day. I would recommend this community to anyone searching for care for their loved one."

"I toured Preston Greens Senior Living. When you walk in, it's a beautiful place. It's more like a hotel or resort, and brand new. The staff was very friendly. He took me on the tour, showed me around different things, and showed me the rooms and where my dad would stay. It's very nice, but I can't afford it. They have different stuff to do. They told me about all the different crafts they have for them daily. The price wasn't bad compared to others."

"Dad moved to Bradford Square and he is happy there. They're taking good care of him. They have nice and clean facilities. They have a room where they can all go and be together to play games and stuff like that. In their rooms, they have their TV and restroom. The food is healthy. They are a little short-staffed, but the staff that I have met has been very friendly and helpful. They're a little expensive."

"I am in the rehab section of Golden LivingCenter - Frankfort. It's an older facility, but it's well-maintained and properly staffed. The nurses are excellent. If an issue comes up, medical or otherwise, they're quick to resolve it. There are two people in each room. The rehab facility is equipped with cable television. There are daily events to keep residents busy. They go on outings, church groups visit. They have bingo and exercise clubs. A beautician comes here to do women's hair. "

"Dominion Senior Living of Frankfort was a very nice place. The food and dining area were excellent. We visited the memory care and the place looked brand new and spotless. It looked like they just built the place, so it was clean as it can be. The lady that did the tour was very pleasant and very helpful. She was concerned about mom, but once we found out that mom didn't qualify for there, she still was trying to help locate a place for mom."

"I was most impressed with Ashwood Place. I like that even though it's independent living, they have a subcontractor they work with, and they offer a la carte assistance. The rooms were nice. Everything was very nice there. The staff was very professional and very informational. They had activities."

"The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Frankfort is a very, very nice facility, especially if your family has dementia. They have a doctor on site. They have a hair salon, they have a podiatrist there, they do a lot of activities and they have a chef on staff. I only saw one room, but it was a nice size room. It's a very clean facility. It's all private pay so it's a little expensive for us. It is a very nice place and the people we talked to were very nice. They were doing an activity with a basketball, they had music going and the people were cheering. I would take my dad there if we had that kind of money, but it was a little pricey. The staff who gave the tour was very nice."

"Morning Pointe of Frankfort was a really nice facility, but my mom needed more care. It has Alzheimer's/memory care and assisted living, but my mom is too ill for that. I talked to a couple ladies who live there and they said they really like it. They take them places and they do things. It was clean, it had a beautiful setting, and it was decorated very nicely. The staff seemed very nice. The dining room was very nice too."

"The Cottages of Frankfort is a great place to live. I wouldn't mind living there myself. It's more of a classier place. The lady who was showing me around was very nice. They had exercise rooms, a swimming pool, and probably tanning beds."

"I suffered a burst T-12 spinal fracture and a compression fracture of L5. When I arrived I was unable to walk on my own. Only 5 days later, I went home completely able to get around and take care of myself. Their advice, therapy and all around attitude gave me the skills I needed. I can't say enough about how impressed I am."
