"Marymount Villa has very nice staff. They did have activities, and they are really nice as well. I didn't taste the food though. It was clean, and it was very friendly. The rooms are very spacious. I only got to see the shared room, and it was OK. It was very clean and accommodating. They have a very beautiful garden too. "

"Walnut Creek Care Home seemed nice. The staff was nice, too. My sister will have her own room with a wall and a sliding door to the outside. It's small, but it's a nice room and they allow cats. They only have six beds, so they don't have a lot of activities. Cleanliness seemed OK."

The rooms were nice, and you had a choice of different sizes. It was clean. They had a pool and nice outdoor grounds. It was on a busy street, but it had grounds at the back. They needed to improve on the food, but I thought they were working on it. "

"My friend is at The Heritage Downtown. It's excellent. It's a wonderful place. They're active seniors with lots to do. Good food. Very friendly people and very interesting residents. They have a restaurant onsite. The meals are part of her rent. She chose two meals a day. I have tried their food and it's excellent. There is a pool, a gym, a hair salon, a library, and a movie theater. They have a lot of activities."

The rooms were sufficient, clean, and well kept. The residents seemed very happy and engaged. We saw their dining area and some of the residents were eating while we were there. The food looked appetizing. What really impressed us was the level of activities that they had available every day and just the positive energy. It felt lively, and we really liked that. "

"I toured BridgePoint at Los Altos and I loved it. If they had had a transition to a memory care unit, I wouldn't have looked any further. That was my top choice. Unfortunately, it won't work for us. The grounds were beautiful. There were several areas for people to sit out and enjoy. The landscaping was lovely. The staff during the tour was wonderful. She understood that this was not going to be a solution for us, but she was certainly willing to show me around and give me the tour. I saw some social groups. I didn't see any organized activities, per se. The dining area was great. It was set up nicely for small groups of people to sit at their tables, and it just looked like a very nice place to be."

"Chateau Cupertino is more like an apartment building. My father can do what he wants, and it feels like less institutional. It’s very affordable, but it has everything, and he would just be more independent. It is very close to my house, it was very nice, and it was clean. The staff was nice, but the sales person wasn’t very bright. I could tell she wasn’t a great sales person. She seemed very nice, but she didn’t really answer my questions like some of the other places. This woman showed me everything, but she just didn’t have the same level of knowledge. The rooms were roomy -- even the studio apartment was roomy and bright with lots of sunrise. The dining room was a little dark, and they have assigned eating that was nice. It’s like a high school cafeteria. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. They have lots of activities; it seemed like it would be a very full day. The location is next to so much; there is a library two blocks away, shopping -- great location. "

"It was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen in my life. It was immaculate. The staff was pleasant and kind. I was there around Halloween time, so they were getting ready for a Halloween party. It was rich-looking. It was off the water, you could see the boats, and it had a nice view. Everything was just unbelievably breathtaking. The landscaping was very well-manicured. Everything was just in place, everything was beautiful. They had a garden area. The front of the building almost looked like a 5-star hotel. In the middle of the facility was the garden with beautiful flowers, plants, and trees where you could sit, with sun visors. The staff who assisted me with the tour was pleasant. She was in a rush to get the party started, but she was very professional. She had a beautiful smile and she was dressed properly."
