"My husband was in a different facility in Hemet. After he was approved through Medi-cal with a shared cost I began looking for a different facility. I looked at the Village first and stopped looking. The whole process took about 2 weeks and he was moved immediately. The care is excellent. He does not get actual rehab but a rehab aide comes in 5 times a week and works with his legs and arms which the other facility does not offer. The food here is very good. I have nothing bad to say at all. When you go into his room it is very homey and warm. I am glad I found this great place. The staff, facility, food, and care is the best I have found. "

"I like that it had separate small cottages from the main building. They bring the food to the residents. The staff seemed young and really vibrant; I liked that they have a lot of energy. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the space was bigger. They had nice walk-in showers. The environment had a homey feel. I can't think of anything they can improve on."

"Brookdale Sunwest is perfect for my mother. The thing that sold us on Brookdale was that she could garden, because they have little plots and wood boxes. The place was neat and clean, and they had very spacious rooms. We like the affordability too. They have a movie room, a library, and I saw a couple of people in the dining room area; it wasn't packed. We also visited another community, but Brookdale Sunwest really fits Mom like a glove. The staff member who helped us during the tour was very friendly. I liked the fact that they had assisted living, and across the courtyard where they can do gardening is the independent living. They drive you to your appointments, or if they go on outings."

"We went to The Camelot. My mother-in-law liked the layout with the little gardens inside. We liked that it was a little more independent where the room had a little kitchenette, that she could cook if she wanted to, as well as having the provided meals. Having the pager in case she falls was a real plus for us because she has a falling tendency. They had a nice selection of crafts, and we saw some people who were doing adult coloring. They said they had poker games and Bridge games and all sorts of stuff. It seems like she would have a lot to do. We looked at the one-bedroom and the studio. They had a small library and it had books and magazines and then also videos. The staff during the tour was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and very patient with dealing with the questions from the three of us because my husband and my mother-in-law were both Facetiming in, and then I was there live. He was very accommodating, which also gives you a good feeling. As we were walking around, residents were walking around as well and he knew everyone onsite by name. It makes you feel like it's an inclusive area where they're going to get to know you. There were a couple of areas that looked kind of narrow for the wheelchair to get through."

"Atria Vintage Hills was really close to my house and I thought it was a really nice facility. It was very clean and the residents seemed very happy. We went there on a Sunday and the lady that usually showed people around was on a meeting. So, one of the nurses too us around and she was really nice. The staff was very helpful. We really liked them. We were able to see some of the rooms and they were really small. The dining room was really nice and they also had a library there. "

"I'll be at Altavita (Formerly known as Air Force Village West) in the next couple of days. We chose them because they have a good reputation. I used to live in this area, so I knew people that were there. The atmosphere was terrific. They helped me with everything that I needed. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The dining area was very clean and pleasant."

"My experience at Wellbrook was satisfactory. It was exceptional in one way where the residents were very cohesive and very group-oriented. They have pets, and I like how pets were involved in their therapy. They have yards for their pets and care for their pets, so it was unusual in that sense, but effective. The rooms were spacious. I ate there, and the food was good. It was different everyday. It had varied nutrients. They have field trips, games, and water aerobics. Security was very good too. "

"I toured The Grove Assisted Living. The environment and the people are very nice. They have a gym. The bathroom was maybe too small. When I go in, it will be difficult for me to turn around because I have a power chair. They don't have a rolling shower. So they have to change it if I need something like that."

"Estancia Del Sol was very nice and very well kept. The staff member was very friendly and very welcoming. Even the residents that live there were very friendly and very nice. It was a very nice place. They have both assisted and independent living. We saw two different types of apartments. It was very good. The rooms were a good size and were decorated nicely. One of the residents let us peek in her apartment, which was very nice. Of course my dad would think they're too small, but they're a pretty good size. The amenities were really nice. They had lots of activities. They had lots of areas where the residents could come together; it was really nice. They had everything. They had a happy hour area and a small ice cream parlor, which was really cute. They were great."

"I went there with the Girl Scouts. My daughter is a Girl Scout and they wanted to show how the elderly could be cared for in a special Alzheimer's unit that they have in Park Terrace. I thought it was very clean, nice, and comfortable, especially for the Alzheimer's patients. The staff were pretty friendly. The residents seem happy. "

"Everything seems to be good at Golden Oaks. My dad for some reason just liked the other place we saw a little bit better. The food is good, the rooms are clean, and the staff is very nice. They are pricey, but you pay for what you get. "

"I'm a resident of Mission Commons. It has been very nice here. However, the meals are a little bit close together, but trying to give three meals at a reasonable day is pretty tough. They have games and outings, go places, arrange shopping trips, and will take you to church or to the doctors. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. In the assisted living, they help with keeping up with your daily medications, laundry, showers, and will take your dog for a walk."

"It was really nice and pretty modern. My uncle would have loved going there. They had a veterans club and a lot of activities. I liked the rooms. They were very clean and open. I liked the staff, too. They were extremely nice. Then they had a dining area that was pretty big and pretty nice. They displayed the food that they were going to be serving for the next meal, which I think was great, so they could see what was in their selection."

"Corona RCFE was very nice, and the people were very friendly. The grounds were good. The room is perfect for my mother who is 92. She just needs a room with a little bed, a chair, and a TV. That's all she needs. It looks like she can go out and go to the dining room area, and things like that, and they have those things available too. The staff who helped me was very friendly and answered all the questions. She was very good. I didn't sample the food, but the dining area was fine. For activities, they have a little room where people can go and they can meet with each other and play games and so on, so that's fine."
