"We toured Watermark at San Ramon. It was very comprehensive and clean, and the person who toured the place with us was very knowledgeable. The food seemed okay because we ordered from the menu. The facility was a very well-run place, but it was not suitable for what we were looking for."

"We placed him at Danville Home because we felt that the place was safe inside. A nice lady gave us a tour of the whole place. They were cooking lunch, and it smelled good. It looks like the place is very good to live in. The room was small, but it’s adequate for him. "

"The staff and facilities were superb. The entire was well kept and the people there were very welcoming. When we visited, there was a pianist performing. The food there was healthy, but very good enough to eat that I wouldn't complain. The artwork in the building itself are quite beautiful. The staff was very kind to the residents and very kind to their visitors. They seemed quite organized and thoughtful in every way possible. The facility was very easy to find, but very small on the outside. Inside is a different story, it seems a lot larger. This, of course, resulted in my getting very lost seeing as I underestimated the building. It was very difficult for me to find my way around. But the staff were very courteous in helping me find my way. Every employee was very respectful to the Jewish history and also respectful to the tenants. I enjoyed my visit there a lot. "

"I toured Brookdale San Ramon, and what I liked the best is that my mom can be surrounded by other people and doesn't have to be alone. The rooms were beautiful. The one I looked at was the one-bedroom, and the bedroom itself has plenty of room for a queen-sized bed. It also had a view. It was real nice. Any questions that I had, the staff answered them. The staff was busy because they were moving and keeping things in order, but the staff was very friendly. I know my mom would love to play bingo, and they have that. They also have movie night and other game shows that they play. They also have exercise in the morning, that just keeps a person looking and feeling younger, and I know my mother would love that. I've seen the food, and I looked at the menu, and it looked good."

"My mom moved in two months ago. She really liked it, and it’s close to me. The facility is very clean, modern, and very beautiful. Every Thursday they do a rosary, which I thought was really unique and nice. She really loves the steak burrito and lentil soup."

"So far, my mom is really happy here. Everything is great. They're very friendly, cooperative, sweet, nice, and very helpful. It's like living in a nice hotel. It is nice and clean. The size of her room is just perfect. We had dinner last night and it was delicious. Everything was really good."

"I toured Bellara Senior Living. It was nice, very fancy. An experience that you want for anyone senior and transitioning into their later years. They have on-call nurses, and they have everything that you need there, you don't have to go out and get it, very much assisted. Everything is there all at once. You don't have to go anywhere. The staff was nice. They were very welcoming. They just wanted to get to know me and my family and make sure that if we were choosing that place, it would be the right place for us. It's a very new building. They had a bar. They had a bunch of seating areas. They had fancy bathrooms. They had a workout area. They had a whole courtyard where you could sit and talk and grill food. They had a beautiful kitchen that was restaurant-style."

"Sunrise of Danville was absolutely perfect. The only thing -- it was smaller. But everything else was just wonderful. It was very clean, and everybody was very nice. They took me on a tour and showed me everything, and I was pleased with what I saw. It seemed perfect for my needs. The staff treated me very well. Everybody was courteous, friendly, and helpful. "

"We went to see Brookdale Diablo Lodge and toured their assisted living for my mother. It was a positive experience. The residents there, as we were touring around, were friendly and said hello to her, which is nice since she's going to be rubbing elbows with them. The salespeople we were talking with worked with us a little bit because we told them about what our budget was. They were willing to work with us and make every effort to make sure that my mother could stay there and that it would be a viable option. It just felt very personal, it didn't feel like we were just a number. They were able to share their backgrounds with us as well, so we kind of got familiar with them, and they kind of got familiar with us. It felt not corporate, but more like they recognized my mother and they think she'll be a good fit in their community. They also made a big effort to call us back. It was helpful that they thought that she would be an asset to the community, that they wanted her, and that they thought she'd be a good fit. The rooms were roughly around 300 square feet, I guess they're usually categorized as studios. The upkeep of the place is good. We had also looked at that place a long time ago, maybe seven years ago, and my wife remembered the carpeting. This time, she said that the carpet looks better, so it seems like they've done some work. The room, too, looked like it had new flooring in the unit that my mother is going to be moving into. We also looked at the menu and the dining room. Everybody had smiles on their faces there, and nobody was vomiting or anything, so we thought it was going to be okay."

"I visited Fremont Hills and it looked like a wonderful facility. It was very nice. They have a memory care unit. The facility was lovely. The gentleman was very helpful and gave me a nice tour, answering all the questions that he could. The apartments they showed me were very nice and the sizes were nice. The facility was clean and modern, and it was very lovely. There was a calendar of activities and things all around showing the different activities that they have."

"Bethesda is a lovely place to live! The majestic redwood trees towers over this facility. As I walk down an isle in the garden that blooms with colorful roses, a bench in the garden to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Some residents there can plant their own vegetable garden or flower garden. On special occasions there are picnics outdoors. During Christmas time the trees are decorated with festive lights. Inside I've seen the residents there paint, play bingo, participate in singing activities. The residents there are content, and eat well. They are happy! There are pets allowed to roam around the facility, such as: birds, cats, and a fish tank. Occasionally the home will provide a large dog with its owner for a visit for the residents for social activities. Bethesda is fun and has a supportive environment. "

"I toured with RJ. She was very nice and knowledgeable. while touring the facility i was greeted by several staff along the way. What a great atmosphere. It felt like a family. The residents were in the activity parlor exersizing I couldn't believe how big the inside was. The apartments were also big. They have transportation and outings. I think my mom will be happy there. "

"The sanitation is clean, and the outside is older. Magnolia Garden is an older building, and it needs some repair. The rooms have been remodeled and are very nice. The staff is very caring; however, they are mostly men. They should try to get a few more women. My aunt is blind, so she doesn't participate in many activities. They have exercise programs and bingo. They have a piano player, and she gets up and does some dancing, but she doesn't participate in many of the games. The food leaves little to be desired. It's nutritional, but the food isn't the greatest. "
