This place is horrible. It represent Retirement Facilities very poorly. They keep their clients overly medicated. The privacy. The air conditioning is inoperative. Not to mention the dirty mattress and filthy sheets the clients are forced to sleep on. Clients have to continue to use the toilet that is filled with feces, blood, and urine due to the poor plumbing. No bedroom furniture that is functional. No recreational activities for the clients. Only one staff on shift with estimate 12 clients present. This place is not a good environment for animals let alone humans. If you love your family or have a caring heart do not consider this facility.

They provide good care to the residents, but it is basic. It may be difficult to understand; however, most of the residents with advanced dementia are better served in a nursing home where there is an nurse available 24 hrs. The owner is not hands on. It is left to the aides. Also, there are no mechanical lifts to safely transfer residents. The aides, again many not certified do all the lifting of residents. This can be unsafe for both the residents and staff. Over all, it is a good, clean, safe place. However, if it were my mom with advanced dementia, I know they'd be safer in a nursing home with certified trained aides and nurses.

My mother is currently living in this facility. She seems to have all the care that she needs there. The care is 24 hours and the nurses are sensitive to her needs. She is allowed to do most things for herself, but is aided accordingly for things such as baths and medicine intake. When visiting her staff is warm and friendly and my mother is always clean and tidy. The facility if very people friendly and I sometimes take my children there to spend the afternoon with their grandma. I have considered admitting my great aunt in the same facility because of the level of care and so that she can be closer to her sister. I recommend this facility to anyone living In North Miami because of its cleanliness and because it is convenient for visitation. My mother is respected and very happy there. I would not want it any other way.
