"Stonebrook Village at Windsor Locks is good. My mother has moved into this community. It is modern, nice, and new. It is only three years old. The cleanliness is very good. They have the usual activities like arts and crafts. They have entertainment, and they have guests that come in with animals. However, they need to improve on their dining room chairs because they slide too easily. It is hard for older people to get out of them. Everyone is really friendly; the people are very nice."

"White Oaks is very clean and three minutes away from my house. The people that run the place are fantastic, and the staff goes out of their way to make themselves available whenever the residents need them. The dining area is very clean, and the servers are so accommodating to everybody. They have a salon, a chapel, a library, movie nights, and activities every day. I would highly recommend this place to anybody. The people are so welcoming and so nice, and it was an easy choice. The staff went out of their way to make the parents feel welcome, and they do a fabulous job. My parents had an issue with the cable TV while I was there and the manager personally went down there and spent 45 minutes on the phone getting it fixed. "

"Hoffman SummerWood Community was overall really good. We sampled some of the pastries that they offer, which were good. They had a life-alert pendant that comes standard with your rent. As long as you're within a certain radius of the facility, you have that available to you and you don't have to pay anything extra. They pretty much have the same things as the other places. The staff during the tour was very good. They had a great menu that they offered for lunch and dinner."

"I know a couple of people that lived in Residences at Mill 10. It is beautiful. The apartments were very nice. The ceilings were about 20 feet high. The setup was good. It was nice and open. When you come into the front door, you walk right into the kitchen area where there's a big, huge island. Then the living room is beyond that with an open concept. There's wood in the ceilings and it's got very large windows. So, it's very airy, and very bright. My friend's bedroom seemed a little small, but it had a very large walk-in closet off of it, and a nice, large bathroom. The only drawback was she lived at the end of the building, so she was on a corner, and when you come off the elevator, you're going to walk a mile to her apartment. They have exercises and a walking path right near there. They got central air/heat and they have pretty good security. I think the money you pay is worth it, because it was kind of a sliding scale type thing, and she was able to apply some kind of way to get assistance to pay."

"We're very pleased with Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing. I liked the whole community, the surroundings, and the care of the grounds and the facilities. Just very professional, very welcoming, updated. My mother is going into an independent apartment. It's being renovated, but from what I saw they looked wonderful, updated, clean, and bright. The dining area was welcoming, just lovely, and inviting. They have exercise, entertainment, a walking trail, and a recreation area. And I know they have yoga classes and fitness classes, special event parties, and holiday sort of celebrations. There was a lovely library that was well stocked and a beautiful cafe that's outside the dining area, so that visitors coming in could engage with the cafe."

"Providence Place at Ingleside is beautiful. The building is gorgeous, and the grounds are beautiful. The rooms are large. The staff was well-informed and very helpful. They have a resident that lectures on history. They have a pool. They have various special dinners for the holidays and other occasions. They have different groups, and they have yoga."

"My grandmother lived at Monastery Heights for almost 3 years and she loved it. She felt safe and cared for and really enjoyed the staff. The staff treated her like family and they always went above and beyond. She made many good friends while there and loved bingo and yoga. Her apartment that we decorated was bright and sunny and very charming. We were very happy and miss visiting the residents and staff. "

"Day Brook Village Senior Living was very clean and welcoming. The room size was a little small on what we're looking for. They had a nice dining room, but it was a little too small. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable."

"The time when we researched about a facility, we talked to a lot of different people and they said it was the best one. I like that the people are very nice. I would absolutely recommend this facility to others. Recent they were taking in a lot of Alzheimer's patients and it was really upsetting for most of the people because these Alzheimer's patients are lost all the time. They can't find their rooms. "

"The Arbors is located in a beautiful area. Sadly, the Arbors is understaffed and requires more workers to take care of the number of residents. The residents themselves were all very friendly. Even though there was a lack of staff, they made sure that breakfast was eaten by everyone at the appropriate time, and in orderly fashion. The food prepared by the staff was excellent, and I didn't hear any complaints about it from any of the residents. The residents share rooms, two residents per room and they shared the bathroom. The rooms are sized well and have a tv stand, food trays, wardrobes, and chairs. Some of the residents family members were bringing items like shampoo, and soap due to a slight lack in them at the facility. The Arbors staff is treated well, for example the break room was large and very clean. The residents had many activities available to them. Those included bingo, dominoes, visits from family, board games, and televisions. Overall, the facilities, staff, and residents are very nice, the only downfall is a slight lack of staff. "

"I have friends who live in Rockridge Retirement Community. The facility is excellent. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. When I eat in the dining room, it's very pleasant. The food was good, better than average institutional food. My friend's apartment is beautiful. And, because it's in the five college areas, they have professors come in to give talks on current events. I attended a chair yoga session, which was fun, and they've had talented musicians come in to play music."

"The one that I saw and liked was Suffield Commons. It's very close to where I am now and my family is around in this area. It was very convenient for banking, shopping, a library, and doctor's offices. They have activity rooms. Each apartment has a type of new washing machine where you wash your clothes and then it dries them. That's in the unit. And at the end of the hallway on each floor, they have a bigger laundry area that you can go to. One of the tenants helped me during my visit because the manager was on vacation that week. He showed me the apartment. We walked all around, and he showed me all the different things that they had there. There is a restaurant that they have that serves breakfast and lunch."

"I've only been living here in Connect55+ East Windsor for a month now. I signed up with them at least three years ago, before they even built it. There are a couple of things I really liked about it. One was that there was a washer and dryer in the apartment. They had crafts and stuff. They had numerous activities going on, and they had garages. I was able to move all of my stuff over to the garage. It's brand new and very clean."

"My dad and stepmom live at the Ivy and it is a beautiful place. They keep everyone busy. The family party's are wonderful they go above and beyond . Jamie is wonderful in the recreation department."
