Ruth's Promise: A Community Care Center

Ruth's Promise offers activities and fellowship for older adults and respite for caregivers. Ruth's Promise is a one day a week program designed to give a much needed break for caregivers but is also structured to include many services for older adults that would be found at a day care or senior center. Ruth's Promise provides a safe, inviting, therapeutic and enjoyable community, environment and program for adults who cannot stay at home alone. While the program is designed to sustain and maximize function and cognition in the older adult, as well as provide enjoyable activities in a community setting, the program also gives much needed and deserved support to caregivers and allows them time to complete tasks or relax without the demands of caregiving. Ruth's Promise: A Community Care Center Services Comprehensive evaluation, care planning and monitoring by an R.N. Daily snack and meal according to prescribed diet Support and referral to community resources as needed Assistance with incontinence or personal care Therapeutic and recreational activities designed to: Support and maintain function and cognition Provide social interaction Promote exercise and well beingFoster creativity Enjoy intergenerational contactEncourage nutritional intake according to dietary needs Promote stimulation as well as rest and relaxationHave fun!
