My parents moved into Solstice Senior Living at Groton. First of all, the director there is wonderful. He took his time to speak with us. He sat down with us, and gave us a lovely tour. The facilities themselves are just excellent, very impressive, and just everyone seemed friendly, and it was just a very nice place overall. We're very lucky they have one apartment with a private entrance, which is just perfect for my parents, and it's great because they have the dog there with them. That makes it just a little bit easier when it's time to go out and walk the dog. It's a really nice apartment, very clean, up to date, and perfectly good storage as well.
They offer three meals a day. They have a lovely library area, and a public sitting area. They have activities every day. They have a separate game room where you can go and play games. They've got this very nice, separate kitchen area. If somebody wants to host a private family party -- because the apartments would be a little small for more than two or three people visiting -- they've got that lovely room as well. Lots of perks, very nice, and updated. They've had crafting activities, movies, and I believe there's a veterans group that meets, and different club like activities. I think there's a gardening club. I know when you walk in, they've got a board there, they've got the activities listed each day, and there's at least three or four activities daily. It's a nice variety.
