"We liked Fieldstone Cooper Point enough to actually move our mom in. They're very nice. They showed us all around. We saw a lot, and then we decided. It all worked out. My sister and my brother moved her in, and they said it went fine. It was a weekend, so there wasn't any help moving things in. If it had been a weekday, Fieldstone would have had people there to move her stuff. They have quite a few activities. She's discovering those activities as she just moved in. They have a lot of activities on-site. They have an exercise room, a library, a dining room, and a snack bar. They have a lot. It's only a year and a half old. Her room is a good size for one person. It's a good size for two people, for that matter. They have a little courtyard where you take walks. Their dining room is open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for the residence. It's close to everyone else's prices that we compared to. They're also in a beautiful area, the northwest. It's very, very nice."

"Patriots Landing was beautiful and reminded me of a resort. However, it wasn’t what my mom was looking for. It was too big for her, but it was warm and welcoming. The people were very nice and friendly. It was lovely. We had some coffee while talking with the ladies who were very hospitable. The place was very clean. They had a whole calendar of activities for the dementia area, specifically, as well as for the other residents and a library. We were there to see the dementia unit. I would not mind living there myself. They had a walk-in tub where they could soak if they wanted. The rooms were nice, and even in the ones they considered semi-private rooms, the person had their privacy and individual space. In the memory care unit, they had little shelves outside the doors where they could put personal pictures of their family, so that they would know that it was their room, which was very nice. "

"We have chosen Prestige Senior Living Rosemont. We haven't moved in yet though. The people that work there and the girl that showed us around, everybody we've talked to has been just great. There wasn't anything that we didn't like except they could have been bigger rooms. The unit that they showed us is a nice room. We are getting the two-bedroom and it has a little balcony outside. The room has a kitchen, which is a nice whole kitchen. The dining room is big. They have a lot to offer like exercise classes, games, or whatever. We ate lunch there, and it was good. It was well prepared. We got our choice of salads or meals. They were both good."

"I toured Aspire Care Adult Family Home. I like the idea that there's a person there to resolve issues as opposed to a waiting list. They have a good ratio. It's a family neighborhood. It's not a huge building. It's just a single-family home. They have wheelchair-size doorways that can handle wheelchairs and wheelchair-accessible showers. I looked at their menu. It seemed OK."

"Cogir at the Narrows is closest to my house. I liked it there when I went to do the visit. The facility was very, very nice. One nice thing that I liked was that they had senior living, assisted living, and also memory care, so my mom could transfer if something was wrong. I got to see a two-bedroom and a one-bedroom apartment. It was very nice. They have exercise programs. They have a beauty salon there. The dining room was very nice. They go on tours, like field trips, which I thought was nice. The facility was very clean."

"I opted for Life Manor Independent Living for my mom because it was inexpensive and a nice facility. They also served one meal a day which was unusual for an independent living facility. She had a studio apartment which I liked very much. They had social events and organized activities everyday so there was a lot of stimulation for the seniors. They also took the residents to the grocery store twice a week. One area that they need to improve is their dining room because their meals were prepared at the assisted living area and brought to the independent living area. "

"I was able to visit Peninsula, and it seems to have everything I wanted. Their rooms are small, and if you want a bigger room, you have to pay for it. The grounds were well maintained. They offered us a meal, and it was very good. Their calendar was very full of different activities. They have trips to different places. They also have different lectures. They have all kinds of card games. "

"My mom moved into Sound Vista Village a couple of weeks ago. So, we're kind of new there, but for the most part, everything is going well. I like the smaller community, and it seems like the level of nursing and care that my mom is getting is much better than where we were. The staff is great. Everybody is in the mood all the time. Big smile on their face. So life is good. The rooms were nice and clean. The food was good. They have all kinds of good stuff. They've got arts and crafts. They've got a book club. They have happy hour groups where people come in and sing."

"We will be moving into GenCare LifeStyle at Point Ruston. The facility is excellent. It's almost brand new. It was only opened up just before the pandemic. The apartment is excellent. It hasn't been lived in yet, so we're the first occupants. We're going into a two-bedroom and two-bathroom. The staff members are fantastic. They've been very helpful and very welcoming. We talked with some of the residents, and everybody rated the food as excellent. They promote an active lifestyle there. So they have a swimming pool and a fully equipped exercise room with all the machines and so forth. They have a physical director who also serves as a personal trainer. We get up to three sessions with him a week. They have a movie room and an activity room. It's just a great modern facility."

"I came to take a tour on a day they had a small open house. I was invited by the staff who I’ve kept in contact with, they were extremely friendly and down to earth. The apartments seemed clean and safe. I can’t comment on the food as I didn’t get to eat lunch but the smell was amazing. It smelled like they actually used seasoning! We have a large family and a lot of other decisions to make but this community was by far the best we’ve seen."

"Evaluation after about a month living here. (BTW: they have other than Independent living and offer assisted programs as well.) In general it is a comfortable and inclusive community. The food is quite good with a variety of daily specials in a restaurant style service. They accommodate alterations to offered menu within reason. Many activities offered on site and with short trips in area. Well kept facilities with variety of accommodations offered. Staff very friendly and helpful. "

"Mom lives in Woodland Village. We chose it because I just like the facility and the people. They've been friendly and helpful. The food is fine. They got a salon, and other stuff like rec rooms and gathering rooms. There's urgent care nearby. There's a dentist's office, restaurants, stores, and stuff that were within five miles."

"My mother was at Mill Ridge Village, which is close to where I live. The cleanliness of the facility was outstanding. The staff were all attentive, friendly and wonderful. They had different activities in the facility to keep the residents busy. I did not regret having my mother live there. "
