"I went to Sun City Gardens. They all seemed very friendly and happy. The individual who gave the tour was walking around talking to everybody. It was apparent that they were very close. He was very nice and very friendly. It was very clean and very well designed. They had nice gardens. The room size was good. It wasn't too small and it had a nice open layout where wheelchairs would have been able to fit and go in and out of the room."

"It was a very nice community. The tour went very well. The staff was very pleasant. I saw a studio and a one-bedroom and they were very nice in the main location, close to the dining hall. I did see a library and a movie room, and they looked very nice, too."

"WellQuest of Menifee Lakes is a fantastic place. The people are nice. They know everybody's names. They're clean. Everything that I saw was great. I would recommend that place to anybody. We were there for over an hour and the staff sat down with us, and she talked to us. She took us through some of the apartments that they had. She showed us where they all get together and do things in the dining rooms and talk to a couple of the nurses there, and it was very nice."

"I am living in a senior home mobile community Plantation on the Lake. The people here are fantastic. It's a beautiful community. We have activities. We have two swimming pools. We had dinners once a month. We have ceramics and all kinds of stuff. They do a lot of trips to places on buses. The mobile home park is kept very, very clean. We have a crew that cuts the grass for the park individually."

"If everything comes together, then I'll be able to move into The Village at Redlands. It's owned by a group of churches. They have a limited number of income-qualified residents but they told me that they're going to work on getting me into a regular apartment at something close to the income-qualifying grade. I looked at one of their apartments and saw that it was clean. I dare say it was spotless. The facilities are very well-maintained. I found out that they had washing facilities and you can do washing free. They also provide transportation to doctors, nurses and so forth. "

"I like The Village at Redlands. It's a very quiet place. I could hardly see people in the hallway. They're all seniors, and they're older than me. The compound is located in a distant neighborhood. That's one thing I like about it. I noticed some areas are close to a town or stores. Sometimes I don't like it close to the neighboring areas. Generally, I like the environment at The Village at Redlands. Before I spoke with the manager, I had already checked the place out. I said, "I like this place." It's a two-story building, and it's built like a hotel. They have what they call cottages. They're duplexes, but they look like single-family homes. That's also for rent for seniors like me. They cost more, but they're real houses. They have a front yard taken care of by the management. They have a two-car garage. I like it. So, when I met with the manager, there was only one vacant, which is why I rushed in and took it. It has a security gate. It has glass doors. It has a PIN code. I like the way it looks. This does't really have a staff because it's independent living. There's one person who works in the office. The office is separated from the main building. There is also a staff that cleans and takes care of the area. They don't clean where we live. They will clean it if we request it, and we have to pay for it."

"I'm at Plymouth Village and I'm happy with it. I like that there's a couple of different places you can eat for different kinds of cuisine. If you don't eat most of your meals here, you can get wine or beer at the end of the month to share with your friends, or you can bring company to use up some of your meals that you didn't use. I've got my own car. I drive places. When I don't want to, I can have them come and pick me up in a golf cart and drive me around the facility, or take me to doctors or shopping in the town. If you don't want to drive you can still qualify as independent. The staff is wonderful. The guys who drive the golf carts to the people who wait on us for dinner know my name, but we have name tags if we want to wear them. They knew who I was after just a few weeks. It's everything I had hoped for. They have people who come around to make sure you know all the services, how to get hold of the concierge, how to get hold of any maintenance you want to do, or how to get medical help if you need. They come around and make sure you know all of that and know the different activities that are going on and stuff like that. They're very involved in getting me into the groups. They're so pleasant. The food is wonderful. You can eat and be served. You can take your meals home or they will deliver them to you at your door, whichever you want. They've got something going every day. They make sure they give you a list for the whole month of what's coming up and what time and where. They make sure you're all informed on everything. Comparing it to other places, there are some that are equally as expensive, too, that I didn't choose."

"Loma Linda Springs was very nice and very much affordable. There were a lot of units and was more of an independent living place. The grounds were well-kept, and the people were nice. Everybody there wasn't in need of help or somebody per se, and yet there were a couple of older people there who would very much appreciate amenities like the bus that takes you shopping and the game room. They have a mixture of age groups or people with different needs. The dining area was nice-looking. "
