"My mother-in-law is at Addington Place of East Lake now. Our experience thus far has been excellent. It has only been a couple of weeks, but we found them to be very accommodating and compassionate towards her. So far, we have been very impressed with the level of service and care that she is receiving. She seems to be adjusting well, she is making friends, and the meals have been excellent for her. It has been a very comfortable environment for her. I would highly recommend them. They have different games they play that are done to promote health, like hitting balloons and doing things like that. My mother-in-law has also enjoyed playing bingo, which she has done a couple of times, and they have a walking club that she has been doing, as well. Those were the primary things that have been good to her."

"It is a beautiful community and unlike any other assisted living I have ever been to. As you walk through the halls the employees are SO friendly and all introduce themselves and tell you a little bit about them. I have visited others and people will smile and wave, but at Brookdale Tarpon Springs they all really cared to hear who I was and what I was looking for in an assisted living. The community is bright and smells amazing there is always some treats there from pop corn to cookies in the front lobby! People are all so happy and stay active, the residents families all have smiles on their faces and must love the place their loved ones call home!"

"Vitality Living Baypoint Village is a very homey atmosphere. It kind of has a rustic dining room. The staff is very, very friendly. My husband loves the food. I have to cut him back on how much he eats so he doesn't gain weight. We actually first moved him into a studio, which is like maybe a 13 by 13 bedroom with a separate bathroom. He is a large man, so he thought it was a little cramped for him. Plus, he needs the assistance of aides to get him up into his wheelchair and dressing at that. After a week, I moved him into a studio deluxe, which is quite a bit bigger, has a walk-in closet, and it has a kitchen with full refrigerator, countertops, and all that. You can bring over beverages. They don't really want you cooking there and burning the place down, but you've got a little more flexibility bringing in sodas, water, and snacks that you can put in the refrigerator and that. So that was a big plus. When I moved him in, I told them, he could stand and transfer but he needs two aides to help get up out of bed into the chair and chair into the toilet, but they have not always sent two aides, so then they have to call a second aide, or sometimes he's had to wait more than five or ten minutes. There's been a few times where it's been longer than that, so they're working on it. The staff is very friendly. They've gone out of their way setting up his TV and helping us move into the different unit. Everybody seems to be very upbeat, positive, and helpful. They have people with music coming in probably once a week. They have a little happy hour. They do miniature pin bowling. They have morning exercises. They have a walking group. They play various versions of bingo. They play poker. They have outside activities where a van will take those wanting to go to a local restaurant for lunch and that sort of thing. They have plenty of activities. My husband hasn't participated in much yet because I'm still getting him adjusted. They have a swimming pool with outside tables. They have like an enclosed screened porch where they can go out and visit on days like today when it's 75 degrees outside. They have a front porch area where you can probably have 15 residents sitting out there just chatting."

"I liked Coral Oaks. It's very nice. The rooms were very spacious, very pretty, very bright, and very clean. They have everything. They have a gym. They have a pool. They have a screening room. It looked spotless. It is close to a little shopping center, it's close to Publix, there's a crafts store and a shoe store very close by."

"We've chosen the Stratford Court of Palm Harbor for my aunt. She moved in over the weekend. The staff is very friendly. The food is good. They have bingo, shopping, they have all sorts of activities."

"I am a daughter of a resident who has been at Vitality in Hudson for a year. The facility is fantastic and I am so grateful we found this place for our dad. The rooms are clean, bright and many have lovely views; the complex is on a lovely swath of land that is private, quiet and serene. The staff is friendly, caring and prompt with service, and management is extremely responsive, and communicative and seems determined to address any concerns. The staff is very attentive to residents' needs, calling on them if they are not at dinner at their usual time, as an example, to make sure they are ok. There are wonderful gatherings on a frequent basis that bring residents together, and there are also many activities (games, bingo, modified bowling, bible studies, social hours, etc.) that seem to be a lot of fun. Our father has so many new friends, we are overjoyed. His room is impeccably maintained (the floor is always vacuumed; the other day it was steam cleaned) and we know help is always a moment away. I could not recommend Vitality Hudson more highly. "

"I liked Curlew Care and the staff. They’re very friendly and efficient. The room is very nice. My dad likes the food; it tastes really good. "

"Angels Senior Living at the Lodges of Idlewild was nice and new. The layout was nice. It just wasn't for me. I can basically take care of myself and it's more for older people that need more help. It looked clean, but it smelled when you walk in. The staff was nice and helpful."

"Angels Senior Living at The Reserves Of Idlewild was a newer facility. I like the room for my wife. They were repainting everything. I like the lady who took me on a tour there, and it looked like they had everything that we needed. They even set us up with a preferred rehab specialist there, so it was pretty amazing. They had a rehab center. They had three meals a day. They had different levels of care. They had a bus to take people around, a beauty shop, entertainment, and activities. It was a modern facility."

"My mom will move into Tampa Gardens Senior Living. It's a beautiful place. It's pretty inside and nice outside. The rooms were big enough; for what she was paying, they were a nice size. Also, the food was included. It's a decent offer for that size room and all the amenities. They could work out, and the gardens were so pretty. The place was kept up very nicely, and the people were nice. There's an emergency button in her room, and it seemed good. The staff was excellent."

"My father is living in Connerton Court, and he is very happy there. The staff is really good and caring with the residents. I was able to eat dinner there with my father. They have a restaurant-like area where you can go and eat with the family. The food is good, and they do have a good portion of it. They have different variety every day, which I like. The place is very clean. They also do a lot of social events with the residents. They do arts and crafts and decorations for the holidays. They paint pictures on the wall sometimes. They also have a sing-along every Friday. They have a happy hour area where some people come in and do some entertaining for the residents. The residents serve them snacks in return. "

"I toured Angels Senior Living at Dunedin. It's a very small community, and the whole unit is memory care. The rooms were very nice. I was only able to tour a single room. It was very nicely furnished and quite spacious for one person. The staff who gave the tour was very knowledgeable, very attentive, and interacted well with the patients as we were going through the facility because several of them came up to him and wanted contact. He was very caring and helped them. The eating area was nice. It was a larger dining room, and it had a patio that opened off and led out to the enclosed garden area, so it was nice."

"I found Brookdale Carrollwood for my mother. When you walk in the doors, you're walking directly into the living area and it is very large and very bright. There are a lot of lamps, a lot of lighting, and a lot of windows. There is a lot of furniture, a lot of places to sit, and I know this is what I'm looking for. "

"My mom is at Brookdale Northdale. The staff is very friendly and very nice. The rooms are okay. They are not huge, but they are a decent size. They have a hairdresser who comes in. I did not eat the food, but I go there frequently when my mother is eating. It is more of a nursing home atmosphere, but it is nice, and that’s what my mother needs. "
