10/22/21 Absolutely WOULD NOT recommend this rehab/nursing to anyone!!! My grandmother who is almost 91 with mild dementia was living in an Assisted living villa up until last week when she had a fall and broke her hip. She had surgery right away and after many thorough conversations of my grandmas current health condition we were told by Terri they could definitely accommodate her. We explained up front that since she had the surgery her dementia had gotten worse but were told by Terri as well as many other nurses in the hosp. and doctors that this does normally happen to people of her age and that it sometimes takes 30 days for the anesthesia to wear off. My grandma has good moments & then moments where she is very confused and ornery post surgery. We were told they could definitely accommodate her (they also had records from her hospital stay that they reviewed before accepting her) and Terri even told us they do not use them very often but can put alarms on her bed and padding on the floor in case she got confused and tried to get up on her own as she had one incident in the hospital right after surgery where she tried to get out of bed. My mom received a call at 11:00 today from the ER at a local hospital that they had my grandma and did not have any history nor paperwork on her. All they were given was my moms phone number, the hospital did not even know where she had come from. HarbourWood did not even have the decency to call or text my mom or I to let us know they were sending my grandma to the hospital and we have phone records to prove this. I called and spoke to the Administrator Carlos and he didn't know anything about it, he looked up her records and said they sent her to the hospital as they were unable to meet her needs. They sent my grandma to the hospital without any of her clothes or dentures. My mom was told, she did not receive a call as they did not have her information which is completely false as Terri had been texting my mom and I both the day before multiple times, also my mom filled out paperwork upon her arrival there yesterday with all her information. Since my grandma was in a very confused state of mind from the anesthesia, pain from the surgery and all the changes she's been through they said they could not accommodate her there, therefore they sent her back to the hospital. Not only did they put her in an ambulance and send her back to the hospital with no history at all, they sent her to a different hospital from where she had had the surgery by mistake.

Cannot say enough about this incredible place. Every member of the team made a very difficult time so much easier. From the admissions team, to the admin. staff, to the amazing aids and nurses - they made my Dad so comfortable in his last days, and they took such great care of our family. In a word - exceptional. They rooms were clean and bright. They even had live music for residents. Highly recommend this facility !

My mother was at Harbourwood Health and Rehab. It was very good, and the people really tried to be helpful. She had to get moved from a shared room to a private room, but they accommodated her. The food there wasn't very good at all. They had a sitting area and a couple of activities rooms on two floors. My mom was still recovering at the time, so she had physical therapy there but didn't really participate in the activities. The staff was really good, they really worked with her, and when she was finally able to participate they were very patient, very sweet, and really good to her. Her room there was always kept clean and they always made the bed. It was as good as a rehab center can be. It's difficult because there are a lot of people in wheelchairs who have been there for a long time. It's sad, but the place itself was nice. If she had to go back to rehab, I would take her there.

My husband was at Harbourwood Health and Rehab Center for respite care. It was very nice. They seemed friendly, organized, and clean. I was happy enough leaving him there. He didn't like it though. He said the food was good. It's the only thing he liked.

Terrible place. They keep a good image to make you think its a good rehab center. My grandfather was given full access to coffee 24/7 without carrying that it rises his blood pressure. We tryed to take him out when his insurance ended, they thrented to call social services and the police because it goes aganst Dr orders. But only said because they thought we qualifyed for medicade. Once they found out he does not qualify they made him leave the same day. When we picked him up they wouldent give us he's breathing treatments and oxygen which he needs, saying that he never received oxygen which we have seen him in everyday. Once we got him home and sorted through his medicine, we found that they used his medication from home that they "required". they also have taken all of he's needed nercoducs. And only gave us the cheap medications. He didn't receive all of he's needed medications which made him sick. They absolutely do not care about the people there. DO NOT SUBJECT YOUR FAMILY TO A HORRABLE PLACE LIKE THIS!

many visits to the rehab center, some good some bad, for the most the employees are friendly and some of the mgt have very nasty attitudes, treating others as if they are dirt under their feet. some of the residents as i have seen during the meals are well taken care of you have the complainers, ones that are nor will never be satisfied. But what stood out the most as i drove up to the building seeing residents out there smoking and it looked like a flop house. if i were one to be looking for the first time that would of been my first turn off, then as i was visiting my neighbors friend listening to how some of the mgt spoke to the CNAs well the hospitality just left my mind, I was there a total of 6 times leaving each time with a negative vibe, then I read the news paper as i wished for change it was just the spark that may set the fire God bless and Good luck to all the hard working staff there and I really hope that the mgt gets a reality check they all need it

HarbourWood has a courtyard, and it seems to be a very clean place. The nurses are fairly good. It is long term care, so there are two people in the room. I don't know about the food because my husband is fed through a tube, so I don't know if the food there is good or not. They have bingo, and they have singing. I'm fairly satisfied with everything that is there.

I found Harbourwood for my sister. If it wasn't for me calling every day, checking on her and making sure certain things got done, I don't think they would get done. I feel sorry for the people that don't have any relatives. I'm wondering if they're short-handed and need more staff. Some of the staff were better than the others.
