Rooms are small, and not well ventilated. I had to rely on my own personal bedside fan to stay cool most nights. The facility is very loud at night with doors slamming and CNAS YElling. I was awoken several times by the un qualified CNAS coming in my room and yelling at us because the call light was on.while I was there. I did not have access to a handicapped bathroom. The staff would force many residents to sit or lay in a urinated saturated diaper.everyone was always too busy to help because their excuse was that they had 14 other people to take care of besides you. Felt more like a prison then a senior home.you are allowed to smoke outside, but only when the staff unlock the door to the smoking patio.the therapist are exceptiona.

My father was in here for a short time. He was unable to communicate or feed himself. I found him soiled and had no food to eat for days. I live in another county and work and my mother was not forthcoming where he stuck him. They had the emergency exits CHAINED and locked!!! It was filthy. The ceiling tiles either were missing or falling out of the ceiling due to roof leaks. The staff was MIA. Can we give negative stars - if so, they would have 10!

Shore Acres Rehab is a small facility. It looks institutional. It's dark down the hallways where the rooms are. They could make the place a little cleaner and maybe make it look brighter and welcoming. It's really stark. Also, the food that I saw that the residents were eating was not appetizing. The staff was a little unprofessional and carefree with some of the residents that were there. They should be a little bit more attentive.

My sister was sent here from a rehab, we didn't choose this facility. The outside is beautiful but the building is pretty old. It's clean but sometimes you can't do away with the smell especially if one is soiled. I don't agree with the care, my sibling is not taken care of properly. For instance, she gets diaper change after 12 hours. They don't even try to let her go to the bedside potty. Before, she was not given a bath but now she's lucky. She gets bathed once a week. Furthermore, she gets terrible meals. They don't even bother to cut them for her. She can't do it by herself since she can't move her other arm. They just gave her pork steak or a whole sandwich. Another thing that I don't agree is their billing services. My sister is overqualified for Medicaid. They take all her income (SS and pension) BUT still they bill her. How can she pay them because they're taking all her money? Their care is very unsatisfactory. I hope they will change how they run this place.
