Ruth's Promise is a one day a week program designed to give a much needed break for caregivers but is also structured to include many services for older adults that would be found at a day care or senior center. Ruth's Promise provides a safe, inviting, therapeutic and enjoyable community, environment and program for adults who cannot stay at home alone. While the program is designed to sustain and maximize function and cognition in the older adult, as well as provide enjoyable activities in a community setting, the program also gives much needed and deserved support to caregivers and allows them time to complete tasks or relax without the demands of caregiving. It is a one stop shopping health care facility, that allows underprivelaged Seniors to a senior day care, have conversation, visit a doctor and pharmacy on site, as well as shower help and nutritional meals. The Pace program keeps Seniors, though timely review out of nursing homes. "

"Maria's Adult Day Care Center is a new facility. They offer daily or weekly program. They have daily classes such as chair exercises, arts and crafts, and they have mental stimulation with computers. They cater their lunches. They have an RN on staff, too. I was very impressed with the facility. "

"I THANK GOD for this facility! It gives me a time out from caring full time and gives me a respite so some shopping and so I can go to the doctors myself at least 2 days a week. The staff is very understanding and caring as well. They come her to the house and pick her up and take her to the center and they also transport her back home. The drivers are very caring and gentile with the riders and safely secure her in her wheel chair for ransportation. I seriously do not know what I would do with out them!!! "

The Irv Weissman Adult Day Center, conveniently located in the Marion and Bernard L. Samson Nursing Center, provides a comprehensive adult day program for seniors. The program offers respite for caregivers and support for seniors living in their own homes. The program provides healthcare, socialization, activities and nutritional care for seniors in a warm, compassionate environment. In its most recent satisfaction survey in January 2019, the Irv Weissman Adult Day Center received a 99% satisfaction score.
