"I thought Golden Oaks was beautiful. They were super friendly and a great place. My friend is not as mobile as she could be, so we just viewed the apartment and some of the things, and it was beautiful. I liked it a lot. The facility was very clean too. They have a piano bar, and their laundry rooms were convenient with respect to where her apartment is going to be. She was happy, so I was happy too. The facility's location is also conveniently located for us. The parking was a little tight, but other than that, I think it's perfect."

"We toured The Grove Assisted Living. The cleanliness and structure were good. It had an elevator to go up. The breakdown of the building, like the two top floors, is for the independent. The other floors are for the assisted, and that was fine. It was good. The service seemed fine. We only spoke with the tour guide or the assistant manager, and they seemed mostly informed and answered our questions. The structure was fine for a tower building. It seemed accessible. It didn't seem like a lot outdoors, but they were working on it, so it wasn't done yet. I think they emphasize the ability to walk around the block downtown, so that's good. Everybody seemed attentive and knew each other, both staff-wise and resident-wise. They were trying to accommodate many different things for their residents. It seemed a little busy in the middle of the day when we were on the tour. It seemed a bit congested at the elevators on the first floor, but that was just on the first floor. People were getting to lunch or going out to shop, so it was busy and a bit loud in the lobby area, but voices carried. Otherwise, it seems fine where it was broken down into the dining room, the lounge, or group seating. I could only see the physical therapy area from the outside, but it looked well-maintained. The rooms that we saw appeared fine. They would meet amenity-wise for my aunt, she said."

"I love Alta Vita. I have my own home, I can drive, and I am free to do as I want to do, but if I need help it is here and available. I’m figuring I’m going to be in Alzheimer’s facing, and they have an Alzheimer’s unit here. They have every activities; they just put in a pickleball court, and we have a dog park and a potty green. I am in the independent living, but I have one meal a day. It's good, but I can go to the dining room for lunch or just pick up lunch in the café or go to dinner. I like the dining room because I love the salad in the salad bar. I have 2 bathrooms, a living room, a dining room, and a kitchen. My bedroom is quite large with a sun room and a patio, and I have a 2-car garage. I have been here for about three years, and I feel like I’m in my home. "

"I've been very happy with them. The people are always smiling, which makes me feel comfortable because it means that they are happy there and are being treated correctly. My husband's room is simple and plain, but clean. I've been very happy with the staff. The food is not gourmet, but it's quite good. They give the residents a daily listing of what's available, and they just recently got transportation that takes them on excursions."

"I liked everything about Cadence at Rancho Cucamonga. It just wasn't affordable, but they were incredible. They were just friendly and thorough and were upfront with their pricing first, which we appreciated, but we still wanted to see the place just to compare. They were a little newer. If we could afford it, we would get in. They had a great courtyard and a gym with a trainer who came in and worked with them. Their dining area was nice. The facility is near to everything. It's near the hospital, the shopping center, and the restaurant."

"I went to Brookdale Sunwest. The staff is very nice, they had a gymnasium, but most impressive was a vegetable garden outside, and there's a lot of garden space. The apartments were a good size, a good layout, and the dining area was very nice. It's a very nice place, very clean, and very well-maintained."

"Valencia Commons is very active. The seniors seem very happy there. It’s a larger community in a good neighborhood. They have a park right across the street and veterans activities. Their staff is dressed casually, so it does not have an institutional feel because their staff doesn’t dress up in uniform. It is very casual but very attentive. They have a reading room, a library, a little weight room, a pool table, lots of activities, and transportation to nearby appointmens. It seemed like a very well-run facility. "

"The Camelot was great. It was a good place. We like the rooms. I also like the dining room. It's like a social area, and it's very nice. Then they have a theater where the seniors could watch movies. They also have a library where you could drink teas. They have a book club, a movie theater, and bingo."

"My mother is in here. There's nothing I don't like aside from the distance between us. It's nice, it's pretty, and it's clean. She's independent. She doesn't have any help. They just cook her meals and clean her room right now. The staff is friendly. They offer bingo, horseracing, aerobics, exercising, and happy hour. They have lots of games and crafts. They have a lot to offer. They have a swimming pool, a gym, a chapel, a hair salon, a store, and a lot of walking grounds."

"WellQuest of Menifee Lakes seemed fairly new. It's very clean and very well organized. I'm just very pleased with everything they have, like the activities and the care. The rooms are very nice. I like the openness of it. It's just very pleasant, and I was really impressed with it. My partner will be moving to their memory care. I'm very happy with them. I've gone to the others, and they're OK. I just got a good impression there. I thought the apartments were very nice. They have plenty of room, and they allow you to put pictures on the walls. They're fine with that, and they said to make it your home. I was really impressed with that. We'll be able to move his furniture in and things that will remind him of home. I can visit any time, too. It was nice that they don't have a restricted visitation. I think the upkeep is wonderful. The place is just spotlessly clean and seems very well-organized. There were people playing bingo and having a good time, and I thought it was great. The dining room is very well-appointed too. I like that. There were so many amenities. They said that once in a while, they take everybody in the van and go for picnics or go somewhere. I thought that was fun and nice. They probably had a hundred activities rolling on a screen there, just different things they could do during the day. I didn't even point out all of them because I don't think that he will participate in a lot of them. They had numerous things to do. They also had a nice walking area with a little path that was gated on both ends. There was plenty of room to walk, sit, and do what they wanted. I'm very impressed with it. The staff we toured with was wonderful. He gave us all the information we wanted. We sat and talked to him. My daughter came down from Seattle. We both went in again, and she asked every question available. He answered every one to our satisfaction. His name was Mike, and we really liked him."

"I liked Estancia Del Sol. It was newer, more up to date, I liked the location, and I liked how it was set up. It was also close to my house, so it would have been convenient for my wife to step in and help me out. It look like a plush hotel, the food looked pretty good, and it was restaurant style for the assisted living. I looked at both the assisted living and memory care. Everything was pretty top cabin. I would pick it for my parents because of its proximity and how new it is. The memory care eating area was nice. I saw somebody walking a dog there and everybody knew each other. They had a movie theater, an art room, an outdoor area where you could plant a garden, and a guest visitation area where you could be with your family."

"This was an excellent facility. I was very impressed with it, and the programs they had for dementia patients. They had a lot of activities, the patients seemed happy, and well-cared for. The rooms seemed very nice. They had cottages, and there were 15 in a cottage. They had a central area. It was well-maintained, kept up, and the grounds were beautiful. The dining area was nice. The people were friendly, and the assistance seemed great. "

"Corona RCFE was very nice, and the people were very friendly. The grounds were good. The room is perfect for my mother who is 92. She just needs a room with a little bed, a chair, and a TV. That's all she needs. It looks like she can go out and go to the dining room area, and things like that, and they have those things available too. The staff who helped me was very friendly and answered all the questions. She was very good. I didn't sample the food, but the dining area was fine. For activities, they have a little room where people can go and they can meet with each other and play games and so on, so that's fine."
