I went to see Orion Star Personal Care Home assisted living. As I drove up, I just didn't feel like the property was being kept up. It was very dated. It just seemed like there was no money going back into the upkeep and stuff of the property itself. The apartments were very, very tiny. A twin-size bed is pretty much going to fill up the room then the resident doesn't have a whole lot of room left for any other personal items. It was just very bleak. They don't have amenities, it's a personal care home so they don't have any. There was just one room that had a TV and I didn't know if they had arts and crafts or anything. They just don't have the amenities that a larger facility has. No activities were going on, either. I felt as though someone had brought those people there, dropped them off, and forgot about them.

Orion Star Personal Care Home is beautiful, extremely clean and neat, and very homey. The director is exceptional and outstanding. They care for your family like their own family. I'm so glad I found them for my mother.
