I'm in Villa Santa Barbara. I'm in physical therapy. We go to good places, and we have good activities all day long every day. Yesterday they had some kind of brain thing. We play chess, bingo, and Yahtzee. Upkeep and maintenance are excellent. The staff is very kind, very compassionate and very professional. The food is excellent. We have chicken and rice and just the usual food, but you get your pick. If you don't like what's the special of the day is, you can choose from a number of other things on the menu. I particularly like the salmon.

I went to Villa Santa Barbara. The people were extremely nice. The people there were happy, engaged in things, and laughing and enjoying themselves. The room wasn't that pretty though. And the building was very old. You have to use the elevators to get to the rooms. The hallways were crowded, and I could smell smoke in the hallway. The atmosphere, I thought, was very good. But the rooms were small. And the patio was shared with the neighbors. They had their stuff out all over the patio.

I had the chance to tour Villa Santa Barbara recently, and I left really impressed. The rooms are spotless and cozy, with a welcoming feel that makes you think of home right away. You can tell they take great care of the place. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone I met was so friendly and kind, and it’s clear they genuinely care about the residents. There’s a real sense of community, and you can tell the staff goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable and cared for. The food also deserves a mention! It’s clear they've put a lot of thought into the meals, making sure they’re both tasty and meet the specific needs of the residents. It feels personalized in a way you don’t always see. Overall, Villa Santa Barbara feels like a wonderful place to live—warm, inviting, and full of great people. Definitely a place I would recommend to anyone looking for a caring, supportive environment!

Villa Santa Barbara is quiet and clean. We have physical therapy, movies, and activities. They've got chair volleyball and scenic drive. The staff is very professional and very kind. The food is good most of the time. It's expensive, but I think the value is good. It's an excellent senior community.

Dawn goes above and beyond to create tons of activities for everyone! Great food, although limited vegan/vegetarian options, you can always request and Maria is a great cook. Lovely patios and rooftop terrace reviews over the city is spectacular! Prices are reasonable and a very intimate friendly environment.

I toured Villa Santa Barbara. All in all, I thought it was very good. I thought the staff would be very attentive. They had lots of activities which I don't think my sister wants to partake in, but it's nice to know there are options. It's ideally located, it's close to the library. It's close to the art museum. It's close to the movie theater. They also had underground parking. This particular unit had a small private balcony, but it was nice. They served three meals a day which was convenient. Our host and tour guide was terrific. She was thorough clear and attentive to our needs. As we walked around we bumped into various people doing various things. They all seemed very pleasant, very focused, and energetic. The dining room looked quite large. Every dinner they put on white tablecloths which have little detail. The facility was well-designed but maybe it's a little outdated. They have a little library, which they were in the process of remodeling. They had a game room. They had a gym. They didn't have a swimming pool which was too bad, but it seemed like a nice facility all the way around.

My mother moved into Villa Santa Barbara. We chose it because of the atmosphere, the quality of the staff, the quality of the food, and how they care for the people there. They have a way of treating them with a lot of dignity and making them feel like they're a part of something, not just stuck in a room and not cared about. I looked at some other places, and they didn't have that same care and compassion. My mom is in a one-bedroom studio that opens up into a patio area, which is nice. They have activities every day. They have a full-time chef who prepares three meals every day. There's also an ala carte menu. They have assigned seating so that the residents feel like they're sitting with their friends every day. My mother likes that. You have to let them know that people are going to come and eat with you, so they can set up a special table. They make it kind of special for the visitors or even for the residents. They have a walking club. They take them out with their facility bus. They have a game night and happy hour. They have a beauty salon. It's pretty comfortable for my mother. The staff is amazing.

I'm currently at Villa Santa Barbara. It is nice that they have good housecleaning. They make the bed and things like that. There is a good shower and plenty of hot water. The meals they provide are good. They have a treadmill, but I don't see anybody use it. They have a library, a recreation room, and a screened in room. It is amazing all the things that they have here. They also have underground parking, which is nice. Everything's good. There are many activities.

Overall, Villa Santa Barbara was a very nice and very comfortable place. It's well located. The chef was caring about the different dietary requirements of the residents, and then the activities that they have were well rounded. They would meet a lot of the needs of different people. I felt like the tour was very thorough. The director showed me everything that I would be interested in and I got a really good feeling about the whole place by just being there.

I love Villa Santa Barbara. It was great. They had assisted living and independent living. I'd like to move there. It's clean, appeared to be well managed, and the people seemed happy. I talked to a couple of residents while I was waiting for the executive director to come out. One of the residents said she is very happy living there. Meals are included, but they have their own chef. She tries to cook tasteful meals every day. If you don't like what's on the menu, there's always an available type menu; they have specials at night. Even with Covid, they eat in the dining room, but they're separated. Tables only sit maybe one or two people. They had free laundry, but you do it yourself. They've got spacious rec room with pool table, library, TV, and game tables. It was immaculate, well maintained, and clean. I only saw a couple of rooms, and they were kind of small (but they weren't jail cells). They were still adequate. The bathrooms were a good size and big enough for at least a tub shower. There were different levels of care. You could be very independent, like the lady I talked to. She was very independent and took care of herself. They have a nurse on duty all the time, so you can go all the way up to actually needing nursing care. If you started out very independently, you wouldn't have to move to an assisted living. For an increase in fee, you can have the nursing checking on you. Everything's right there. If you want independent living or if you want assisted living, all services are there. It was very nice. I like the fact that they check on you every day, including the executive director I talked to. She tries to meet with all of her tenants every day. If you don't show up for a meal, they're gonna knock on your door just to make sure you're OK.

I went a few times to Villa Santa Barbara to visit some clients and stuff. I think it's clean, but they had a bit of assisted living odor in that place. It's a good place. They seemed pretty good about updating.

2 months ago in November I visited the Villa Santa Barbara for a potential place to put my mother in better care. When I got inside, the establishment was well kept and the staff was helpful. The atmosphere was welcoming. I had lunch with the Sales Director and we talked about all the things I had questions on. They let me try some of their food as well. When the chef brought the plates in and placed mine in front of me I was wowed. It looked fresh and delicious! The chef told me it was all from scratch. The plate presentation was very pretty. It really showed me that the chef cared about what was in the food and that it was safe for the residents to eat. Her attitude was also very humble, which is a deal when it comes to a very talented chef. I would recommend this place to everyone who is considering the Villa Santa Barbara. Thank you the Villa Santa Barbara for the great experience.

My ex-husband moved into Villa Santa Barbara. He's really happy there, and they really take good care of him. Even though with the pandemic he's been comfortable there, and they look forward to the day when there will be more activities. He's happy with the food, there's a Tai-chi class he enjoys, and he likes the staff. They're very pleasant, they know him by name of course, and they always come in and pick up his place after he's used them, and they bring another meal when it's time. I would like other people to know how good a place it is.

Villa Santa Barbara seemed nice. We were looking for, at least, a one-bedroom and they seemed pretty good but on the small side. The facility itself was very nice, but it’s not one that we’re considering at this moment. They have a game room and a small exercise room.

We visited Villa Santa Barbara, and they took us everywhere around the building. They showed us all the different areas that were available to everyone, the dining area, and where you could play cards or whatever. They showed me some rooms that were available to look out. They did a very good job. The room had a very nice setup. The dining area was very nice, and very busy. They had cards; you could sign up, and they could take you on trips. There is a casino in the area; so they could take you down there.
