My mom is a resident of StoryPoint Bolingbrook. It's been a good experience for her. We are coming up on two weeks for her and the transition is always hard, but everybody has been so wonderful and welcoming. It's like when you send your kids off to kindergarten and you hope they find friends. It has a welcoming, vibrant, lively, and good energy there. She has the little bit smaller one-bedroom unit, which is perfect for her in order for her to navigate her wheelchair throughout her apartment and still have some of her stuff, to make it feel like her home and not a transient thing. Her unit is lovely. It's got a lot of light in it. Everything is freshly painted, clean and welcoming. It is a lovely place to be. She's participated in the bingo and the youth ministry. They had kids come in from a local church, St. John the Baptist in Crest Hill, and they did an activity, and she went to that. They have the rosary and the communion service on Thursday, which she absolutely loves. She's gone out to dinner and breakfast. This morning, they went to Taco Bell. It's been really a good thing. There's always so much apprehension for us as her children and for her that we've made a good decision and it's nice to know that everybody is wanting to be there and wanting to help. The one thing that really struck me the first day that we brought mom there, my husband and I stayed there for dinner and we were sitting with two other gentlemen, the waiter came over and he knew their names. This past Wednesday, mom was going to eat dinner so I went with her and the same waiter came back and he's like, "What do you want today?" The person serving them is doing the job, and he is not just flapping food out there. He's interacting with them.

I am a resident of StoryPoint Bolingbrook. The building is primarily assisted living, but I live independently. I find the community to be very caring and consistent. Many of the staff have been here since I moved in over a year ago. There hasn't been a lot of turnover, with the care staff, the administrative staff, and the wait staff. They're all wonderful, friendly people that do a good job and I appreciate that a lot. I have a spacious apartment that I enjoy very much. The food is good. I enjoy the food and it's varied and tasty, sometimes better than others, but for the most part, good. The building is attractive and well maintained. I still drive, so I have a parking place that's close to the building. They provide activities and crafts. A group of friends and I tend to play a lot of Rummikub, but there are lots of other games that are available to us should we decide. They do a happy hour once a week, and many times with that, they'll bring in a musician for entertaining. They'll take trips out for meals. They take the residents shopping to local stores and meals out. They do occasional trips to things like the zoo, museums, or interesting places, that sort of thing. They have a library. We have a local library that comes every two weeks and brings books for the residents. We have a great room that has a lot of chairs that we can gather and the lobby is beautiful. It has a very high ceiling. We have a bistro off of the lobby. We often have special meals and food available in the bistro and a large dining room that we have for meals, happy hour and special meetings. We have a game room and a larger gathering room, like today we're doing bocce ball in this larger game room.

From the first day that my son took me here at StoryPoint Bolingbrook and it's a year and a half already, I loved it. It's only two stories high. Everybody here is wonderful. The residents are really nice and the staff is really terrific. They do a really great job. They cater to everyone's needs. There's a lot of activities if you want to participate or not. The place is always clean and neat, and the food is good. Everything about this place is wonderful. I have just a one-room apartment and it has a small kitchen with a refrigerator and a microwave and lots of closet space. It has a nice-sized bathroom and it's very comfortable. It's more room than I need. It holds a lot of things. We're always making things and hanging them up or putting them against the window. It's really a great place. It's beautiful. It's not very big, so everybody gets to know everybody. When you meet people in the hall, you always say, hello, how are you? The staff is nice. It's very comfortable here. It's a good value. There's a lot of nice people here.

I'm a current resident of StoryPoint Bolingbrook. Under the leadership of Daniel, the executive director, the community is exceptionally well managed. The overall service provided by top management and line staff across various departments is outstanding. During my initial days at StoryPoint, I experienced a sense of warmth and belonging. The staff is courteous, helpful, friendly and supportive all throughout. I see evidence of the facility's sincere dedication to wellness and caregiving, providing the ideal retirement lifestyle I seek. I therefore highly recommend StoryPoint to my colleagues, family, and friends. I really enjoy staying here. I was in a two-bedroom when I started, and then I decided to go to a one-bedroom because it's too big for me. The place is clean. They clean my room. The food is good. There's nothing I can complain about. Everybody is nice here. It makes me feel at home. They're very accommodating like when I have visitors come to visit me. We have a bistro where there are free snacks. The staff is really good. The activity department, maintenance department, and nursing department are really good. When I asked them to reserve a room for me because we had to play mahjong, they reserved it, and they didn't mind even if we played all day long. It's a very friendly place. It's very customer-oriented. It's like home. It is beautiful. I enjoy the food a lot. I would just love to have it a little cheaper.

I am in StoryPoint Bolingbrook. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The food is wonderful and there are many activities that we get to do and outings. The staff is very helpful. Sometimes, a resident will remind you of something, like a game that we're going to play. I have one of the smaller rooms, but it's not really small. We have a refrigerator and a microwave. There's plenty of room. I'm in a motorized chair, and I have no problem getting around. The shower is very convenient. I have a nice big closet. We have a beautiful patio and a nice lobby and entrance. It's very inviting. We also have a deck we can go out. I'm very happy with everything. We have a nice food variety we can choose from. It's very clean and very bright. My daughter takes care of the rent, but to me whatever she's paying is worth it.

