"We're currently at Regency Place in a full one-bedroom apartment. They have independent, assisted and memory care. The staff is great. My only complaint is the location as it's very far from all of our friends. The food is excellent. They have lots of different things like card games, poker, bingo, and trips. They provide meals, and we do our laundry in our unit. I drive, but they have a bus to take you to doctors."

"Eskaton Village Carmichael is beautiful. It has an enclosed pool, 9-hole putting green, a very large cafeteria/restaurant, and beautiful grounds. The apartments were a little larger than most places. It was the best of all the centers I visited. The staff was very knowledgeable. The food and the dining setup were very good. You name it, they've got it. They had exercise rooms and classes, a huge hot tub area, massages, beauty parlors, and people can ride their scooters because it's a large place. They also have music, movies, sing-alongs, and plays."

"It’s clean and real nice. My mother is taken care of as far as I can tell. They play games in the activity room: tossing the ball, physical activities, up and down chairs, singing, and dancing. Her room is just the right size. It’s a fairly good place. "

"Bear Hollow Estates Gracious Retirement is a brand-new place. It's just a complete facility; it's got everything. The people working are professionals. The facility itself is very clean."

"We liked Winding Commons the most, but it was a little bit expensive. The facility was cozy and they had a lot of amenities like free wi-fi and housekeeping services once a week. The apartment was really nice. They had two meals a day and exercise classes. The woman who gave us the tour was nice and friendly. It was a warm community. The menu looked good and they had a list of monthly activities."

"I am here in Emeritus at Carmichael Oaks. This place offers a lot for independent living. We get our 3 meals a day served in restaurant style and the meals are pretty good. We get cleaning once a week which includes cleaning our linen and making the bed. It leaves you with no housekeeping to do and no cooking, so it’s great. They have something going on almost all the time. They seemed to have a thing with movies. They can take you out to a movie once a week. I know a lot of people seem to like to go to the casinos; they do that. They’ll offer a place to take you for lunch once a month. I didn’t go, but they went to one of the fancy restaurants in downtown Sacramento this month. I play bridge a lot -- there are a couple of different groups that play bridge. They also have book discussions and they have all kinds of other games that people seemed to like to play. It’s just a pleasant atmosphere. I’ve been here just over a month and I’m learning people’s names. It’s quite good and I’m quite satisfied with the place. "

"WellQuest of Elk Grove is very nice. They have all levels. They showed me the cottage and we looked at a studio apartment. I met one lady there, and she said it was a very nice place. It was beautiful, well-kept, and very clean. The staff was very nice and very friendly. If the price was a little bit lower, I would be able to afford to go there. But to think about paying $48,000 a year, that's kind of high for me. I can't pay that kind of money. The staff was very nice."

"We absolutely love Camden Springs Gracious Retirement Living. We got my father into a studio. It's still expensive, but a reasonable price. They've been great and I guess the management lives on the premises. They've been very in touch with us. My father just moved in recently and we needed to get his cable hooked up and we were having some problems with that. Even the management called me yesterday to take care of it. So they are very, very involved. My father is happy, he's loving it there because everybody is great, in a great mood, very nice, and very kind, even the workers are nice. It's been really, really good. We're very happy with it. We actually had friends that were there before him so we were really aware of it to begin with. Everybody was very polite and friendly. My father loves the food. He tells me it's delicious. He'll call me and let me know what he's eating that day. The facility is nice and in good shape. They have quite a busy schedule, but everything's different right now cause it's COVID, so they're not doing a lot of stuff. From what it looks and appears like, it seems like there's quite a bit they can do when everything is gonna be back to normal. All these kind of places were expensive, but I think this one is rated special for what we got. We were able to get him into a studio with a kitchenette for $2,600 dollars. It might be the smallest studio, but he's real happy with it. He thinks it's great. The size is fine too, so we're real happy. "

"My father-in-law is in Rose Arbor Village's assisted living facility. It's been great, and they respond quickly to his calls. He's kind of difficult sometimes, but they handle him with care and grace. His room is simple but nice and accessible. The staff members communicate, and they're willing to work with us. They have movies, and they go on field trips or outings. It's nice because he wouldn't do that otherwise. The dining area is nice, too. We can go visit and eat there if we want and pay a small fee. I think the food was also good."

"Mom loved Summerset a lot. The staff was very friendly, very nice, and very professional. They treated us to lunch, and the food was really nice. They have a chef in the restaurant, and he served our food restaurant style with little garnishes and sauces. It’s very upscale -- but affordable -- and I was impressed. The people seemed to be very nice and very caring. The rooms were modern, and the colors, paint, and carpeting were all done in a very modern style. The floor plans were acceptable and big. "

"The Commons was a good facility. The reason I moved her out is because the rates just kind of exorbitant. She had a fairly large 1-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette. The staff was fine, but because it's a large institution they have a lot of turnover. There would be different people over time. The food was very good and the dining room was like a very nice restaurant. They have a lot of recreation like outings, at least 3 or 4 times a week. And they have a lot of activities, like exercises, bingo, music, and informational seminars. It just didn't fit into my cost structure after a while. "

"My dad moved into Cogir of Stock Ranch Senior Living. We chose it because of the number of activities that they have; they have a lot of activities. The staff is very friendly and professional, and his apartment is very nice, it's renovated and very clean. It's a beautiful facility that's very clean with lots of space and it's very open. My dad says that the food is very good."

"I toured Blossom Vale Senior Living. I liked the actual studio apartment. It was very nice. It had fake wood floors, but they were beautiful. It had a great enclosed deck area looking out to trees and a garden. I only met some people, but they were very friendly, nice, and pleasant. It was clean. It has two living areas and a dining room. It's smaller but homey and comfortable. I think it would be really good for someone who needed a smaller atmosphere."

"I am very fortunate for the high level of care Friendly Care Home II provided to my Grandmother for 7 years. Safety and daily care were very important for my Grandmother who had dementia. The house is large and always clean. Flowers and seasonal decor are always on the dining table. Homemade food and friendly care givers. "
