"Alden Gardens of Waterford was a very good place. They were very professional. I visited the memory care unit, and they were very skilled at their approach to taking care of their residents. The rooms were very spacious, well kept up, the patients had a lot of privacy, and they're very nice. Most of them were private, and there were semi-private, but they're very big nice rooms. The grounds were very well kept up, and the place was one of the better ones around the area. "

"My mother moved into Sunnymere last year. My Aunt has lived there for 10 years, so we were familiar with the dedicated staff and quality of the facility. The grounds are beautiful with mature trees and a view of the Phillips Golf Course. My mother enjoys the view of the golf course and the flowers on Smith Boulevard on her daily walks. And, the food is great! "

"Jennings Terrace was an older place. It was not the newest and greatest facility, but I think they knew what they were doing, taking care of people. They're more economical. I've been there because friends of ours are living there, so we visited them. We ate there and my experience with them was positive. They facility just needed some upkeep."

She was very informative, extremely helpful, and respectful to my parents. She’s made the whole transition very easy. I really can’t recommend her enough. "Marian Village was beautiful and clean. We spoke to Elise and she was very helpful. She showed us around and we met some of the staff. It was a nice place. We were hoping to get my mom there, but assisted living was not for her. The one room that we saw was very nice and spacious. The eating area was very nice, too. The chapel was beautiful. You just got a calming sense when you walked in the door. There was a salon and an activities room. They were very friendly. Everything was very clean and looked brand new."

"We were very pleased with our visit at Monarch Landing. The surroundings were fine and we have no complaints whatsoever. This facility is one of our number one choices that we have. I like the environment as they have friendly people. They also have very good food. The apartment we saw was the kind of an apartment that we would like to live. "I toured Brookdale Lisle. It seemed very clean and well-run, but when I walked in, the whole entrance area was like a big circle filled with people in their walkers sitting there. The staff was very nice. The size of the room was a turnoff to me. I thought it was small."

"Bickford of Aurora was very new, nice, and very clean. The woman who took us around was very nice. The facility was great, and my brother-in-law was impressed. The dining area was fine. There were some people sitting watching television. They had a memory care unit, too."

"The cost in Victorian Village is much higher than any other place, because people in Homer Glen have problems with the water. They don't get the city water, but water from one person who controls the place. I saw the lobby and the dining room, it's a nice and comfortable place. The staff and the people I talked to there were super nice and wonderful. The place looked beautiful, was well-kept, and clean. They have porches in front of the building where you can sit. Patients with dementia and Alzheimer's live in small bungalows separate from the main building. They also have special care and special nurses. None of the other places have anything like that."

"A wonderful concept of providing care. Instead of being an institutional environment, it is a comfortable single-family home that has been designed for this purpose. My grandmother loved the fact that she lived in a single family home, with three other residents, while getting all the help that she needed. I would recommend Golden Age to anyone who is looking for a place that offers assisted living. Like they claim...at Golden Age you don't live in a home, you live at home."

"I went here. I was waiting 45 minutes past my appointment time to be seen. When I saw the person, he was in a hurry. So, he quickly gave me a folder and showed me a room, and that was it. He showed me a studio. It was open. It was nice, but that's all they showed me. It's modern. It was beautiful, including the grounds and the facility, and there were a lot of parking spots and handicapped spots. The staffing, wonderful nurses, and CNAs were friendly and attentive to the residents."