The rooms are lovely but the staff is even better. They make the residents and visitors feel like they are at home. My aunt loves it there and there are plenty of things for her to do. We are so glad we chose StoryPoint.

I've been a resident of StoryPoint Bolingbrook for over a year now. I'm very pleased with it. I like where it's placed. They allow me to have my little dog here and it's surrounded on one side by a park. I feel comfortable here. It's not like a city. Across the street is a church and there are stores. I can still go and get the things I need without having to have somebody come and take me in a car. I don't feel like I'm in the middle of a great big area that's just full of cars. It's a very comfortable place to live. I take my dog for a walk and it's nice to be able to get outside. I have a little garden club here and they let me do that. I have flowers and that's nice, too. I have a big bedroom and another room, which is twice as big as the bedroom because it's a kitchen and then a TV room. It's got a sofa and a TV and then there's a divider with a sink in it, and then a stove and a refrigerator. It's almost like three rooms. I love the staff. The staff is very, very nice. I can't walk, but I also have a lot of pain and I have to take a lot a medicine, and I have never had such caring people take care of me. They come whenever you ask. They take care of my medicine. Everybody has a call button on that they can wear. It opens your door and it also calls for help and they come immediately. I really, really like the girl that's in charge of all the nurses and people that help. She's an amazing person. She does a wonderful job of having this coordinated. They have a very good staff here. They have this man who is in charge of the bistro and he makes all these wonderful recipes for great food. It's not just cafeteria food. It's beautiful, it's good, and it's so different. You would pay a lot of money if you went into a restaurant and bought this kind of food. They do little things like that, and for different holidays, they do a lot of things. It's a nice place. There's a lot of food that I can't eat and they have a lot of choices. I don't have to eat everything. You don't just have one thing to pick from. The food is really good because you've got an option. The personnel are the most important thing about this place. The people that are taking care of the housecleaning know your name. I was so amazed. They know my dog's name. They call you by your name and they make you feel very wanted. They make you very comfortable from the day you walk in the door. I've never seen anything like that. They take good care of you and if you have something that is bothering you, you can go and ask them about it without thinking that it's gonna make people upset. You know that they will understand what you're talking about. It's very nice and very clean. There's a lot of activities going on. People can come and go in and play games. I'm going to go and play poker tonight. I've been doing artwork here, like oil painting, and it's really nice. There's a variety of different things that you can do. You don't have to do everything. You can choose what you want to do. It costs a lot of money for anything that you do. However, it isn't more than what I would have paid to live in my home.

We are new to Story Point Bolingbrook since mom moved in a week ago; however, we are very happy with our choice. Having visited other facilities in the area, I would like to suggest a few things for you to consider when doing your own tours. In addition to the usual checkbox items for safety, cleanliness, dietary options and socialization opportunities, which Story Point handles very well, we find ourselves thankful for the layout of the building. Going from a single-family home to a larger facility can be overwhelming. The layout at Story Point clusters frequent destinations like dining, game room, exercise room and outdoor access all near the elevators in the center of the building. Going from mom’s apartment to any of these areas is one hallway turn; she can quickly tell she is heading in the right direction. I didn’t consider this during the tour, but in retrospect, some of the other facilities were more meandering and I expect my mom would either be lost or intimidated to the point of staying in her room more. Special shoutout to the front desk staff who are very welcoming to residents and visitors alike.

My wife and I resided here in StoryPoint Bolingbrook, but my wife died. So I am here by myself now. Dan, the executive director, and Dina, the sales director, were incredibly helpful and understanding during that time for my family and myself. Once we moved in, that positive experience continued through the assistance, understanding, care, and love exhibited by the entire staff. This was especially true during my wife's final days. I managed and developed shopping malls across the country for almost 25 years. I say that to underscore my level of knowledge and appreciation of facility construction and maintenance. In this regard, StoryPoint gets the highest marks in all respects, considering the appearance of the physical property, the building and furnishings and most importantly, the cleanliness. I don't mean to leave out any one of the incredible nursing and caregiver staff. They're fabulous, but I have to give special recognition to Miss Jojo and her great dining room staff and the extremely talented and inventive chefs controlling the kitchen. Three meals a day, seven days a week is a daunting task, especially given the incredibly diverse taste in cuisine that the clientele here bring to the table. In my opinion, they put the ball on goal nearly every time. StoryPoint is tops, in my opinion and experience, in just about every phase of the arena of senior citizen living and caring for people with continuing problems as they age. I have a two-bedroom apartment that eventually I would downsize. My wife was very involved in some of the arts and crafts. She used the exercise facility. They did physical therapy there. My main participation is in walking and enjoying the other residents here. The meals are wonderful. There is plenty of activities, as many as you want or as many as you don't want. The staff is wonderful. I haven't run into anybody who I didn't think had the best interest of all the residents at heart, very caring, very responsive to the people's needs, and extremely friendly. I've not run across a sour face yet. The food is amazingly tasty, amazingly well done, well prepared, and well served. This place is in great shape. Based on the inspection that my family and I did before we moved here, I think this is one of the highest values that we could find in terms of what they offered versus the cost.

