They treated my mother like family. It is affordable and beautiful. I recommend this place to all my friends and family.

Beautiful place to live. I enjoy it very much. The food, activities, and the staff are excellent. They worked with me to get me a private room and bath. I have stayed at many assisted living communities before and they are by far the best!

I lived at this facility for a year and a half. With the exception of the owner Matt, the Administrator Kris, and a couple of the staff members (two, literally) this place is a living nightmare. The staff exhibits a blatant disregard for the residents, usually too busy talking or texting on their cell phones about personal affairs to do their job or by any means make an attempt to be courteous or exert any extra effort to make a resident's day a little better. On top of this, resident's personal affairs, medical information and history, and life circumstances are discussed freely and openly in the hallways and common areas by staff either staff member-to-staff member, staff member-to-other residents, and even staff member-to-outsiders (friends and family). Rumors and unfounded speculation regarding residents and their personal life is generated and circulated around by the staff on a daily basis and often discussed with other residents. It seems the staff as a whole seek to intentionally eliminate any sense of dignity and/or personal privacy from the residents' lives. There is also a rampant and obvious drug problem that has remained unaddressed and continues to grow from within, completely unchecked. Smoking of both cigarettes and marijuana in the rooms is commonplace and the hallways and stairs frequently wreak of it as a result. Bottom line, if you have a choice (and with the rapidly expanding group housing and assisted-living facilities in Colorado you do), do not choose Point of the Pines Gardens. Especially if you are looking for a nice facility to cater to the evolving needs of a senior still participating in the day-to-day. This place is much closer to a mental health facility or halfway home then anything else. The owner tries his best to keep the place clean and maintained and the administration has hearts of gold. But, the staff and open-door policy regarding residents has turned it into a last-ditch alternative to homelessness and not much more.

This place sucks! It sucks all your money out of your pocket. There's no transportation onsite, and the food is horrible! It's not worth living there!!! My mom lived there only for a short period of time, we could not stand it!

Mom is at Point of the Pines, and we want to transfer her to Massachusetts. She has been in there probably about 2 years, and it’s a really nice facility. The only reason that we’re thinking of moving is that I am the only person that she has in the State of Colorado. It’s a good facility; we just need somewhere where she has more visitors. They have a lot of different activities. The food I think is kind of so-so, but as far as activities go, they have plenty of activities, and the facility is very clean. They decorated for the holidays. The staff is very friendly, and they’re very good in regards to calling me to let me know if she was running low on some kind of medication. We are happy with her there other than the fact that I’m the only one that can go and see her in this area, so she doesn’t have anybody that visits other than myself.
