"We absolutely love Camden Springs Gracious Retirement Living. We got my father into a studio. It's still expensive, but a reasonable price. They've been great and I guess the management lives on the premises. They've been very in touch with us. My father just moved in recently and we needed to get his cable hooked up and we were having some problems with that. Even the management called me yesterday to take care of it. So they are very, very involved. My father is happy, he's loving it there because everybody is great, in a great mood, very nice, and very kind, even the workers are nice. It's been really, really good. We're very happy with it. We actually had friends that were there before him so we were really aware of it to begin with. Everybody was very polite and friendly. My father loves the food. He tells me it's delicious. He'll call me and let me know what he's eating that day. The facility is nice and in good shape. They have quite a busy schedule, but everything's different right now cause it's COVID, so they're not doing a lot of stuff. From what it looks and appears like, it seems like there's quite a bit they can do when everything is gonna be back to normal. All these kind of places were expensive, but I think this one is rated special for what we got. We were able to get him into a studio with a kitchenette for $2,600 dollars. It might be the smallest studio, but he's real happy with it. He thinks it's great. The size is fine too, so we're real happy. "

"We went to look at WellQuest of Elk Grove. The color scheme was very peaceful. The staff members were very nice and helpful. It was the only property that had a pool. It had a chair lift to get you in and out of the pool, which was probably its biggest selling feature. So my mother-in-law had the option of water exercise and stuff like that. To be honest, it was just the whole package. There were so many things for her to do and many places for her to hang out. She didn't have to stay in her room. The apartments were very nice. There were two that we looked at, and the one we put a deposit on had plenty of room for my mother-in-law. There was room for her to have a bed in one room and then her chair in the other room. There were kitchen facilities within the room, like a microwave. She could have a refrigerator where she could bring food to the room if she wanted. She's diabetic, so she eats snacks during the day and has to have food, and that was available for her in the room where she could be comfortable. The fact that there were services each week for laundry or if she needed help getting in and out, there was always somebody there for her. She liked all of that, too. The front is so unappealing because it's right off the freeway, but once you get inside, it's like a whole new site. I would want to live there. It was very easy to get around. We talked to the chef, and we were most interested in the fact that my mother-in-law would be able to get meals for diabetics, be able to kind of customize them a little bit, and have input into what she has. They had no problem sharing things for diabetics and making sure that what she needed was there for her. They had outside activities where they would take you somewhere to do things other than shopping or whatever."

"The staff at Regency Place was excellent. It's very nice and immaculate. They had a pool and pretty much everything that I would be interested in, but the price was a little high. The food was excellent. The room was nice, but it was a little bit small for me, and there was a kitchen. The dining room was neat and clean. Everybody seemed to be having a good time. I met a couple who were very happy with it."

"We moved in a week ago. So far, we have been very pleased. There are lots of activities, but we haven't done any of them yet because we have been so busy moving. There are three meals a day. The staff is very friendly. They offer shuttle service to doctors' appointments and once-a-week housecleaning and bed changing. They also take care of our medications."

"I saw some units in the assisted and independent living in O'Connor Woods. They were very functional, very modern, and very nice. Lighting was not as good as the other facility we saw, and it's smaller and an older facility, but the units were lovely. The person who gave the tour was excellent, warm, open, and knowledgeable. They have so many choices to stay active. They have a swimming pool, exercise and balance programs, a library, classes online through the University of the Pacific, guest visits, gardens, and anything you'd want. It is an established community and so pretty much anything you would be interested in, you could probably do it there."

"My brother is in Rio Las Palmas. My mom also was there, so we've had a long relationship with Rio Las Palmas, and they've always been upfront about everything and very transparent and took very good care of my mom. They've really helped my brother stabilize. I've dined there and it's above average, and my brother likes it, so that's important. They've got a wide variety of stuff there. They have games, music, entertainment, outings, and movies. They've got literally stuff going on every day. I would recommend families visit it."

"I went with a friend to check out the Plymouth Square Retirement Community to help him find a place for he and his wife. He still enjoys working part time and is unable to care for her on his own. At this facility, they seem to be able to accommodate most senior circumstances with a variety of living options available. We thought his mother would like the little park area outside, which was close to the main door. There was space enough to have parties, picnics, barbeques and other gatherings with friends and family. The receiving area was fresh and bright with a nice colors and furniture. The interior communal rooms were all designed with beautiful views in a calming, current décor and lots of light and fresh air. The social rooms offered easy ways for seniors to visit with each other, make crafts, play games, watch TV and films and participate in many other stimulating activities. Many outings include local sight seeing, nature walks and visits to all of the great activities that Stockton and its surrounding area has to offer. It looked as though the staff could easily manage all of the residents, which is important to us. Seniors can use exercise facilities at any time and also go on daily walks, with assistance as needed. Aerobics and yoga classes are offered and residents are encouraged to exercise daily. The menus all had healthy food options for all kinds of diets. Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, and whenever requested. The dining rooms were nice and the food we saw looked and smelled delicious. Seniors may also opt to prepare food themselves in their apartments if desired. The well-designed units had balconies with nice views and lovely grounds surrounding them. Bathrooms and all areas were designed with safety in mind. All of the seniors living in this community seemed very content, in a living environment specifically tailored to their needs. This living environment would work for my friend and his wife, since it is designed as a retirement community with just the amount of support they would need. Definitely one of the favorite assisted living facilities that we've visited thus far in the area. "

"I toured The Park at Laguna Springs. It was beautiful. They hadn't quite finished the apartment, but I saw the cottages. They wanted almost $7,000 a month for the cottages, but they were very nice. If I had that kind of money, I would have moved in there that day because it's very, very nice. They have a two-bedroom-two-bath, and it's a beautiful place. They have activities. They have all the amenities that you would want there. They have everything. They have exercise, they have transportation, and they have a movie theater. They give you two meals and then they have a bistro there that you could go in if you don't want to eat what they have for you there. I liked that place. It was nice. The monthly rent is just too high. But I understand that they have to contract other stuff like if you have to go to the beautician, they don't have the employees right there onsite. But wellness does, they have all their employees right there, so they don't have to contract that for anything. I only met a couple of the staff members, and they were very nice. The facility is top-notch. It's beautiful."

"My sister is living in a 55+ community called Woodbridge. They have individual houses, and most of them have two-bedroom and two-baths. They have bingo, cards, swimming, and a gym. It’s not a gated community, but I haven’t heard of any problems, and what impressed me the most is the open floor plan of the home. "

"I found Bruceville Point for myself. It does not open until June 1st, and the timing was good for me because I did not needsome place until June 1st. It is brand new, so everything is new. It has a full kitchen and all the units have a washer and dryer, which were things that I was looking for. It is licensed as assisted living, but they have independent living too. Any room can be converted to assisted living. It had everything I wanted. The staff seemed to be honest in asking me questions of what I needed or what I wanted. I guess that they were being fair with me and thorough. I like the coloring, and I like where it is situated. They are very convenient in that way."

"We have a single house with two bedrooms and nice backyards. There’s lots of activities for us to do, like golfing on the golf course, swimming pools, Zumba, and tai-chi. Trilogy is very nice and what we are looking for in a community. "