StoryPoint Bolingbrook was very nice, but the StoryPoint where I am is better as far as size was concerned and things to offer within the size. We were looking at a one-bedroom, but they had other layouts. It would be a four or a five for maintenance, for cleaning up and looking good and that type of thing. The staff was very cordial. The ones that we come in contact with work hard.

I love the convenience of having local stores, churches, and banks nearby. After 20 years in Bolingbrook, I’ve been able to maintain old friendships while making new ones. The resident gym helps us stay active and healthy, and the management team is always professional and accommodating. I also appreciate the reliable transportation for non-drivers and the competitive leasing options without long-term commitments. StoryPoint Bolingbrook truly stands out as the best!

My mother lived at StoryPoint Bolingbrook for a good year and a half. Her room had a little kitchenette and a large bathroom that could accommodate wheelchairs. They give them the LifeAlert thing. My mother is wheelchair-bound, and they come and get her and take her to the dining room. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the dining room. They have some activities for them. The staff was super nice. If you need help going to the bathroom or anything like that, all you have to do is ring your little bell, and they will come and assist you with anything. My mom doesn't participate in activities. But they do a lot of arts and crafts. I also saw an exercise room. They have an outside area for them to sit when it's nice. They have movies and things like that. However, they're not accommodating to vegetarians, and my mom does not eat. I feel like they really could do better with what they give her.

The StoryPoint community is very welcoming. The apartments are spacious and well-appointed. The on-site restaurant is very nice with many different dining options. The social activities for the residents are top-notch. I have interacted with almost all of the staff, including the CNAs, RNs, front desk staff, office staff and the building maintenance guys over the past 3 years that my mom has been a resident. I have not had any bad encounters in this time. Everyone has been super supportive!!!

My Mom is very happy at StoryPoint Bolingbrook. She has been a resident for 3 years. All staff are incredibly friendly, professional, and personable. We are very happy with the nursing staff who have built genuine friendships with Mom as they proactively keep an eye on her and manage her needs. Executive Director Dan is very thoughtful and shows great communication with getting to know and working with families to ensure their needs are met. He is kind and a pleasure to work with. The rooms are clean, the food is good (I have dined with Mom for many meals), and there are tons of activities offered daily. We have truly found a home at StoryPoint!

We toured here and liked it since it had what I think we could probably use someday. The staff who accommodated me was Renee, and she did a good job. The units were small apartments. There were a variety of apartments. The building is five years old. They were on top of the list.

We toured here for my mom. It was a very good tour. The salesperson was very good. She showed us all the memory care areas and all the common areas, and she went through and explained everything. It was very clear and concise. We had a pleasant visit. The rooms are awesome, everything was topnotch. The room was beautiful, laid out, and you could tell it looked like it would be very comfortable for a loved one. The living atmosphere was very, very pleasant, happy. It looked like someplace where you would want to live. We saw the menu. It looked very good and looked like some meal choices. In the kitchen area we saw the chef and everything looked professional; a professional atmosphere. They had an eating area for the people. It looked like they were building a little gingerbread house, and a couple of the ladies were doing the work, and the other people were kind of like sitting around watching and maybe making suggestions on the build. And I noticed there was an area where they had little puzzles and games, things to interact with. It was just impeccable. It looked like a storybook thing. And the decorations for Christmas and things like that. The displays of the family, they had these columns with pictures of the room where the rooms were, where they had the personal pictures of their family they could bring in, and it's out in the hallway. So it's very, very family oriented.

It is a very luxurious place. It reminds me of a very nice hotel. I went to see their memory care and the staff who assisted me was very experienced and very knowledgeable. It's a new facility, it's about 3 years old and it's very clean and luxurious. They have several recreational rooms for the seniors. They have a selection of rooms and I think the studio apartments were pretty nice and everything is pretty new.

It was very clean and modern. It seemed almost like a fancy hotel. They offered if we wanted to come back and try a meal there. My dad had pretty much decided at that point. He was leaning towards another place, so we didn't have a more extensive visit.

My dad moved into here. It's close to home and the staff is very friendly and courteous. It's very clean, and it's only 5 years old so it's fairly new. What I liked was that the CNA's came to introduce themselves so I was very pleased with the reception they gave him. His room is very nice, very clean and it's right by this big window. Everything that he needs to become more self-sufficient is there. The location is right up the main street and the main expressway. There's plenty of parking so I can't say anything bad about it. We also tried the food and it was good. Right now, he's in quarantine for the first couple of days so he's not participated in any activities yet.

Our experience with having my dad here is great. The people are outstanding. We chose this community because of a number of different facets like the cleanliness, people there are welcoming, their new facilities, and they give physical and occupational therapy. Their food is very good, I have eaten there a couple of times and it's outstanding. There are multiple activities every day, too.
