The Canopy at Beacon Woods is a relatively new facility. The staff is still coming on board. They're very attentive and respond to our requests for care. The food is very good, and because my brother is a diabetic, the chef was concerned about his diet. He actually sends me the menus for the next few weeks where I can tick off certain items for him to have or not have. The room is bigger and cleaner than what he had before. They have a courtyard, which is very, very nice, because it makes the residents feel like they're not locked up, and that they have freedom. They do activities out in the courtyard and it's very inviting. They're not just looking at four walls. Their dining room is nicely set up. My brother has his own apartment. It's not shared. And there's plenty of room. They just recently set up a technology where if a client is confused about reaching out to a family member, because either they don't have a phone and they have ask staff to assist and call, it's through Amazon Echo, and it's basically a very simple procedure where a family member will be able to call into the resident, and it can work vice versa. So it's a very important step forward as far as communication goes, because in my brother's case where he doesn't have a phone, unless he asks staff to call me, it's difficult to connect, but this technology is going to make it much easier. They have an activity director, so they put out an activity calendar for the month, and it lists a number of different items from one day to the next. Sometimes they have to vary from the menu a little bit. They periodically do excursions. You can look at the calendar and see a slew of different things that they offer, so I'm glad to see they pay attention to that because that's a very important factor to have some stimulation with activities. Financially, it's a little bit more expensive than some of the other places I looked at, but in exchange for that, the environment satisfies me.
