"First off, you have to know that my brother, who is a current resident of Harbor Chase Naperville, could have played one of the starring roles in the movie "Grumpy Old Men". He came to Harbor Chase just over a week ago. But here his complaints have been very minor and once the quarantine is lifted, I'll bet his disposition will improve to a great degree. He raves about the food and would like the opportunity to explore the facilities. I have had occasion to make contact with the staff frequently due to trying to get assistance from the VA and,on the rare instance when I had to leave a message, my call was promptly returned. If I ever have the need to make use of such a facility for myself, I hope Harbor Chase has room for me."

"This facility has been wonderful to my mother. She has lived there since 2013 and has enjoyed every minute. I live in Clarendon Hills, so I visit often. Her care giver knows her well and also knows me well. This makes such a difference to me. I would recommend Sunrise of Willowbrook to anyone! "

"My mom is at Brighton Gardens of Wheaton. Everybody is very nice. They take good care of her. It is a clean place. Her room is very nice and clean. There is enough room for her. They have games, crafts, singing, exercise, and trips. The facility seems very well secured. I think everything is OK. I can't think of something to be better because my mother has been very happy there. The food is good. The dining room is very nice. They have flowers on the table and tablecloths. They have very nice dishes. "

"My brother moved in. Their community is great. Everyone is friendly, from the staff to the residents. The nurses, CNAs, and everyone are just fantastic. He's got a nice room. It's a nice size for him, but I wish it were a little bit bigger (I guess that's just me). I would prefer that it were a little bit bigger and that it had more of a kitchen-type layout. It has a cabinet area and a countertop, and he can put his microwave there, but I wish there was a sink where he can wash some little dishes if he has some. Overall, it's still a nice room. He has been participating in some of their activities. I know he plays bingo, and then they've had movie nights (he goes to that). They have little events sometimes, and they have one coming up soon at the end of this month on the 26th. They are going to have an event where families can come and stuff like that, which is good. I don't think he likes the food. He's picky. He wants to eat what he wants to eat. He is diabetic too, so he doesn't care for the food. He has no choice, though, but I think it's delicious. Not that I've eaten any, but I can tell when the cook/the chef puts it out, it looks good and smells good to me. I know that there are other elderly people there who have to be cared for and can't control themselves. They have to go to the bathroom and stuff like that, and so it feels like every time I'm walking to go down to my brother's hall to go to his room, it reeks of urine. You can just smell it, and I don't know if that's because they haven't cleaned, or maybe when I come, there's nobody there to clean it. During the week, I couldn't smell it, but definitely when I go on Saturday mornings or Sunday, I can smell it as soon as I come in the door."

"What a wonderful place! Carole and Theresa were so caring and compassionate. They gave us so much information, answered all our questions and spent as much time with us as we needed. Everyone we met was considerate and positive. The facility is lovely and sparkling clean. If the need arises, I would feel confident my loved one would be well-cared for here."

"We chose Marian Village because of location, the 2-bedroom apartment available was very beautiful and of right size and it had a good location in the building, and we liked that we wouldn't have to cook anymore. We could have dinner there, but we have a full kitchen and we can cook if we want. The place is beautiful, well run, and very clean. The people are very friendly, and they have a lot of good activities, both on-site and offsite. It is a Catholic organization and it has a beautiful chapel, and we are Catholics. We were very well treated and the lunch we had was very good."

"Victorian Village is a very nice place. The staff is friendly. They're open and upfront and very helpful in the decision process. It's a nice, well-maintained facility that has a full set of amenities. The staff seems to be working well with each other. The place is clean, well maintained, and in a good neighborhood. We overall had a very good experience with them. It's in a very nice location, which is in the nice suburb of Chicago, close to two hospitals and the expressway. It's an 18-acre facility and the grounds are well maintained with parking for visitors. I didn't see any issues in the four units that I visited, in the hallways, in the public spaces, and in the dining room. It looks very good."

"My husband and I research 6 different multi-level care communities. Our decision to come to Monarch Landing had to do with their care plans, the location, the beautiful well-maintained campus, indoor parking, indoor pool, but MOST OF ALL, the staff and residents who are so very friendly and helpful. We do not regret our decision one bit. We do not miss our previous home and all the work that came with it. We are both in our early 70's and are so happy we made our decision early enough to adapt easily and to enjoy many of the amenities that are offered. We are both very active and enjoy the pickleball group, the pool/water volleyball and using fitness center. Our grandkids nearby love to come eat in the cafe with us and swim at the pool. We participate in other things as well. We love the unit we are living it. It is light and bright and we are happy to call Monarch Landing "Our Home.""

"Our tour at Lexington Square of Lombard was nice. The gentleman actually contacted me, and he was very helpful. We met and talked about my mom. Then he took me on a tour of the entire place, specifically the assisted living floor. We saw the dining room and the amenities. We toured the whole place, and it was very nice. The facility was very nice, very fancy, very clean, and very welcoming. All the employees were very nice, I really like the place. It is very nice. The location was good because it was close to my house, so that's one of the reasons I chose to go view the place. He took me to a couple of different rooms: a 1-bedroom and a studio. They were very nice rooms. They had extra curricular activities for them and a beauty shop. There was a special room that you can rent if you wanted to have a party and have your family. They have bus trips and various other things for them to keep them busy."

"My brother moved into Alden Courts of Waterford and he's very happy there. The nursing staff is very kind and understanding and willing to accommodate. The room is very large and very, very clean. They have social time, and until COVID came, he could come and go whenever he wanted to. He likes the food, plus he is younger and still a big eater, and he gets double what the other residents get. The facility is comfortable, clean, and welcoming. Security is very good."

"My mother has been at Terra Vista for just over a year. They provide meaningful activities for the residents every day, and we receive pictures of her participating. In warm weather the courtyard is the place to be. It's large and beautifully landscaped, and we enjoy taking a stroll or just sitting and listening to the wind chimes and watching the mother duck and her ducklings waddling around . The caregivers and staff are great."

"I toured. It was clean. One of the families was in the bingo room and her mom, so we could look at her room. They took us through the ladies room, and it looked homey in there. The family had done a nice job at setting that up. Everybody there was super friendly, super nice, especially the one who showed us around. She was just a sweetheart. The layout looked good and it didn't feel like a nursing home."
