My father is in Lombard Place Assisted Living & Memory Care. It seems like a decent place, and the staff seemed nice and amiable. They try to be helpful, and the environment seems OK based on the three days that he has been there. He has a studio-type room, but they do have a variety of rooms. I know they have activities, they have a nice dining room, and it's a modern facility. They have a library, a bistro area (which is not open now because of COVID), and an atrium area where you can sit. They have inside activities. I saw that they had people gathered together, but so far they have no COVID cases there. They are continuing activities. They have a pretty lengthy contract -- it's 100 pages long -- and so far they tend to strictly enforce it. I'm a little bit concerned about that part of it.

We toured Lombard Place Assisted Living & Memory Care. It was very nice. I was very impressed. It reminded me of a hotel or an apartment hotel because they had mailboxes downstairs for the individual patients and you could have your spouse live with you as well. They had 1 or 2-bedroom apartments. I like the cleanliness of it. It didn't smell like a nursing home or even an assisted living place because I've been to those and they do have a distinctive smell. I like the big porches and the apartments. I liked the personnel that were there. She showed my daughter and me around. She was very nice. She took us to every floor telling us this was a library. The dining room was very pleasantly set up for supper and I liked the cohesiveness of the establishment there. They have a cocktail hour in the evening for the patrons there, which is very nice and that was something that came along with your room payment. I like the fact that you have a washer and dryer in the unit so that if you have a husband or wife who has bed problems, you can wash your sheets without waiting for somebody else to collect them. They did have a little kitchen there, which was nice, the microwave so that if you had leftovers from a restaurant, you could heat them up. Then you had a pantry. You had enough space in there for your linens and your clothing and stuff. I enjoyed looking at that. It was nicely presented. I like the fact that they don't have the hanging air conditioning. They had the central air, they had central heat that you control from each room. They had a hot call button for the assisted living places if you needed a nurse or you needed a doctor. They do have on-staff at the place. The facilities were very impressive. Also, the menu was very impressive. The people had a selection of three different entrees which was nice.

Beware. LP will low-ball a price to get you in the door, and, without warning or notice, will instantly start raising the, quote, level of care needed in order to justify rate increases. My mom's been there for 60 days and I just received not just a rate increase, but a retroactive rate increase to her stay only after 30 days there. It's Deceptive Practices. My mom's condition had not changed within 30 days of living there. Other than their bait and switch, the care staff are great and the food is good.

My mother lived there for 5 years. At first it was good but it's gone down hill the past year and a half. We were constantly asking that my mother's room be cleaned. We even had pictures of her soiled bed and dirty toilet. It took months to get the toilet cleaned. The only good thing about this place was Pam and GiGi at the front desk and Amy the head nurse. They would try to help us but the administration is constantly changing there and they are not interested in helping or addressing any concerns. They said they would call us back but never would. It's a pretty place but it's too bad they can't find good people to run it.

Lombard Place is close to my house. It was our first choice, but they were a little bit expensive. I like them. The rooms were very modern and very nice. They also showed us the rooms in memory care, but they were much smaller. I like that they have a nice room if the family wants to come and spend time with the residents. They also have an onsite beauty parlor in the place. The inside was really nice. The dining area was nice. They had nice menu and the menu looked pretty versatile. The place was nice. It was a beautiful, new building. Everything was current. The staff member I met was very helpful and responsive. In fact, one lady kept in touch with me for two years.

Beautiful atmosphere, loving staff and caregivers, excellent meals and wonderful activities. Lombard Place is not your typical assisted apartment style living for seniors. My mom was in the memory care unit and was treated with kindness, respect, and lots of hugs. I couldn't rave more about the staff at Lombard Place and, without hesitation, I give it a 5 star rating!

My brother-in-law said the staff at Lombard Place is exceptionally kind to him which is very important. He seems more alert and happier, and he’s been smiling a little bit. We were overall very pleased. The building is one year old, everything is nice and new. He has a room by himself with a large bathroom and a bedroom size room. There are different social rooms where families can get together and talk with him, a nice large dining room, and a lot of activities.

We have toured Lombard Place. It is very pretty, and they considerably have more activities. It is very nicely appointed. The downside is that it is on a busy street, so the small sitting area that they have has a lot of traffic noise. But again, it is a very well maintained brand new community. It is nicely decorated. The hallways are wide. Both the studio and the 1-bedroom with the kitchenette that we toured were very nice. The bathrooms were exceptional. They were well appointed for someone with mobility issues. There were washers-dryers in the units -- which is a really nice perk. However, my mother needs something more closer to a skilled nursing. But they did have quite a lot of activities. They have happy hour at night, they have book and gardening clubs, they have magic shows, and they have a hair salon.

Lombard Place was small, clean, and new. The people were friendly. They took me on a tour without an appointment. They had a gardening center. They had trips out to local activities in the area. They had choir. They had a lot of choices of activities. The staff is very thorough, very sympathetic, very knowledgeable, caring, and honest. They would take them to their doctor’s appointments within the five-mile radius.

I visited Lombard Place. I did not like it at all, partly because it was brand new, and I did not really like the staff there. I had an appointment, and they were not available when I was there, so somebody else showed me around. I just did not get a warm feeling; however, the environment was very clean, very beautiful, and brand new.

I lived 3 blocks from Lombard Place. It was very clean and very well organized. The staff assisted in every way they could. The rooms are ample and spacious, and it’s either studio, one bedroom, or two bedrooms. They have games and crafts. The dining area was clean, big, roomy, and well-kept.

My father-in-law has chosen Lombard Place. He signed a lease there, and we're starting to move some of his furniture in. It is a brand new place. The building is brand new. As a matter of fact, he will be the first one in the unit that he is going into. The finishes were nice, clean, modern, and up-to-date. The only thing I saw that would be a problem for someone in a wheelchair was the type of carpet they chose to use in the unit themselves because the carpet is plush and it has heavy padding. Otherwise, it is a nice place.
