"The location was perfect for us. The grounds were very, very pretty and the staff seemed very friendly. The accommodations were nice, and the dining area was well lit and spacious. They had a beauty salon, games, outdoor facilities, shuttle services, and activities outside of the facility that they would take the residents to."

The owner is a registered nurse as well as her three children who work along side her. Doctors, psychiatrist, podiatrist home health and hospice visit all Genesis homes on a regular basis. "My husband is a resident of Atria Del Rey. There's nothing really that I can say bad or negative about it. He seems to be thriving there. Any issues I had, they have been addressed. I plan to leave him there as long as he is unable to walk. I'm trying to get some therapy help right now for physical therapy. The caregivers are wonderful. The director complies and answers all my questions. Then texts me or calls me on the phone to let me know what's going on there right now. There are some programs that he has not been introduced to. I was going to start going in the morning, so I can take him to these different activities. They have a beautiful patio, and I take him out every time I go. I don't want him cooped up in a room because he is not socializing right now. They have a beauty salon and haircut for men. They have good food. It is really good food. The caregivers are just really excellent helpers. They are on top of everything whenever I call. I am able to talk to him, which is a marvelous thing. They have a beautiful lounge, or TV room where they congregate after dinner. I've been going in the evenings, so I stay after dinner. They watch old movies or whatever the community wants to watch. There's always somebody in that room. There's always a caregiver or two in that room with them watching over them. It is very important because I would be afraid that he would get up from his chair and fall. It's just a beautiful place to be at. It's just marvelous. I can't say anything wrong. It's very clean. They are really cautious about sanitizing things. I think there are 16 or 18 patients. The only thing is that it is a lot of patients for 4 people at three different shifts. They really don't get one to one conversation with them, but they do get the care they need. It's very expensive for me, but I'm managing."

"We toured Oakmont of San Antonio Heights. Fantastic. They were great every step of the way. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. We talked about what I perceived my parents' needs were. She had some very good advice. She had just kind of gone through the same thing with her grandmother, and so she was very helpful on the advice. The facility was absolutely gorgeous. The rooms were top of the line, very, very nice, and esthetically very pleasing. It's a newer facility, so the rooms look high end and luxurious. The amenities include doing the laundry, food, and activities set up for the people. They had a gorgeous and huge library. I was surprised at how big the library was there. There were lots of sitting areas and games. It was a very inviting atmosphere. They did send home some baked goods, so my wife enjoyed those very much. I would like to move there myself."

"Even though it is an older facility, it was nice and clean. The residents looked satisfied. I have a friend who used to live there, and I had visited him. They had activities like bingo and pinochle. Everybody liked it, and they were happy living there. "
