My mother has dementia with multiple physical challenges so she can be a handful but the staff interact with her patiently. Mom has been in three facilities but this has been the best by far. The care is better than the other facilities. The food, room, and staff are superior.

Guardian Angel Villa was most definitely unlike any other facility that I have ever visited. It was a large home that was turned into a handicapped accessible caregiving facility - and it had very few clients inside - which made it perfect for specialized individual care. The lady there was very nice, and paid special attention to each client. She had a very warm and caring personality that created a positive atmosphere as soon as she walked into the room - and my client talked to her as a friend rather than as an RN. Although it was a small facility, it was ran and organized just as a large facility would be. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone in the San Diego area that is looking for a family-owned individual care plan for their elderly relative.

This is a small residential care facility that offers total assisted living features. There were five residents through my sister's stay. This facility is actually a mansion on top of a mountain that overlooks the entire Valley Center region. The views alone are healing and magnificent. The bedrooms are spacious with high ceilings, private bathrooms with complete handicap bars and security devices, lots of closet space and storage for each resident. There are two sitting rooms one with a vaulted ceilings, overstuffed furniture and an open bar area leading into the kitchen and kitchen dining space. Each morning breakfast is served in the spacious kitchen dining and each dinner is served beautifully in the formal dining room. There is a separate sitting formal living room with a grand piano. The owner's husband often plays for the residents in the evening. The living facilities are resort like yet comfortable and home-like in every way. The physical, emotional and spiritual care offered to each resident by the owner and her staff is beyond compare. This is the very best of the best of personal small facilities, and the very highest level of gentle, loving and professional care.The facility is always immaculate and the residents are well managed through their daily routines, medication, doctors appointments and recreational outings whenever it is possible.The owner, Cindy, has a tremendous amount of experience and empathy. She is never too tired to help and is always on top of her staff's education and implementation of care to each resident.All in all, this is the best of the best, period.
