"Sun City Gardens was a very nice place. The staff was neat and well dressed, and some were in uniforms. There were a lot of residents in wheelchairs and walkers, and they were well attended to. I saw a room with a bath, a built-in closet, and a small refrigerator. I also saw a 1-bedroom and a 2-bedroom apartment, which had more elaborate kitchens. They had great security at that place."

"My mother-in-law is here. The room is sufficient to the space that she needs. The only thing that I question is having more ramping rather than stairs to the rooms at the second level. They do have an elevator, but it is a little small. As for the dining, that does take some time for them to get their meal on a timely manner for the two sitting times that they have scheduled. The place and the staff are great. My mother-in-law is pretty content with the activities. It is a little bit peaceful. The rooms have view of outside garden, trees, and birds. "

"I toured WellQuest of Menifee Lakes. When I got there, the power was out. They were doing well. They were doing some work, and this is a facility that has elderly, and they need elevators. I had gotten there right at dinner time, and people were unable to get downstairs to eat. The staff were taking meals to people who couldn't come down to the room. They didn't let the power being out faze them. They were handling it. Things were going on, but they still greeted me pleasantly and took the time. The residents were in the bar. Residents were everywhere. The residents were talking. Some of them didn't want to be in their room with no power, but I could see that they weren't. They were free to come and go as they pleased. The staff and everybody were very nice and helpful. I didn't have an appointment, so they didn't have to show me around, but they did. They took me to a room. They showed me the room as we were walking down the hall. The person I spoke with was making sure people were OK as they opened their doors. A very beautiful facility, but it's very small."

"We chose Brookdale Sunwest for Mom because the accommodations were nicer, it appeared to be safer, and the people were nicer. There's assisted living as well."

"My wife and i moved here 3 years ago. There is no doubt that we made the right move.. We checked out other sites prior to choosing the Village..The staff at independent living and assisted living are beyond caring and soon become, not only caregivers but friends as well.. i give praise to all and especially my God for the many blessings.bestowed on my wife and me "

"I chose The Camelot. I like the overall appearance of it. It's really cute, and it looks like a castle on the outside. They have a beautiful pool. The dining room is nice, big, and open. They have three chef-prepared meals a day. I got a one-bedroom apartment, and it's very suitable for me. It opens out onto a patio, and it's the ground floor, which was very important to me because I have a small dog. I talked to some other residents, who said they love the food there. I haven't moved in yet, but I'm excited, and I think I will love it."

"My friend will be moving in. It was the best one that we liked. I saw about six different places. I kept going back to this one. It was spacious. It was all on one floor. I was able to get a tour kind of unannounced and I just got a good vibe from it and the people that I've been working with have been responsive. I feel like I lucked out with this location. She will have a studio apartment with hardwood floors. She has her own air-conditioning unit and her own bathroom. It's fairly small, under 400 square feet, but she has a window with a nice view. I'm already starting to send items over for her to get set up in there. I'm happy with that. There were a few different apartment options. The studio was the only one available. I would have possibly considered getting her the one-bedroom, but there was nothing available and time isn't on my side right now. There was almost like a mini apartment for two that had a kitchenette that didn't suit our needs. They also had a memory care bungalow. There are different bungalows according to their needs. I've been working with Jennifer, who's been great. The executive director came to my friend's house two weeks ago to do an assessment and the intake. It was nice to have the executive director come all the way out to see her. It just shows that they care. I did see the menu and it looked pretty good. Then the gal told me that there's a committee and there are people who can kind of vote on the meals that are served and what sounds appetizing."

"We went to Estancia Del Sol. It was less expensive for the square feet. It was the first place I went to. A couple of things that I really did like about it were that in the one-bedroom apartment with the kitchenette, they actually had a peninsula countertop where you could sit and eat, so you don't necessarily need to have a dining table. I really liked that, and I also liked the shower. There's a flat floor walk-in shower with just a rubber strip that stops the water from running out, and so that was really nice. They also had a microwave for the one-bedroom, they had three closets, and their transportation radius was 25 miles, which was good. One of the downfalls was that visitors can only visit in the apartment at this time. They also knew the VA clinic available close by. They have a beautiful lobby when you walk in."

"I visited.It's an assisted living place and overall it was fine for me especially because they had an enclosed little dog park. The place was beautiful. The person who assisted me during the tour was wonderful. He was very good with follow-through and was very personable. I also observed that they have a very friendly staff."

"Corona RCFE was very nice, and the people were very friendly. The grounds were good. The room is perfect for my mother who is 92. She just needs a room with a little bed, a chair, and a TV. That's all she needs. It looks like she can go out and go to the dining room area, and things like that, and they have those things available too. The staff who helped me was very friendly and answered all the questions. She was very good. I didn't sample the food, but the dining area was fine. For activities, they have a little room where people can go and they can meet with each other and play games and so on, so that's fine."

"Ivy Park at Murrieta was very new, very clean, and very nice, but it was more than what we needed. Their rooms had Jack and Jill bathrooms and they were nice rooms. Their food was good quality. They had walking areas, TV rooms, and cafeteria/restaurant."

"I like Cadence at Rancho Cucamonga. The facility was brand new, so everything was super fresh and clean-looking. We got to eat there, and the food was wonderful. It was well cooked and prepared. They had someone coming in with a piano before we left, and they were singing in this little common area, so they were having a nice time there. We got to see all the common rooms, the beauty salon, and all those kinds of places, which were all nice and well-kept. They were very friendly. The dining area was nice. It had smaller tables with lots of space so that you could move around and be in certain areas. It was comfortable. The kitchen areas were bigger. The rooms were nice. There was the smallest studio, which seemed quite small to me, and then there was one bedroom that seemed fine. The bathrooms were really big and had plenty of room for a wheelchair to move around. They had a nice shower that you just walked right across. You didn't have a ledge to step over, so that was safe. We had a special menu, and we got to order what we wanted. They have different kinds of menus for everyday things."

"Valencia Commons was very nice and accommodating in taking care of what you need. It had a family atmosphere and had days where they will take residents to doctors' appointments with a shuttle service there. "
