I really appreciate the location of Avidor Evanston. I was looking for something more urban, and so Evanston is a great little city right outside Chicago. I have researched many places that were more stand-alone in that they were geographically separate from things, but its location is great. You walk out the front door, and you can walk to everything. I have a one-bedroom with a den. They have several one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms. Each apartment has a full-sized kitchen. They offer continental breakfast, I think, three times a week, but that's it. There are different activities every day depending on what the residents like. There's a fitness center here, and there are various classes there. There are card clubs, a poker group, a mahjong group, and book clubs. There are all kinds of different things for different interests. Some residents do everything, and some residents do nothing. Some people are still working, and some are retired. It's really a wide variety. This is an apartment complex with an age restriction, but there are a lot of things to do.

My brother is at Avidor Evanston. The staff is very professional, friendly, and engaging whenever we go in. I like that they always have somebody at the front desk all the time, 24 hours a day. During the day, people can walk in, and then during certain hours, they've got a buzz to get in. So, the security is good in the building. The staff has been very good and the residents seem to be very, very friendly as well. The facility is very clean and modern. They have free coffee and tea throughout the day as well as a little snack bar. There are nice meeting facilities and two gyms (one with aerobic equipment, the other with stretching and yoga equipment). They have movie night once a week, they've got a book club, a little happy hour on Thursday nights where people just meet, a rooftop patio with a swimming pool, and a party room upstairs that you can use for events. So, there are a lot of social activities to keep people together.
