We visited the independent living community of Trulee Evanston, and the facility was new and beautiful. The dining areas and facilities were large and accommodating, so it's the most outstanding thing. The gentleman who took us around was good. We were a little shocked at some of the prices, but he took us to some apartments, and they were very nice, obviously, because it's brand new. They had independent living, assisted living, and memory care, and I think we saw more people in memory care and assisted living than we did in independent living. We didn't see a lot of people coming and going, and it didn't have all of the facilities that I wanted. Even though it was new, it did not have a pool. The structure was great, but inside, when we went to the exercise room, for instance, there were just two bikes or something. We were wondering where the rest of it was. The thing that they have that I haven't seen at any other place is the hair place. They have a really large room for hairstyling and nails. The rooms we saw weren't any larger or smaller than the other places we went to, but the rooms here were equipped with the most modern equipment, like the microwave and such. It was top of the line in terms of the way the apartment was laid out. We also tried the food, and they had a very nice assortment of different kinds of food that you could have for lunch. They had low calorie, low salt, and just everything. I think they have three dining rooms too. The food was very good. It was a gentleman who took us around, and we actually learned from him what they meant when they said community fee. He told us that it was $10,000, so it was a shocking introduction to the community fee, and that was the highest of any place that we've seen.
