Memory Lane Cottage at Tampa Palms

I visited Memory Lane Cottage at Tampa Palms. The only deterrent is that the cost is high, but the place itself was very clean. There was enough staff to see to the people. There were only 20 residents. They have had their same cook and cleaning crew for 10 years, so they don't have worker turnover. I thought that was impressive. The woman was very informative, helpful, and pleasant. She seemed to know all the residents and all their little ins and outs and things they like. She was very attentive. They had a lot going on and things to do. It looked to me like a very well-thought-out place for the comfort of their residents. The individual rooms get cleaned every day, and they were spacious enough; they all had their own private bathrooms, which were large. The community areas were clean, and they had things to do and staff around them. It was very good.

This “facility” has the true feeling of being home. When we arrive to visit my SIL, the staff reaches out to update us what she has accomplished since our last visit. Staff is very friendly, and the Activities Director always goes way above the norm. She’s always taking pictures and posts them on Facebook to keep families and friends informed on what their loved ones are doing. The volunteers are AWESOME and a love all residents. The Director is very friendly and loving to the residents also. The rooms are always clean and orderly! It is a pure joy to know that my SIL is so well cared for! I also don’t want to forget the Chef!! The food is delicious and well prepared and nutritious. My SIL always cleans her plate!

The Facility Is great . And the Care Staff Work so good , but the way management treats them are unacceptable . The new Administrator , Rhonda is the worst asset of MLC . She treats those girls so dirty . If it Wasn't for the great service of then care staff , I would take mom out .

We were leary to move our mother who has alzheimers from the facility that she had resided in for the past 4 years. When we arrived at the Memory Lane Cottages our fears melted away as our mother was welcomed into a bright well layed out room with an adjoining bathroom which was large and well equipped to meet her needs. The staff was warm, attentive and cheerful. The activities director engages the residents in bingo on the shaded patio. Light filters into the comfortable dining area and residents can move about freely from inside to the outside fenced backyard. The food is very appetizing and cooked right on site. This is the kind of place that a family can be proud to place their loved one!

Memory Lane Cottage is awesome! The building itself is so spacious, warm and comfortable. The activity program seems outstanding. And, the walking trails and courtyard are so large, that the residents can wander day and night and not be confined to the inside of a building. They were preparing food while I was there; the kitchen is open so the smells for the residents were fabulous. The operators have really brought an amazing program to our community!

Toured the facility and was very pleased with the staff and the look of the building. I must say this was the first memory building I visited and felted welcomed by the staff. They treated me as if my mother was already a resident there. They food being served was something I would have mind sitting down and enjoying myself. I would like to thank the staff for making me feel so welcomed and I look forward to moving my mother in real soon.
