"Westmont Village was definitely nice. There was plenty of parking. When you walked in, it was really beautiful. It was a very nice place. I would want to live there myself. The facilities were beautiful. The rooms were just newly remodeled, and my mom was able to get a large enough apartment that would have been perfect for her. The thing that stood out above all of the other things I looked at was that they had a four fold (instead of a three fold). It was mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual. None of the other ones had the spiritual aspect of it, and they have a chapel there. This fits our needs perfectly, and that's what really made me think that was the best place. The other thing was the price. It was reasonable compared to other places. They have enough parking for a family to come, park, and get in quickly. It's beautiful coming in and you feel welcomed. There's security, and we felt good. They also had a really nice facility for memory care, which my mom doesn't need. It's just a well-rounded facility. The only downside was that it's very far away from most people in the city of Riverside. Because it's out there a ways, that also makes it a nice secluded place. It's within a gated community, so you can't just get in. It's easy for family because you just press a button and tell them where you're going; they let you in the gate. I also looked at the menu, and they gave a really good variety. You could get a diet based on what your needs are. You could order off the menu. They had a little heart healthy and then the low sodium. They had those little symbols on there that let you know. It's just a nice and very thriving community. They even had homes outside of the facility that are like 55 plus, and a lot of the people are former military (which my mom is a surviving spouse of a vet). Everything about it was really nice."

"My father moved to The Camelot. It is a good place. They have three options every day for each meal. It is very clean and very inviting. They have a beautiful dining room to eat in. They have game areas, a gym, a library, and a chapel. Somebody comes into the apartment at least once a week to do light housekeeping. They have a lot of activities. They just did a Renaissance fair for Halloween. They also do happy hours and coffee time, and they play games. They have a van that works from 8 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon that takes the residents around the area to do grocery shopping or go to their bank or anything they need to do. They're available to take them during the day. So, the activities are great. The person who's in charge of it is very energetic. She tries to involve everybody, lets everybody know what they are getting ready to have, and encourages them to participate. They are very kind, very caring, and very helpful. Their rate is better than most places I checked because most places cited at least $3500 a month, and The Camelot is $2300 a month. You can either have a one bedroom or a single. They have their own space and it makes them feel like they're more independent even though they have the help they need."

"Atria provided such wonderful care and assistance to our Mom. The staff always gave her the attention she needed with a smile and a kind word. I can not say enough about how great they were for our family. Five stars is not enough. "

"We love it. It is very clean and very nice. It is also in a really good location. My mom and my step father have a private room. It is not huge, but is it a good size for them. Mom says most of the meals are very good. The dining area is pretty and spacious. They have a bunch of activities like bingo, going to the casino, cooking classes, arts and crafts, and bible studies. The staff has been very accommodating. "

"We moved my wife's grandmother in yesterday. The place is great. They have good amenities, a small library, food, transportation, and lots of events. The staff members are very friendly. Dining is restaurant-style. The apartment is spacious and large. They have a whole host of ever-changing events with weekly trips."

"My mother-in-law is back in Park Terrace. Her room has a garden view and is close to the beauty shop. The staff is very good and put her in a very nice situation, so she is very happy. There's a regular dining room and a bistro with several options for meals, and the food is very good. I will highly recommend it. "

"I found Mission Commons for my brother, and he is moving in there. My father was there ten years ago, so I am very familiar with it. Everybody is upbeat. There's always nice music going on. They have all kinds of activities. Anybody that is working there, they are all pleasant, they all are very helpful. The rooms are adequate, especially for assisted living. They had just enough room for everything that was needed. It was just typical, with a big window, kitchenette, big-size bathroom, and closet that could hold most things. The dining area is beautiful, very upbeat, very open, and bright. It's very nice. Everything is always clean. It's in a beautiful area. The scenery around it, you see the mountains, very open and very bright inside. It's a nice setting for people. They have vans that will take anybody to the stores, to church, and they can always help people get to places. They have a lot of craft teams that are working with them, they go in for classes, make things, and keep pretty busy."

"Corona RCFE was very nice, and the people were very friendly. The grounds were good. The room is perfect for my mother who is 92. She just needs a room with a little bed, a chair, and a TV. That's all she needs. It looks like she can go out and go to the dining room area, and things like that, and they have those things available too. The staff who helped me was very friendly and answered all the questions. She was very good. I didn't sample the food, but the dining area was fine. For activities, they have a little room where people can go and they can meet with each other and play games and so on, so that's fine."

"We really liked it. It was clean. They had a library. They do arts and crafts. They had a nice pond at the back. The rooms were nice. "

"My husband moved to MorningStar of Mission Viejo. The interior organization there, they communicate well with each other. The management style is excellent. They communicate well between each department, so it's a very soft touch, but they pay attention to the information about their clients. The facility is great. It's interesting. It's a small building. It's not one of the biggest, most extravagant buildings that I've seen, but the staff is great. The food is amazing. The food is excellent. They do a good job there. My husband is a little reserved. He's not quite interested in that part of things, but it looks like they have a lot going on. They have an outreach program where they're working with the Saddleback Emeritus programming, and they're introducing some classes at their facility through Emeritus."

"We toured Meridian At Laguna Hills. It seemed very friendly, the rooms were nice, and they gave a lot of options, which was nice too. They looked like they had a great dining area. In the apartment that we saw, appliances were provided. There was one small one with just a hot plate, so that didn't have appliances, but then there were a couple of others with a stove and oven. The staff was wonderful."

"Our experience being in The Oasis Community is very good and I've been here for 16 years. They're all single-family homes, independent living. It's a beautiful community that's gated so there's high security, and it's well-kept. The staff is very helpful, they do a good job. They don't provide any meals but there are lots of activities and lots of clubs and committees to volunteer on. They've got a beautiful swimming pool and tennis courts. There's a large clubhouse that's beautifully done, it's been redecorated in the last few years. There's also a gym, a library and a lot of available exercise classes. It's reasonable in terms of value for the money. It's in an attractive location, Menifee is a relatively small city, about 100,000 people, but it's growing quickly. There's lots of shopping very close by, so it's a very well situated location."
