Six months after my mom was at Balance, Del Monte Assisted Living bought the company. Employees of many years suddenly were let go; communication was horrible not returning my calls; heat off 3 consecutive days & called Neal the owner & he said he wasn't aware of no heat when my mom complained for 3 days; no cook available one night so company provided delivered pizza for ALL residents; several times no hot water for my mother to shower delaying 2 times per week showers, & there were times staff "ran out of time on their schedule" so she didn't get her shower; facility lost her brand new wheelchair & wouldn't help her find it or return my calls; when I checked her out of facility, staff gave another residents prescription bottle to us & gave us an empty bottle & wouldn't fill it; increased my mother's monthly rent an ADDITIONAL $650.00 MORE per month. That is when we pulled her out of this facility. Back door always unlocked & anyone can just walk into any room. They ignored my calls.

My parents moved to Balance Assisted Living and Memory Care primarily because of the location. We've had great experiences with them, so far. The food and the staff are wonderful. At this point, we don't have any issues. The staff has a great attitude. My parents have been raving about the food, they love it. They do activities like bingo, and they have activities outside. The facilities are very nice. They do haircutting and they have a courtyard where people can hang out.
